Upon hearing this, Lin Shanyue looked at Su Shiwei with surprise and gratitude in her eyes.
She stayed behind as a hostage.
She naturally wanted to go back and see for herself, but worried that the beastmen would become suspicious of her and lose her trust, so she dared not speak up.
But if these words came from the mouth of a beastman, it would be a different story.
Su Tang also looked at Hu Shen.
“Okay, then you can come along.” Hu Shen nodded. He had already brought Ah Tang along, so it didn’t matter if there were one more or one less person.
Lin Shanyue was overjoyed, "Thank you!"
I am grateful to these beastmen, whom I had never met before, for giving me so much trust and help.
Seeing the orcs preparing to carry the young orc out, Lin Shanyue couldn't help but ask again:
"Excuse me... what about the humans who went to the human realm with you? Did they...?"
The words "murdered" felt like sand stuck in my throat, making it impossible to utter.
The young orc shook his head. "I don't know if they are alive or dead, but I heard that the humans are not kind to them. They don't even give them a drop of water. One of the older ones seems to be dying."
Lin Shanyue swayed, her face paling slightly.
It was her fault. If she hadn't let Lin Jiang and Uncle Shi go back, they wouldn't have suffered like this again.
She bit her tongue; the pain calmed her down.
Su Shiwei placed his hand on her shoulder and patted it gently twice, then said loudly, "Since we're going to the human race, we need to be fully prepared this time."
Su Tang looked at Su Shiwei and quickly understood what he meant.
Since humans have weapons, they can make them too!
We can't keep handing ourselves over to others and letting them take advantage of us.
"You can also make weapons like those of the human race?" Hu Shen asked in surprise.
“Of course.” Su Shiwei crossed her arms, then changed the subject, “It’s impossible to do.”
All the beasts: "..."
"Those things made by humans require finding suitable raw materials and spending time researching them. It's impossible to make them before going to the human race," Su Shiwei explained loudly.
Just as the beasts lowered their heads, he said again:
"But we can make other weapons. Although they are not as lethal as those of humans, as long as we are prepared and take precautions, dealing with humans will not be a problem."
Hearing his words, the beasts regained their confidence.
It's utterly shameful for them to be bullied like this by such a tiny human race.
But right now, they have to admit that the human race has that strength, and the human race's weapons are far too incredible.
In the orcs' understanding, these were things that only existed in dreams.
"Brother, what kind of weapon are you talking about? Is there time to make it before we go to the human race?" Su Tang asked.
They only have two days to prepare.
If they delay any longer, Niu Li and his men will suffer even more.
“It can be made.” Su Shiwei nodded. “However, we will need Shan Yue’s help with the materials.”
"Me?" Lin Shanyue looked bewildered.
...
Is this the place?
“That’s right, you all wait here. Shiwei, release the little thing I gave you.”
Lin Shanyue squatted behind a dry stone block, surveyed the surroundings, and spoke to Su Shiwei.
Without saying a word, Su Shiwei took out the small bottle she carried with her, opened the cap, and a bright red little scorpion immediately crawled out.
After spinning around in place a few times, the little red scorpion walked forward.
Behind him, an orc couldn't help but ask:
"Don't scorpions live in cold, damp places? This place is so dry, not a blade of grass grows here, how could there be scorpions?"
A hundred miles north of Mount Wanshou lies an endless, desolate desert.
At this very moment, Lin Shanyue was with the beastmen on the edge of this desert.
"You don't understand. Those scorpions don't have the venom of the scorpions here. A tiny bit of their venom can kill dozens of beastmen."
Lin Shanyue explained earnestly.
The human race and the Beast Mountain are located on the east and west sides of the continent, but to the north of both places are uninhabited deserts.
She has been interested in these poisons since she was a child and often collected them from various places, which is why she knows so much about them.
"Is it that powerful?!" The orcs who came to catch the scorpion were all shocked.
There was little prey in the desert, and it was far from the Beast Mountain. They had never been here before, and this was the first time they had heard that such a small scorpion could be so powerful.
These little things were things that the orcs used to never take seriously.
"Of course, don't underestimate these small insects. If used properly, they can be very powerful." Lin Shanyue said with a proud expression.
Seeing Lin Shanyue's focused expression, Su Shiwei's eyes revealed a smile.
The beasts' initial contempt for humans gradually turned into respect.
It must be admitted that humans are indeed quick-witted and very intelligent.
"Quick, it's here!"
Lin Shanyue suddenly lowered her voice and pointed directly in front of the little red scorpion.
On a raised sand mound, there was a small opening, and several yellowish-brown scorpions, slightly larger than the little red scorpion, were going in and out.
Upon seeing this, the beasts, carrying containers, were about to rush forward to grab it.
Lin Shanyue reminded him:
"Be careful, these golden scorpions are not only highly venomous, but they also run very fast. There are definitely many more in this nest, so be careful not to get stung..."
Several orcs had already stepped forward.
As soon as Lin Shanyue finished speaking, the orcs swiftly grabbed dozens of scattered golden scorpions, and those that tried to escape were all caught in their claws.
Seeing Lin Shanyue's surprised expression, the orc at the very end said with a hint of smugness:
