Hu Shen glanced back at her, his deep eyes gleaming with a dark light, tinged with a hint of resentment.
Seeing the confusion in Su Tang's eyes, his expression darkened.
A low-pitched reminder:
You said you'd make it up to me when you got back.
It sounds like she's even more aggrieved than Sibao.
Even if he doesn't get compensation now, he still wants to stay with Atang. They can't be partners and still live separately.
Moreover, he brought Daqing back, and now that he has a rival in love, he has to keep a close eye on Atang even more.
Upon hearing this, Su Tang suddenly realized what was going on.
Seeing Hu Shen like this, who inexplicably resembled a resentful young wife, she chuckled.
"Okay, then you need to get up. This tent is too small. We need to make it bigger so that the three of us can fit in."
Si Bao was almost squeezed out, and upon hearing this, she let out a pitiful sob.
Su Tang decided not to keep it a secret any longer. She would tell Su Jianyuan later, and then tell Lin Xia and her husband when she got home.
Her family is very open-minded; she knows that whatever decision she makes, they will definitely support her.
This confidence comes from Lin Xia and her husband, as well as Su Jianyuan and Su Shiwei.
She is not afraid of making the wrong choice, because no matter what, her family is her strong support.
Upon hearing this, Hu Shen's face seemed to melt like a glacier, and the corners of his mouth involuntarily turned up.
"I'll go get the tent."
He rushed out in a hurry.
Su Tang also brought Si Bao and cleared out the tent.
Su Jianyuan returned with a pot of meat soup and saw Hu Shen busy outside Su Tang's tent.
"Hu Shen, what are you doing?" he asked with a suspicious look.
Hu Shen stopped what he was doing, and instead looked at Su Tang beside him without answering.
The meaning is obvious.
He's waiting for Su Tang to give him a proper status.
Su Tang felt Hu Shen's urging gaze and explained earnestly:
“Brother, I’m with Hu Shen now, he’s your brother-in-law.”
"What?!"
Su Jianyuan didn't react for a moment.
Although he kept urging Su Tang, Su Jianyuan suddenly felt a little empty inside after his younger sister was actually kidnapped.
"What kind of reaction is this? Didn't you always say you wanted Hu Shen to be your brother-in-law?"
Su Tang pouted and pulled Hu Shen over.
Hu Shen immediately called out, "Brother."
Despite his cold face and attempts to project a friendly expression, the powerful aura he exuded still sent shivers down the spines of the surrounding orcs.
Upon hearing Hu Shen's address, Su Jianyuan's slight disappointment immediately vanished.
Even the mighty Beast King has to call himself "brother," he's really hit the jackpot!
He put the pot down, walked over with a cheerful smile, and patted Hu Shen on the shoulder in a pretentious manner.
"You little rascal, you'd better treat Tangtang well from now on. If you dare to bully her, I won't let you get away with it."
Su Tang remained silent. If things really got serious, it was hard to say who would let whom off the hook.
Su Jianyuan, however, was completely unaware of this.
Hu Shen nodded solemnly and assured him, "I will not let Atang be bullied, and I will not bully Atang."
Su Jianyuan was very satisfied with this attitude.
Su Tang saw him put on airs as the second brother, helping Hu Shen set up the tent while calmly lecturing him on the three obediences and four virtues of masculinity.
But Hu Shen listened intently.
"..." One dares to teach, and the other dares to learn.
Sibao, holding the pot handle in his mouth, dragged the pot of meat soup that Su Jianyuan had just brought to Su Tang, offering it as a gift.
Su Tang looked at Si Bao, her gaze softening.
She patted Sibao's head, brought him a bowl, and the mother and son sat down beside him, eating with relish, no longer interfering with the other two.
After eating and drinking to our hearts' content, the tent was packed up.
As darkness fell, the birdsong in the forest seemed to quiet down considerably.
The beastmen had eaten their fill and were ready to rest, as they would return to the Beast Mountain the next day.
Just as Su Tang was about to return to her tent, a sound suddenly came from not far away.
"Who! Who's there!"
An orc charged out.
Before long, they brought back a slender orc.
"Let go, let me go..."
Su Tang stopped in her tracks upon hearing the sound and quickly turned around.
"Tang, we caught a female. She was acting suspiciously near our camp, we don't know what she's up to."
As soon as they arrived, the orc who had captured the female complained.
"I didn't." Ying Liuer was a little embarrassed.
But remembering that he had indeed come with Su Tang, his expression became a little unnatural, and he didn't continue arguing.
"Why are you here?" Su Tang blinked, making sure she wasn't mistaken, and then said to the orc, "I know her. She's the one who helped us in the Azure Eagle Tribe. Please let her go; she means no harm."
The orc was taken aback, and quickly released Eagle Willow to apologize:
"I didn't know, I'm sorry, you were acting suspiciously and I thought you were up to something bad!"
Ying Liu'er was no longer angry after hearing the apology. She waved her hand, touched the scratches on her body, and inhaled.
Su Tang helped Ying Liuer up and then let the orc go to rest.
Hu Shen and Su Jianyuan followed after hearing the commotion.
"Sister, who is she?" Su Jianyuan asked Ying Liuer in confusion.
“She is Yingliu’er, whom I mentioned today. She is a relative of Daqing,” Su Tang explained, then said to Yingliu’er, “This is my partner and my brother.”
When Hu Shen heard Su Tang's introduction, his tail practically wagged in the air, but his face remained expressionless. He did, however, nod to Ying Liu'er.
This can also be considered as gratitude for her help to me and Atang in the Qingying Tribe.
Ying Liu'er naturally recognized Hu Shen; in the Qingying tribe, he could even fight a nine-headed bird.
