Chapter Sixteen: Fruit for Gold Coins

Apple price: one gold coin.

Below that is the number zero, flanked by plus and minus signs, and followed by a gray "OK" button.

"Apples can be sold for gold coins?" Su Tang roughly understood what it meant; it was the same as in the game.

So, there must be a shopping mall inside the farm where you can buy things?

Thinking of this, Su Tang immediately became interested.

She added ten to the selling price and pressed confirm.

Soon, the words "sold successfully" flashed before her eyes. Su Tang turned her head and saw a small table at the warehouse entrance with a golden money bag on it.

Su Tang walked over with practiced ease, touched it, and saw several large golden characters displayed on it.

Gold coins: 10.

With the gold coins, the shopping mall next to the warehouse was also unlocked.

Su Tang remembered that there used to be a gray building next to the warehouse, which was impossible to see clearly, but now it has been transformed into a magnificent shopping mall.

It seems you really can buy things!

Su Tang entered the mall with high hopes, hoping to buy something useful. However, as soon as she entered, all she saw was a gray and gloomy scene, with only one item on the shelf closest to the door.

"Corn seeds: 100 gold coins".

Su Tang: I'm so poor, I can't afford it!

Without hesitation, she turned and walked out of the mall.

I plan to keep the remaining apple sugar for now and sell it when I need coins. Anyway, this farm is a game, so it shouldn't spoil if it's just stored in the warehouse.

After taking six apples and leaving the warehouse, Su Tang noticed that there were a few more large characters on the brown wooden sign in the farmland.

"Second plot of land: Unlocked with 50 gold coins."

It seems that everything in this farm requires gold coins, just like the old world, which is very realistic. No wonder it's a game made by capitalists.

Su Tang returned to reality and told Lin Xia about her new discovery on the farm.

Lin Xia was overjoyed to hear that she could sell fruit for gold coins to exchange for seeds.

"Great! Let's stock up on gold coins and exchange them for corn seeds so we won't have to keep eating apples anymore."

After saying that, she remembered something and hummed:

"Your dad would be happiest if he knew."

Su Guodong's most treasured possessions are all kinds of seeds.

Su Tang smiled, then suddenly looked at Apple with suspicion and tugged at Lin Xia's hand.

"Mom, have you noticed something?"

"What's up?"

"After eating this apple, I feel quite full. It can keep me full for half a day without eating anything else," Su Tang said, puzzled.

If it were regular fruit, I'd probably be starving by now.

What's more, they had already eaten two meals of apples and worked for so long, yet they didn't feel very hungry.

And their injuries, which were very painful yesterday, don't hurt much today.

He fell off a cliff, so this recovery is a bit too fast!

Hearing Su Tang say that, Lin Xia also realized what was going on.

"It seems to be true! Could it be that the fruits grown on this farm have other benefits?" Lin Xia said with a look of surprise.

"Anyway, it's good stuff."

Su Tang can't come to a conclusion on this question in a short time, but in short, eating it will only bring benefits and no harm.

It seems she can't just give things from the farm to other beastmen anymore; if they notice anything unusual, it could cause trouble.

"Okay, let's continue planting this afternoon. I'll go call your dad and your older brother back for something to eat. They've been busy all morning, let them rest a bit." Lin Xia beamed, feeling full of hope for the future, and excitedly went to tell Su Guodong the good news.

Su Tang nodded, watching Lin Xia leave quickly.

She knew that her mother was just complaining, but actually supported her father's career and hobbies.

The three of them returned shortly afterward.

Su Guodong and Su Shiwei were covered in sweat, their clothes caked with weeds and sawdust.

The first thing the two did upon returning was to gulp down several mouthfuls of the cooled boiled water that Lin Xia had prepared that morning, quickly emptying the large bowl made of leaves.

One person drank two large bowls, each the size of a water ladle, before he was finally quenched his thirst.

"Mom, Second Brother and Xiao Fu haven't come back yet. Should we wait for them?" Su Tang asked after washing the apples and seeing that the two hadn't returned.

"Let's not wait any longer, let's save it for them. We'll eat first, then rest. Your dad and your older brother have work to do this afternoon," Lin Xia said after thinking for a moment.

Su Jianyuan has the ability to defend himself, so she is not worried about anything happening to him. If he fails to catch any prey, he will naturally come back. With Xiao Fu around, he will not get lost.

Hearing Lin Xia say that, Su Tang didn't insist. She shared the apples and sat down. The family of four ate the apples while chatting about what they had learned that morning.

Su Guodong and Su Shiwei had cleared a plot of land in the morning, and they could start cutting down trees and collecting materials to build a wooden house in the afternoon.

Upon learning that there were new seeds, Su Guodong was thrilled, and all his fatigue vanished instantly.

They even skipped lunch break, and after eating, they dragged Su Shiwei to cut down trees.

He's just waiting for the wooden house to be built soon so he can move in and have time to plant these high-quality seeds.

On the other side.

In the forest.

Xiao Fu looked at Su Jianyuan, who was squatting on the ground fiddling with some stones and weeds, and took two steps back while holding her forehead.

How could he believe that his second brother had come to hunt?

"Second Brother, why don't we go back?"

Su Jianyuan was not used to walking in his beast form, and he had already wasted a lot of time getting to the hunting forest.

Xiao Fu thought his second brother would give up halfway, but he didn't expect him to persevere and come all the way here. He almost started to look at his second brother in a different light.
