Back at the hut, Su Tang saw the five cubs sleeping soundly in their nest, and couldn't help but think of what Su Jianyuan had just said.
This wandering orc allowed Ah Tang to bring her cub back, which means either something happened to him or he simply doesn't care about her and her cub.
That wandering orc will never appear again.
Su Tang didn't take it to heart; nothing like that would ever happen, so why should she worry about it?
After Lin Xia returned to the thatched hut, the mother and daughter went to the grove to use the toilet, and Su Tang fell asleep peacefully.
The next day.
Su Tang got up early and, while Lin Xia was preparing breakfast, she took out half of the wild eggs from yesterday and made them into steamed eggs.
The rack I made yesterday worked very well; the meat and pheasant weren't stolen by wild animals.
For breakfast, I stewed two deer legs with corn, and also boiled a few ears of corn separately, intending to leave them for Su Jianyuan and Xiao Fu to take out, since they wouldn't be back for lunch and would eat out.
Orcs don't eat every day because they can't always catch prey. They usually have a big meal when they catch prey, but they go hungry if they don't.
The Su family was used to three meals a day. Although they were now in the bodies of beastmen, they always felt something was missing if they didn't eat something at mealtimes, so they simply continued with their old habits.
When Xiao Fu got up and saw that Lin Xia had cooked meat again, his eyes almost popped out of their sockets.
Didn't we just have a big meal of meat last night? Why does Mother want to eat meat again?
He had been eating fruit before, and thought there was plenty more in the forest, so he hadn't paid much attention. But this was meat! What kind of orc can eat meat every day!

I don't know why, but after my brother and the others fell, they started calling fruit and meat "rice," and they would shout "rice" every time they ate.
Never mind, if there's food, I'll eat it. As long as I eat, that's all that matters!
Both of them had their own thoughts on their minds.
After feeding the cubs, Su Tang came out to eat and noticed that Xiao Fu and Su Jianyuan were eating with unusual gusto, which puzzled her.
What's wrong with these two? Why are they acting like they've been injected with chicken energy first thing in the morning?
After breakfast, Su Jianyuan prepared to go hunting.
Before he could leave, Lin Xia grabbed him.
"Wait a minute, Tangtang wants to raise pheasants. Make a chicken coop before you go out."
Su Jianyuan looked worried. "Mother, my eldest brother is good at this. Let him do it. I have important things to do. If we don't hunt, what will we eat?"
Lin Xia remained unmoved, saying, "Your older brother has more important things to do and doesn't have time."
Su Jianyuan complained bitterly, but he could only finish building the chicken coop as his mother requested before setting off.
Since there is only one pheasant, the coop doesn't need to be too big. Just make a fence out of wood and enclose an open space of about ten square meters.
Xiao Fu helped pass the wood from the side, looking puzzled:
"Why keep it as a pet? Wouldn't it be better to just eat it? These wild animals can fly away."
In the eyes of orcs, prey is meant to be eaten.
The idea of keeping someone as a pet is simply nonexistent.
"If you pick up its wings, it won't fly away. If you keep it, it can lay eggs for its young to eat." Su Tang was very patient today, answering Xiao Fu's questions one by one.
"But sister, how can it lay eggs if there's only one?" Xiao Fu still looked confused.
Orcs need to mate to have offspring, and so do wild animals.
“Uh…” Su Tang paused for a moment, “A hen can lay eggs by itself, but these eggs cannot hatch into chicks.”
"Can eggs be laid without mating?" Xiao Fu asked in astonishment, as if she had just discovered a new world.
Su Tang nodded, "Yes."
"Why? Can the older sister have offspring without mating?"
Xiao Fu was like a curious child, constantly asking questions.
Su Tang suddenly regretted it; she shouldn't have paid any attention to this little wolf cub.
Is it appropriate for a little cub like him to ask about mating?
"There's no why, you'll understand when you grow up," Su Tang replied with a dark face, then put the pheasant in the prepared chicken coop and turned to leave.
Why do we have to grow up to know this? Can't we know it now?
Xiao Fu wanted to keep following him around and asking more questions.
How come he never noticed before? My sister knows so much!
However, before they had gone far, Su Jianyuan grabbed them by the collar and dragged them off to go hunting.
“Daughter, I think this boy is quite easy to tame. He’s become so close to you in just a few days…” Su Guodong appeared behind Su Tang at some point, watching Xiao Fu and Su Jianyuan leave with a gratified expression.
Su Tang's lips twitched; it was overripe.
She'd rather be unfamiliar with them than discuss mating with a little cub.
After seeing the two off, Su Tang and Lin Xia finally got to what they had been looking forward to the most—building a toilet.
Since the wooden cabin was about 100 meters away from the thatched hut, and the toilet couldn't be moved in the future, the group decided to build the toilet next to the wooden cabin for convenience.
It's only a hundred meters, so going back and forth isn't a hassle.
In order to build the toilet as soon as possible, Su Tang and Lin Xia went to help, leaving no one at home to take care of the cub.
After much deliberation, Su Tang decided to bring the cubs along as well.
