The females were all over the place, constantly trying to sell their milk, a stark contrast to the females who had coldly rejected Su Tang earlier.
Listening to them constantly slandering Wolf Nini in order to get the fruit, Su Tang couldn't help but frown.
Just as she was about to refuse again, she suddenly looked up and saw the wolf Nini not far behind the female.
Wolf Nini seemed to have heard their words. She met Su Tang's gaze, but immediately looked away in self-consciousness.
Before Su Tang could speak, he hurriedly turned and left.
Su Tang's face turned completely cold. She pushed aside the female blocking her way and said coldly:
“I told you, I only exchange milk with Wolf Nini.”
After saying that, she gave Su Guodong a wink, and the two of them chased after the direction Lang Nini had gone.
They left a group of females staring longingly at the backs of the two men.
The females were filled with regret.
If they had known this would happen, they should have switched breast milk with Su Tang that day.
But it's too late to regret it now. All I can do is silently envy Lang Nini for being so lucky to be able to curry favor with Su Tang.
"Wolf Nini!"
When Su Tang caught up with Lang Nini, she had already run back to the cave.
Upon hearing Su Tang's voice, Lang Nini stopped and turned around in disbelief.
"A-Tang, what are you doing here...?" Why did she come here? Shouldn't she be exchanging milk with those females?
"Why are you walking so fast? My father and I can't keep up with you." Su Tang said breathlessly as she stepped forward.
She ran all the way here, and it was unexpected that Lang Nini, who looked thin, was not slow at all when she ran.
But she was exhausted.
Su Tang didn't mention what had just happened. She walked up to Lang Nini, pretending not to see Lang Nini's slightly reddened eyes, and said gently:
"I haven't asked you to change my breast milk yet. I just went to Lang Kui's house, so I'm late. I hope I've kept you waiting."
She was delayed at Lang Kui's house today, so she arrived a little later than usual.
Su Tang guessed that Lang Nini hadn't been able to wait for her, so she came out to see why she hadn't come, and just happened to witness the scene just now.
Seeing Su Tang's gentle smile, Lang Nini's eyes reddened even more.
"I... I still won't exchange milk with you. My health isn't good, and your cubs won't grow strong if they drink my milk. It would be better if you found a strong female to exchange milk with."
Wolf Nini lowered her head, avoiding Su Tang's sincere gaze, and said with a choked voice.
Although she wanted her cubs to become healthier after eating the fruit, she didn't want to affect Su Tang's cubs because of herself.
Su Tang is already getting a good deal by exchanging such good fruit for breast milk.
She couldn't put Su Tang in a difficult position.
Hearing her words, Su Tang couldn't help but chuckle.
“Breast milk will not make my baby unhealthy. My baby is already used to drinking your milk. Switching back and forth is not good for the baby.”
"Besides, we've already made an agreement. Are you trying to go back on your word? My cubs will go hungry then..."
Seeing Lang Nini's red eyes, Su Guodong felt a pang of pity. This girl looked about the same age as his daughter. In today's society, she would still be carefree, but here she was already having children.
But as a grown man, he couldn't very well offer comfort about the issue of whether or not he had breast milk.
So you can only blame the roundabout way of saying it:
"We went to their door and begged them to change it before, but they wouldn't. Now it's their turn to regret it. That's what they call 'what goes around comes around.' We're not going to let them get away with this so easily, Tangtang, don't you think?"
“Father is right. They rejected us first. I hold grudges.” Su Tang continued.
After spending two days together, she realized that Wolf Nini was a gentle and kind female.
She always says the right thing to the right person.
Hearing Su Tang say that, Lang Nini was even more moved.
"Ah Tang, thank you so much, I..."
She knew Su Tang was trying to comfort her, and opened her mouth to say thank you, but Su Tang interrupted her.
"I should be thanking you. If you hadn't been willing to switch breast milk with me first, my baby would probably have starved to death."
Su Tang wasn't exaggerating.
When she first transmigrated, all five cubs were listless and lacked any energy. They were only saved by the milk from Wolf Nini.
Seeing this, Lang Nini stopped being coy and kept Su Tang's kindness in mind.
"Then if you ever need my help in the future, just let me know," Wolf Nini said sincerely.
Su Tang thought about it and realized she did have something she wanted to ask Lang Nini.
“I’m looking for a type of soil; I don’t know if you’ve ever seen it before,” Su Tang asked.
"What kind of soil? Tell me." Wolf Nini looked curious. Other females were looking for food, why was she looking for soil? Could soil be eaten?
"The color is yellowish-brown, grayish-white, or reddish-purple..."
Su Tang briefly explained the characteristics of clay that can be used to make pottery to Lang Nini.
Wolf Nini was completely confused, but managed to remember a few key features.
"A-Tang, what do those colors you mentioned look like?" Wolf Nini asked, somewhat confused.
She seemed to understand, yet she also seemed not to understand.
Seeing Lang Nini's blank expression, Su Tang and Su Guodong exchanged a glance.
Ahem! I forgot, this is an ancient continent. Orcs can't distinguish so many colors; they can only roughly distinguish red, yellow, blue, and green.
The rest would really be difficult for the orcs.
Su Tang pondered for a moment, looked around, and pointed out several plants of similar color to Lang Nini.
Wolf Nini then roughly understood and suddenly realized:
"So this is the color. I think I've seen it outside the tribe before. Let me think..."
