Chapter 355 Accidentally Overdid It

Su Tang felt a cool sensation on her feet, as the rough toes brushed against the soles of her feet, making them itchy and a little sore.

"Don't move, there's sand inside. It will hurt if you don't clean it out."

She was about to pull her foot back when Hu Shen stopped her.

Su Tang had never had her feet washed by a grown man before, so her cheeks were flushed, and it felt like a hundred ants were crawling all over the soles of her feet, making her body wriggle involuntarily.

But Hu Shen's hand was like a giant pair of pliers, firmly gripping her ankle.

She had no choice but to endure it.

By the time Hu Shen finished washing, the water in the stone pit was murky, containing mud, sand, and blood.

Su Tang looked and saw that the blisters on the soles of her feet had been cleaned.

"Thank you, thank you," she said, a little embarrassed.

He hasn't even had time to clean his serious injuries, yet he's making such a fuss over his own minor injury.

Su Tang thought for a moment, then took out a dagger and made a cut on the hem of her skirt.

A piece of cotton cloth that was still relatively intact was torn off.

She wanted to clean Hu Shen's wounds, and luckily there was water here.

To everyone's surprise, Hu Shen said, "It's not safe outside, let's go back first."

Before Su Tang could speak, Hu Shen picked her up, tossed her upwards, transformed into his beast form, and caught her steadily.

He picked up a coconut from the ground and hung it on his back with the same precision.

Su Tang was completely bewildered. Why didn't he say that it wasn't safe outside when he was washing her feet?

She sensed that Hu Shen was acting strangely today, and wondered if it was because they were stranded on the island; he seemed unhappy.

Su Tang sensed the oppressive atmosphere surrounding Hu Shen and remained silent.

I sat obediently on the tiger's back the whole way.

Back in the cave.

A small flame was still flickering in the fire. Hu Shen put Su Tang down and turned to add more wood to the fire.

The fire quickly grew larger.

"Hu Shen, your wound is bleeding!"

Su Tang suddenly noticed a trickle of blood seeping from Hu Shen's back, and her heart tightened.

He must have gone out to find water and aggravated the wound!

A finger-sized crack appeared on the scab of the wound, making it look like a blood centipede crawling on his back.

Such a big wound must hurt terribly.

After a moment's thought, Su Tang took out catnip from the farm, disguised it with her handbag, and took it out of the bag.

"These are some herbs I found outside yesterday. They can relieve pain. I'll use them on you."

Without saying a word, Su Tang grabbed Hu Shen and crushed the catnip with a wooden stick and a coconut bowl.

Fortunately, after being overwhelmed by catnip a few times, she developed a little resistance to it and her reaction is not as strong now.

After washing the freshly torn cotton cloth, Su Tang carefully moistened it with water and used it to clean Hu Shen's wounds.

Hu Shen wanted to say he was fine, just a minor injury, but seeing Su Tang's worried expression, he obediently let her do as she pleased.

Su Tang cleaned the wound three times, removing blood, before finally cleaning Hu Shen's wound completely.

She applied catnip, used leaves as a barrier, and then cut a long piece of cloth from her body to tie up the largest wound on her back.

Su Tang's long skirt suddenly became so short that it reached her knees.

"Alright, you must not move your wound anymore; you need to rest."

"You have herbs, why don't you use them yourself?" Hu Shen frowned slightly.

“Me?” Su Tang glanced at the catnip and shook her head. “I’m fine, I don’t need herbs.”

She didn't want to hallucinate again in this desolate wilderness, and then do something to Hu Shen.

Perhaps it was because they ate some rare fungus, but their bodies were stronger. This time, when they tried catnip, neither of them had any adverse reactions.

Hu Shen wouldn't let her go out, so Su Tang wove a straw sandal and put leaves on it before she was allowed to go out and collect seafood.

She specially picked out a lot of oysters for Hu Shen.

That evening, Hu Shen looked at the oysters with a grim expression, and once again held his breath and forced himself to eat a whole bunch.

After dinner, Su Tang noticed that Hu Shen looked depressed and remained silent, so she assumed he was worried about not being able to return because he was stuck on the island.

She comforted him:

"Don't worry, once you're healed, we'll find a way back. There are so many trees here, we can build a wooden boat and definitely get back to shore."

Su Tang was also unsure.

However, she couldn't show it. Hu Shen was injured, and it would be bad if she were dejected.

If there is no hope, create hope.

“My injury has healed, and I can go cut down trees tomorrow,” Hu Shen said immediately.

He really didn't want to eat the contents of that shell anymore.

He will go hunting tomorrow.

Upon hearing this, Su Tang was even more convinced that Hu Shen was in a hurry to go back.

Night falls.

The two lay down to sleep fully clothed by the fire.

Two nights ago, Su Tang slept with Hu Shen in her arms while he was still unconscious. Now that he's awake, she's too embarrassed to take advantage of him again.

Su Tang had just fallen asleep when she suddenly felt a bit hot.

I tossed and turned, unable to fall asleep.

After glancing at Hu Shen, whose breathing was steady behind her, Su Tang got up and walked towards the nearby pile of firewood, intending to find a piece of wood to move the fire a little further away.

She guessed it was because she was too close to the fire and it was so hot.

As I walked up to the pile of firewood, I bent down and reached out to pick up some wood.

"Squeak squeak squeak!"

A dark shadow suddenly darted out from the pile of firewood!

Su Tang was startled and stepped back.

The dark figure suddenly bumped into her foot.

Tripped hard by that unknown thing, Su Tang immediately lost her balance and fell backward.

Oh no, my head is really going to explode this time!

She was inwardly groaning when, in the next second, her arms tightened, and she was pulled into a warm embrace.

A large hand was placed under her head, pressing her entire body to the ground.
