"No, don't kill me! I didn't lie to you! I can help you! I know where they are..."
A strong will to survive caused her to struggle to utter broken, intermittent sounds.
Seeing her say that, the griffin leader raised his hand, signaling Lionfeather to stop.
Lion Feather released his grip.
Hu Sha collapsed to the ground, clutching her neck and gasping for breath.
"Do you know where they are? Female, if you dare to play us, I'll kill you right now," Lionfeather threatened fiercely.
Hu Sha trembled and nodded hurriedly, "How could I dare to lie to you? I was also lied to by Hu Shen. I was harmed by the Ten Thousand Beasts Mountain. I am willing to help you."
Lion Feather had no patience to listen to her nonsense. "Where are they?"
"Hu Shen couldn't have just vanished into thin air with so many orcs. You couldn't find them for the first three days, so they must have been hiding."
“I’m sure it’s their first time here, so they couldn’t possibly know the exact location of the Griffin Tribe. There must be some orcs here helping them.”
Hu Sha said a long string of flattering words.
Fearing that Lion Feather would be dissatisfied, she was about to choke her again.
Lion Feather was taken aback when he heard this.
"helper?"
How could he not have thought of that!
The griffin leader's face darkened. "These bastards actually dared to team up with the orcs of Ten Thousand Beasts Mountain to deal with me. I think they all have a death wish!"
"Grandpa, where are we going now?" Lionfeather asked hurriedly when he saw the griffin leader stand up.
They definitely can't go back to the Griffin Tribe. If those orcs use the same methods again, they'll probably all die there.
The griffin leader sneered, "Do you really think we griffin orcs are cowards? Little Feather, I'll take you to a safe place first. Don't worry, they won't find you there. We'll go back and settle accounts with them after we're settled."
...
The underground caves of the rabbit tribe.
Su Tang watched as the rabbit-tribe beastmen crawled out of the dark cave, carrying bag after bag of supplies.
It's like ants carrying food, with no end in sight.
Did they win?
She waited at the cave entrance, and only after all the beastmen had returned did she see Hu Shen and Su Jianyuan at the very back.
"How are you? Are you alright? Did you catch the lion's feather?"
"Don't worry, I'm fine. It's just that Hu Shen..." Su Jianyuan teased her deliberately, drawing out his words and glancing at Hu Shen twice.
Su Tang's heart tightened, and she stepped forward to lift Hu Shen's hand, examining it from head to toe.
"Are you injured? Where are you injured? How serious is it? What's the wound...?"
Watching Su Tang walk around in front of him with her head down, looking worriedly at her wound, Hu Shen's lips curled up slightly.
He couldn't bear to tease her, and said gently, "I'm not hurt."
Su Tang paused, then glared angrily at Su Jianyuan, "What are you saying if you're not injured?"
It made her worry for nothing.
"I haven't finished speaking yet. What I meant to say is that Hu Shen killed most of the Griffin Beastmen by himself. That's really true!" Su Jianyuan chuckled and gave a thumbs up.
Su Tang was so angry that she tried to kick him, but he dodged it by arching his backside forward.
Seeing this, Sibao let out a howl and pounced on Su Jianyuan.
Si Bao could now stand up and touch Su Jianyuan's shoulder, and then he could easily push Su Jianyuan to the ground.
It turned its head, flicked its tail, and grinned at Su Tang.
It was as if it were saying: Mother, come quick, I've caught him for you, kick him hard, he can't escape.
Su Jianyuan cursed and swore. Not to mention that Si Bao was quite strong, he had exhausted his strength today and couldn't push Si Bao away.
Seeing Si Bao's appearance, Su Tang and Hu Shen both laughed.
...
The supplies brought back from the Griffin tribe filled the entire Rabbit tribe.
Most of those supplies were plundered from other tribes.
The rabbit tribe was overflowing, so Uncle Gan immediately ordered all the rabbit orcs to put down what they were doing and start digging tunnels to store supplies.
The rabbit-tribe orcs also contributed, and Hu Shen said he would share half of the supplies with them.
Uncle Gan was flattered and quickly shook his head in refusal, "How can this be? The Griffin Tribe was conquered by you, we don't want it, we can't accept it..."
In fact, Hu Shen was a benefactor to their tribe.
He was too grateful to even have the nerve to share supplies with them.
It took all of their orcs several trips to bring all these supplies back.
In the end, it was only after Hu Shen said that they couldn't take it back that Uncle Gan reluctantly agreed to leave one-third of the supplies behind.
All the orcs were overjoyed.
The males worked hard digging holes and carrying soil, while the females and cubs curiously gathered around the piles of supplies.
A lively little rabbit crawled inside and pushed open a leather bag.
Suddenly, beads and seashells tumbled out of the box, making a clattering sound.
The cave was pitch black, yet it emitted a soft glow thanks to the scattered beads.
The little rabbit was stunned. Its eyes gleamed in the fluorescent light, and its long ears twitched as it dug even harder out of the hole.
Su Tang suddenly saw a light and turned her head.
There were beads scattered all over the ground, big and small, some as big as a fingernail, some as big as a fist, and some even as big as a head, like balls.
The scattered piles on the ground emitted a faint, multicolored glow, like a dream.
Su Tang was dumbfounded. Was this a luminous pearl?
Tu Momo picked up a fist-sized object, glanced at it twice, and then threw it back, looking completely uninterested.
The other female rabbits didn't seem to care much about these luminous pearls, as if they were used to them.
They actually prefer things that are practical and useful.
