"Comrade Zhu Qing, Comrade Zhu Qing, are you home? There is a letter and a package for you!"
Zhu Qinghao heard a voice that sounded somewhat familiar. She had only taken two steps when she heard the letter and the package, and immediately recognized the person who had come.
So she immediately turned around, looked at the remaining dumplings in the pot, and finally just poured a bowl of boiling water, added some brown sugar, and carried it outside.
Once outside the gate, Zhu Qinghao saw the person outside the courtyard; it was indeed the postman.
She was a little confused, though, because she hadn't had time to send back Xiang Yu's letter yet, so why was a new one being sent?
"My comrade at home, thank you for making this trip again. Where did the letter come from? I haven't had a chance to reply to my last letter yet."
Upon hearing this, the postman glanced at the envelope in his hand, then replied cheerfully:
"Oh, it was sent by the XX Military Region!"
In an instant, Zhu Qinghao quickened her pace and rushed to his side, looking quite surprised.
"Military region? Is it really from the military region?"
As Zhu Qinghao spoke, she reached out to take the letter, and at the same time handed the bowl in her other hand to the postman.
"Here's hot water, please take it. And please put the package on the ground for me."
The postman was once again flattered to accept the bowl of water that Zhu Qinghao handed him, but he did not put the package on the ground; he still carried it in his other hand.
"Give me the package too. You can drink your water, it's a little hot."
As she spoke, Zhu Qinghao took the package from his hand.
He hadn't expected it to be so heavy, so he said goodbye, took the package and letter back inside, and then came back to get the water bowl.
Zhu Qinghao was so preoccupied with the envelopes and packages Sheng Yi had sent that she didn't notice the postman's hesitant expression. After taking the items, she quickly returned to her room.
Inside the house, Si Tian was also waiting with a gossipy look on her face.
"Who is it? Whose package and letter are these? Could it be your brother Sheng Yi?"
Zhu Qing glanced at her, and her face, which had been fine, turned red because of the mischievous expression on her face.
Si Tian instantly got the answer she wanted from her expression.
"Ah~ it seems that's right. It's still early, no need to rush to make lunch. I'll go home first. You can read the letter here slowly. I'll come back in half an hour."
After saying that, she didn't wait for Zhu Qinghao's response and happily ran out, thoughtfully closing the door behind her.
As soon as Si Tian stepped outside, she discovered that the postman was still standing at the door.
"Hey, mail carrier, why haven't you left yet? Is there anything else?"
The postman was taken aback by her question.
"Oh, right, I just heard from Comrade Zhu Qinghao that she hasn't mailed the letter she wanted to give to her friend yet. I was wondering if she wanted me to help her deliver it..."
Just then, Zhu Qinghao opened the door and came out. She was pleasantly surprised to see the postman still standing there.
"Oh, comrade, thank goodness you haven't left yet. This is a letter and package I need to send back to my friend. We haven't been to the city much lately, could you please take it back for me?"
The postman agreed readily without the slightest hesitation.
"Of course! Give me your things, and I promise you, you won't lose a single one."
Zhu Qing smiled and walked over with what she was holding.
