Chapter Thirteen: The Severely Wounded King

“Yeah, what else?” Su Jianyuan turned to look at Xiao Fu with a puzzled expression.

This little wolf cub doesn't seem very bright.

If he doesn't walk there, can he fly there?

"What I mean is, why don't you use your beast form?" Xiao Fu asked suspiciously. Had his second brother lost his mind after the fall and forgotten how to transform into a beast form?

This is an orc's instinct.

Su Jianyuan's face stiffened, and he scratched his head awkwardly, "Brother, I was just thinking about the hunt, I didn't think of that."

Xiao Fu thought about it and realized that his second brother had never hunted before, so it was normal for him to make such a mistake.

It would be strange if he became as powerful as Brother Wolf Kuia!

“Beast form is faster. There’s still a long way to the hunting forest from here, so let’s go in beast form.”

As Xiao Fu spoke, she took off her animal skin skirt and transformed into a snow-white wolf cub.

It is less than a meter long, with a slender build, and its fangs and claws are not very prominent. Its fluffy tail stands upright, and its body is completely devoid of any other colors. It doesn't look intimidating at all, but rather has a cute and endearing contrast.

This was the second time Su Jianyuan had witnessed a wolf transform into a living creature.

He subconsciously tensed his body; this was his first reaction after years of training.

After all, if such a situation had occurred in the past, it would have been a life-or-death struggle between humans and beasts.

Su Jianyuan's breath hitched for a few seconds before he realized that the little white wolf in front of him was his little brother, and he quickly loosened his fist that he had subconsciously clenched.

I almost lost control and started hitting him...

Seeing Su Jianyuan standing still, Xiao Fu opened and closed its wolf mouth, uttering human language:

"Second brother, why haven't you transformed into your beast form yet? Hunting should be done early, or it will be too late to come back."

Su Jianyuan: Regarding my younger brother being a werewolf and asking me to turn into a beast.

"I……"

"Second Brother, you haven't really forgotten how to transform into a beast, have you?" Xiao Fu frowned.

"Yes, I forgot. Why don't you tell me how to transform into beast form? Maybe I'll remember after you hear it." Su Jianyuan readily admitted.

I'm not pretending anymore, I'm laying my cards on the table!

"All right."

Xiao Fu sighed; he was the only reliable person left in the family now.

It's so hard for him.

"Second Brother, your beast form is a leopard. First, visualize your beast form in your mind and feel its power..."

Little Fuzai carefully explained the key points, then varied them and demonstrated them several times.

Su Jianyuan held his breath and focused intently.

Ten minutes later.

"Second brother, you want to transform into a beast, not suffocate yourself."

Xiao Fu looked at Su Jianyuan, whose face was flushed from holding his breath, and couldn't help but remind him.

Su Jianyuan opened his eyes and took a deep breath.

Damn, this is too difficult.

He's a human, not a leopard, so how can he feel the power of a leopard?

"I think we should just give up. Even if we go, we won't catch any prey..." Seeing this, Xiao Fu had given up all hope and dejectedly prepared to walk back.

I thought I was going to my death.

I never imagined that even dying wouldn't be an option.

Just as Su Jianyuan was about to give up transforming into beast form, he suddenly felt his body change. His gaze suddenly lowered, his upper body crouched down, and his hands and feet transformed into the four limbs of a leopard. His broad, powerful paws stomped firmly on the layers of leaves, instantly sinking in.

"Holy crap! I did it!"

Su Jianyuan couldn't help himself and blurted out a phrase from the national essence.

When Xiao Fu heard the sound, he turned around and saw that his second brother had turned into a leopard.

Its robust body was several times larger than its size, and its fangs and claws were exceptionally sharp, gleaming coldly in the sunlight.

The mighty leopard raised its paws, head held high, chest out, and strode proudly.

Xiao Fu paused, then looked on with envy.

When will I grow up to be that tall and strong...?

The next second.

"Thump!"

The leopard, not yet accustomed to walking in its animal form, stepped on its own paw and fell headfirst to the ground.

Xiao Fu: "..."

He retracted his previous thought.

...

at the same time.

Another corner of the forest.

An eagle soared through the forest, its two long, slender black talons gripping two large apples tightly. Moments later, it landed in front of a hidden stone cave.

"My lord, I've brought back food!"

As soon as the eagle landed, it transformed into human form, grabbed a piece of animal skin from beside the cave and neatly wrapped it around its waist. Holding a large apple in one hand, it hurriedly walked into the cave entrance.

The entrance to the cave was covered by a thick layer of branches. As soon as the words were spoken, a rustling sound came from inside, and someone took the branches out from there.

Another male emerged, with two curved black horns on his head. Seeing the eagle return, he frowned and urged:

"Why is it so slow!"

The male's expression darkened further when he saw that there were only two fruits in his arms.

"The king is seriously injured and needs prey to replenish his strength and recover faster. Why did you only bring back two fruits? How can the king eat these!"

“Didn’t you tell me to hurry up?” The eagle glared at him. “Do you think catching prey here is easy? The king can’t wait that long.”

“But we can’t let the king eat useless fruit…” The horned beastman frowned, his face grim.

"Eagle Swiftness, Bull Strength..."

As the two beasts were arguing, a deep voice came from inside the cave.

The argument stopped abruptly.

"Your Majesty! You're awake!"

Yingjie and Niuli were overjoyed. They glared at each other with mutual dislike, and then quickly entered the cave at the same time.

Inside the dim, dry stone cave, a tall, handsome male lay leaning against the stone wall. He had three deep, bone-revealing wounds on his shoulder, chest, and waist, all dripping with blood, which made his handsome face deathly pale.
