Chapter 47 Impersonating a Cub's Father

Da Qing looked at the orcs and sensed that they didn't seem very happy.

Even the half-grown cub looked at him as if he were an enemy.

But it doesn't matter, as long as he's very happy right now!

Daqing excitedly circled the thatched shed a few times, then returned to Sutang's side and asked excitedly:

"Is this where I'll live from now on? This pile of hay is where I'll sleep? Will I be sleeping here from now on?"

A series of questions, like firecrackers that had been lit, just wouldn't stop.

Su Tang felt that she was like a child going out for the first time, and everything seemed new and exciting to her.

Are all wandering orcs like him?

"This is where we sleep, not yours. Go find somewhere else to sleep," Lin Xia replied irritably.

He even wants to sleep with her daughter? That kid's dreaming!

She knew this guy had ulterior motives and was up to no good!

"Oh, that's fine too. I'll make a nest just like yours!" Daqing wasn't angry at all; she had even already figured out how she would sleep in the future.

Lin Xia's face darkened even more upon hearing this.

Su Guodong was terrified, thinking to himself that he must not take his anger out on him.

"What are you all standing there for? Get to work! Don't you have anything to do at home? You're all standing here like logs!"

Just as Su Guodong was thinking this, he heard Lin Xia's shrewish roar.

"Hey! Get to work, get to work right now..."

Su Guodong hunched his shoulders, just about to call his son over.

To everyone's surprise, when they turned around, Su Jianyuan and Su Guodong had already disappeared.

Su Guodong's face darkened. These two brats! They didn't even bother to call him before running away!

He'll definitely teach them a lesson when he gets back!

Xiao Fu also quickly stood behind the thatched shed, away from the battlefield, so as not to be accidentally injured.

He wondered why his mother's temper had become worse and fiercer after his father and the others fell off the cliff.

Never mind, I'll just try to avoid upsetting my mother in the future, that's the right thing to do.

"Daqing, we'll build the nest later. I'll take you to see the cubs first," Su Tang called out to the excited Daqing.

Da Qing paused, a strange look flashing in his emerald eyes.

What cub?

Why is the female bringing up the cubs again? If she's going to say it, why does she need him to go see them?

He glanced at Su Tang suspiciously, walked over to Xiao Fu, and slapped Xiao Fu on the shoulder.

"Little one, haven't you already seen that? What else is there to see?"

Xiao Fu's shoulders twitched, and he instantly put on a mask of pain.

How come this stray beastman is so strong? He's even stronger than Second Brother.

His shoulder felt like it was going to break.

Su Tang's eyes flickered, and she vaguely felt something flash through her mind, so fast that she couldn't catch it.

Lin Xia snorted coldly, "Your own cub, you think you can just look at it and then not look at it anymore? You don't act like a father at all."

She just couldn't stand Daqing no matter what.

Why is her daughter so unlucky? Not only did she transmigrate with a litter of cubs, but she also ended up with a scruffy, clueless male.

"Huh?" Da Qing was stunned. His cub? When did he have a cub?

A-Tang only agreed to be his partner, but before they could mate, she ran away.

Apart from A-Tang, he had not encountered any other females in the forest.

He hasn't even had a chance to become a real orc male yet!

Before he could speak, Lin Xia dragged out the cubs' nest.

Five tiny, milky-white babies were rolling over, their bellies up, sleeping soundly.

"If you want to stay in our house, you have to work. You'll have to take care of your own cubs from now on."

Lin Xia angrily threw a piece of animal skin that had been urinated on by the cubs into Da Qing's arms.

Daqing caught the urine-smelling animal hide with a bewildered look on his face.

What's going on?

He glanced at Su Tang and saw that she was also looking at him with an inquiring gaze, and suddenly realized what was going on.

He knows!

That female must have been knocked senseless by the fall!

No wonder he just heard the orcs at the Gray Wolf tribe say that she fell off a cliff; she must have damaged her brain, even forgetting who the father of her cubs was.

Could it be that she allowed me to live with them because she thought I was the father of these little ones?

If Ah Tang finds out he isn't, wouldn't she change her mind and send him back to the forest?

Thinking of this, alarm bells rang in Daqing's mind.

no!

He didn't want to go back to the forest; there wasn't a single orc in there. He was determined to stay here!

Seeing that he remained silent, Lin Xia said impatiently:

"What, you don't even recognize your own cub?"

Daqing snapped out of his daze and nodded hurriedly, "I recognize him! Of course I recognize him, he's my cub..."

He reached out and poked the cub's round little belly.

It's strangely soft...

Let's pretend to be their father for now!

Su Tang didn't miss the fleeting, unfamiliar look in Da Qing's eyes.

He clearly didn't recognize the cub.

Why? Since he said that Atang agreed to be his partner, then the wandering beastman that everyone is talking about should be Daqing.

Did Daqing not know that Atang was pregnant, and that the cub was born after Atang ran away from him?

Only in this way can it be explained.

But... why did he pretend to know him?

Su Tang felt that this was really strange, but if she confronted Da Qing, she wouldn't know what had happened back then, and if she was found out that she wasn't Atang, she would be in big trouble.

This big green dog may look like a simpleton, but it's actually quite clever; otherwise, it wouldn't have been able to react so quickly.
