Chapter 437 Long-term Parroting

Su Tang's gaze shifted to the five children, and her eyelids twitched involuntarily. "Did you bring her back?"

Orcs don't usually come to the place where she and Hu Shen live. This little girl is so young, it's impossible for her to have come here on her own.

It could only have been brought back by these five little rascals!

Seeing someone return, she instinctively moved closer to Da Bao, her little hands grabbing the tiger's fur, as if trying to hide herself behind it.

Su Tang understood immediately after reading this.

This little girl was brought back by Da Bao.

I never expected that before my baby was even a month old, I would bring the girl home!

Su Tang rubbed her forehead, let out a helpless sigh, knelt down in front of the little girl, and asked in a gentle tone:

"Little girl, whose family are you? Where do you live? Shall I take you home?"

The four- or five-year-old girl had chubby, baby-faced skin that was fair and tender, making her look completely different from the other dark-skinned cubs of Ten Thousand Beasts Mountain.

The animal hides on their bodies were all new and clean.

Its pair of dark, beast-like eyes were clear and innocent, making it look like an angel doll fallen to earth at first glance.

It's obvious at a glance that her parents raised her very well; she'll definitely be stunningly beautiful when she grows up.

The little girl glanced at Hu Shen, who stood to the side with a cold expression, a hint of fear showing in her bewildered eyes. She bit her lip and remained silent, only timidly moving further behind Da Bao.

It's as if this will allow them to hide themselves away.

Following the little girl's gaze, Su Tang saw Hu Shen standing to the side.

That cold, expressionless face would send chills down the spine of even an adult orc, let alone a cub.

She gave Hu Shen a look, signaling him to stand back.

Turning back to the little girl, he continued:

"Little girl, don't be afraid. We're not bad people. He's your Beast King. Tell me where you live, and I'll take you home, okay?"

The little girl stared intently at Su Tang, no longer avoiding her gaze, but remained silent.

Su Tang thought she didn't know how to answer, so she thought for a moment and asked again:

Do you know what your father and mother's names are?

The little girl tilted her head, then suddenly turned around and hugged Da Bao's leg, burying her head in the tiger's fur.

Da Bao was startled. He wanted to get her down, but he didn't dare to use force. He could only turn his head and look to Su Tang for help.

Looking at the two people with opposite age and height differences, Su Tang thought that Da Bao had an extra accessory hanging on his leg.

Seeing Su Tang's distressed expression, Hu Shen said, "I'll have Hu Ming take her down to find her parents."

“Wait a minute.” Su Tang suddenly shook her head. “Don’t you think she’s acting a little strange…”

She thought about the way the little girl had looked at her earlier; that blank look didn't seem like simple fear, but rather like she had an intellectual disability.

The orc cub is precocious. At four or five years old, having grown up in the Beast Mountain, it should be very familiar with the mountain. Even if it gets separated from its parents, it should be able to find its way home on its own.

Upon hearing this, Hu Shen glanced at the little girl again and nodded seriously.

"That's strange. She doesn't speak. Could she be mute?"

“If she’s mute, we won’t be able to get anything out of her. I’ll have Hu Ming come and take her away.”

As soon as Hu Shen finished speaking, the little girl suddenly turned around, puffed out her cheeks, looked at Hu Shen, and actually spoke.

"Jiujiu, remember your mother's words. You should follow the eldest tiger cub. Wherever it goes, you should go too."

The little girl looked serious, and her soft, childlike voice spoke in a way that didn't sound like it came from a cub.

Su Tang blinked, looking at her with some surprise.

The little girl didn't stop; her little mouth continued to chatter:

"It's the Beast King's cub, and who knows, it might become the Beast King of Ten Thousand Beasts Mountain someday. If you follow it, you'll be the Beast King's mate. Your mother has worked so hard to raise you, you must repay your mother well..."

After the little girl finished speaking, she shut her mouth and stood there blankly.

She would steal glances at Hu Shen every now and then, as if to say, she wasn't mute.

Su Tang understood immediately after hearing this.

Like a parrot mimicking speech, this little girl was just imitating her mother's voice.

While surprised, she was also somewhat shocked that this little girl, at such a young age, could memorize these words without missing a single one, and that she had learned them so well.

Su Tang squatted down and rubbed her head. The little girl just stared at her without blinking and didn't try to look away.

As if she knew that Su Tang wouldn't hurt her, and sensing that Su Tang was about to take her hand away, she squinted her eyes and rubbed her head against Su Tang's palm.

Seeing this animal-like reaction, Su Tang felt her heart melt.

She gently patted the little girl's shoulder, "Your name is Jiu Jiu. Your mother sent you back with Da Bao, right? Can you tell me who your mother is?"

After a long silence, he finally blinked.

Just when Su Tang thought she wouldn't answer, she heard her repeat herself again:

"Fox Beauty, you're so clever! But the king has five cubs. What if the eldest doesn't become the beast king? Otherwise, let's try harder and have a few more like Jiu Jiu, hehe..."

Hearing the two incredibly lifelike, yet slightly lewd laughs at the end, Su Tang and Hu Shen both turned pale.

They've set their sights on her son.

It seems that this female named Hu Li is Jiu Jiu's mother.

"I'll take her back." Hu Shen walked forward with a cold face, about to take Jiu Jiu away.

Gazing at the menacing Hu Shen for a long time, Su Tang's little hand gripped his finger, refusing to let go.

Su Tang gently touched her forehead reassuringly, "It's okay, I'll go back with you."

After saying that, he turned to look at Hu Shen.

"This little girl doesn't understand anything. Just warn Hu Li and her partner to make sure they don't do it again and don't hurt Jiu Jiu."

She was now certain that Jiu Jiu was different from ordinary cubs.

"Okay, I understand." Hu Shen nodded.

Su Tang led Jiu Jiu down the mountain, intending to take her back with Hu Shen.

Jiu Jiu was quite obedient, wiggling her short legs and following obediently beside Su Tang.

When Da Bao saw that his leg accessory was gone, he took two steps forward to follow, but he was afraid of being "tied up" again like before, so he watched helplessly as the man walked away without looking back.

When Yingliuer and Daqing returned from the foot of the mountain and saw Sutang, they went up to her in surprise.

"A-Tang, I heard your Da Bao found a little partner. That's amazing! He hasn't even taken human form yet, and he already knows how to find a partner."

Ying Liuer looked at Jiu Jiu, who was being held by Su Tang, and bent down to touch her face with a look of fascination.

"This little female is really pretty. I must say, Da Bao has great taste. She'll definitely be as pretty as you, Atang, when she grows up."

Upon hearing this, Su Tang frowned and asked, "Who told you that? Da Bao has no intention of finding a partner."

Ying Liu'er paused for a moment, then pointed down the mountain, "Just now a female fox clan member said something, I think her name was Hu Li. She said that Da Bao likes her female cubs and has taken them all home. They will be Da Bao's mates when they grow up."
