Chapter 33 The True Face of a Fool (1/2)

At worst, she can choose a specific mountain to do this, and just avoid going there normally.

Having been given a second chance at life, she realized that nothing could be more important than the safety of her family.

As the group was chatting, they saw a young man walking over with a man and a woman who had been standing next to the newsstand, looking impatient.

She sighed softly to herself; it really was those two.

Si Tian also quietly tugged at her clothes and shook them, as if trying to remind her.

Zhu Qinghao gave her a look, ignored the two people, and continued chatting with the captain.

As soon as the three men arrived, the male educated youth who had spoken earlier immediately attacked the two of them:

"So, you two knew the captain was here, so you left on your own, deliberately not calling us, right?"

"You made Nana and me stand there in the cold wind for ages! Don't you have any consciences? You're harming your revolutionary comrades!"

Si Tian looked completely innocent and blinked her big eyes.

"Huh? But I don't know any of you, how would I know you're with us?"

"And it was you who insisted on driving Hao Hao and me away from that place; we had no choice but to come here."

"Comrade, we went to the newsstand to block the wind first, but you came over and said that your Nana was not feeling well, and asked us to give up our place to block the wind for her. You even said that we had to leave whether we wanted to or not, so we left."

Moreover, we couldn't find any other sheltered place for a while after we came out, so we came over here and happened to run into the captain. We didn't mean to not call you.”

"You're talking nonsense! You're doing this on purpose, you..."

After hearing the whole story, Wang Fulin stopped the male educated youth without hesitation.

"Alright, you're Shi Qiang and Zhu Pandi, right? Are you coming or not? It's freezing cold, how long do you want to stay out of the cold? We're thinking of you, though, since you don't want to go back and rest."

"A grown man, and you call yourself an intellectual, yet you spout filthy nonsense the moment you open your mouth to a woman. You're even worse than us farmers."

After saying that, he shook his head, making no attempt to hide the obvious disdain he felt for Shi Qiang.

The captain had already chatted with Zhu Qinghao and the other woman for quite a while and had a good impression of them. Moreover, he had accepted gifts from them, so it was normal for his heart to be slightly biased.

What's more, this young man came in and started yelling at the woman, labeling her like that. What kind of good person could he be?

After being mocked by the captain, Shi Qiang dared not utter another word, much less argue with the captain. He simply kept his mouth shut in defiance, glaring fiercely at Zhu Qinghao and Si Tian.

However, the two people, wrapped in thick headscarves, sat on the tractor, chatting amongst themselves, completely ignoring him.

Zhu Pandi hadn't uttered a sound since he arrived, and Shi Qiang had been the one charging into battle all along. Now that he saw that Zhu Pandi wasn't getting any good results, he dared not provoke the captain.

However, as soon as she sat down, she saw the blankets that Zhu Qinghao and Si Tian were using, and then looked at the cold car body on her side. She said to Shi Qiang with a pitiful expression that she was cold.

Shi Qiang is indeed an oddball; he never thinks of any other way and only knows how to stare at others.

So when Nana mentioned it, he turned his attention to Zhu Qinghao and the others, and immediately noticed the mats they were sitting on.

Seemingly having forgotten the unpleasantness from earlier, he naturally asked the two of them for a cushion.
