Chapter 420 You're also a human?

Thinking about the heavy snow that had fallen over the past month, Su Tang was somewhat shocked. Could it be that these people had been traveling around outside all winter?!

“These are all males, but we haven’t found the female yet. We’re looking for her,” Niu Li said, sounding somewhat puzzled.

"Two-legged creatures are slow and weak, so they should be easy to find. We don't know where the female two-legged creature went. We've searched the whole mountain but haven't found her."

Upon hearing this, Su Shiwei's eyes flickered almost imperceptibly as he looked at the two-legged creatures, seemingly realizing something.

However, everyone's attention was focused on the two-legged creatures, and no one noticed Su Shiwei's unusual behavior.

The room suddenly felt a bit crowded with so many people coming in.

Seeing this, Lin Xia hurriedly asked Su Jianyuan to close the gate. Seeing the human race on the ancient continent, she felt a sense of kinship. Looking at their tattered clothes, if it weren't for Hu Shen and the outsiders, she would have given them new clothes.

Not only Lin Xia, but also Su Tang and the others had complicated expressions.

Everyone felt as if they had traveled tens of thousands of years to meet their ancestor, even though they all knew that these humans in front of them had no relation to them whatsoever.

"Don't be afraid, we're not bad people, we won't hurt you." Lin Xia finally managed to say this after holding it in for a long time.

“Mother, I think they’re even more frightened by what you’re saying.” Su Jianyuan pulled Lin Xia back, glanced at one of the humans whose legs were trembling, and whispered a reminder.

The five humans had their heads pressed down by the orcs, and were being manipulated like dolls in their hands.

Lin Xia recalled how, when she first arrived in this world, she was so frightened by the sight of the orcs transforming into live wolves that she fainted.

That's true. Who wouldn't be afraid of a group of orcs? And they were all captured.

Seeing this, Su Tang turned to Niu Li and asked, "Did you find out why they were near Ten Thousand Beasts Mountain?"

She wanted to see humans, not to "recognize relatives," but to find out how humans were surviving on the ancient continent.

On Earth, humans are at the top of the food chain, so they must have fared quite well in the ancient continents. She just didn't expect these humans to look so miserable.

Niu Li shook his head. "Not yet. They were all unconscious when we caught them. I thought they were here to sabotage Baishi Lake, so I didn't wake them up. Who knew they would take the opportunity to escape?"

He brought the two-legged creature here as soon as he caught it, without even having time to interrogate it.

Seeing that Su Tang seemed very interested in the two-legged creatures, Hu Shen said indifferently, "Since you brought them, these two-legged creatures are yours to play with. You can do whatever you want with them, but don't let go of them, these two-legged creatures are very good at running away."

He spoke casually, but his eyes were fixed on Su Tang's reaction.

It was as if if Su Tang really liked two-legged creatures, they wouldn't see the sun rise tomorrow.

Su Tang didn't notice Hu Shen's expression. She nodded and said, "I just want to ask a few questions. If they weren't after Ten Thousand Beasts Mountain, could you let them go?"

She still hoped to establish friendly relations with the human race, as long as it did not endanger the Ten Thousand Beasts Mountain.

"I'll do whatever you say." Upon hearing that Su Tang didn't want to keep them around, the glacier in Hu Shen's eyes melted considerably.

They're just a few two-legged beasts; they can't cause any real harm to Ten Thousand Beasts Mountain. Killing or letting them go is just a matter of lifting a finger.

Su Tang approached one of the humans. Hu Shen glanced at him, and the orc immediately understood, releasing his grip on the human's head and instead grabbing his shoulder to prevent him from moving.

"What's your name? Can you tell me where you're from and how you got here?" Su Tang asked the human in front of her.

Not knowing their purpose, she dared not untie them rashly. After all, although humans were weak, they had ways of harming orcs if they really wanted to.

Before Lin Jiang could finish saying the words, "Kill me if you want! I will not reveal the information about the human race to you beastmen...", he froze.

His eyes widened in astonishment as he stared blankly at Su Tang, his voice abruptly cut off.

When he was captured by the beastmen, he considered countless possibilities: being devoured alive, having his tendons and skinned alive... He imagined the beastmen as ferocious, wicked, savage, and fierce, and he was even prepared to die.

Humans are weak and have always lived on the plains on the other side of the snow-capped mountains. If the beastmen knew their exact location, it could very well bring about their annihilation.

Although he escaped, he did not want humanity to be wiped out.

He never expected to see such a beautiful female in this fierce and savage beast tribe. Her skin was as white as snow, her long, smooth hair was draped behind her ears, and her delicate and gentle face exuded a noble air that made people afraid to approach her.

Wearing a long white dress, at first glance, she looked like a goddess descended from heaven.

"You...you're also human?" Lin Jiang asked blankly, the words he had just spoken with such resolve long forgotten.

Hu Shen frowned unhappily, stood silently next to Su Tang, and stared down at Lin Jiang.

What's wrong with these two-legged creatures? Ah Tang's eyes are practically popping out of their sockets as he stares at them.

Do you know this is someone else's partner?

Are all two-legged creatures so blind?

Suddenly, Lin Jiang felt a sharp gaze shooting down from above, and a chill ran down his spine for no apparent reason. He turned his head and saw another tall, male beastman standing next to Su Tang.

That look in his eyes made him realize that his terrifying premonitions before coming here were real.

He shrank back, instinctively feeling that if he looked around again, his eyes might be in danger.

Su Tang assumed that Hu Shen also wanted to know the answer and did not notice Hu Shen's micro-expression, and replied:

"I am not human, I am beastman."

The thought that she was a human soul but had to call herself a beastman made Su Tang feel inexplicably emotional.

Lin Jiang snapped out of his daze, glanced at Su Tang and the tall, burly beastmen inside the room, and wasn't surprised at all.

Yes, this female is tall, about the same height as me, and everyone here is a beastman. How could a human possibly survive here?

But... why does she seem even gentler than the women of their human race?

Aren't all orcs ferocious and bloodthirsty?

“We meant no harm.” Seeing that Lin Jiang remained silent, Su Tang continued to explain, “You were captured because you trespassed on our territory. If you can tell me the reason, I can decide to release you.”

These humans were dressed in tattered clothes; they didn't look like they were there to attack Ten Thousand Beasts Mountain at all, but rather like they were fleeing.

This made Su Tang even more curious about their origins.

The human tribes are so far away, what made them travel thousands of miles to get here?

"I...I am Lin Jiang. We are a human race from the western part of the continent. Can you really let us go?" Lin Jiang asked in disbelief.

Is he dreaming?

If someone is captured and taken to a beastman tribe, how can they possibly escape alive?
