Thinking about what Wang Weiguo had told him when he came back, and then thinking about how Zhu Pandi looked that day, Wang Fulin simply couldn't equate the two of them with the word "delicate and weak" anymore.
Although he admitted that the two girls did look very delicate.
"Oh, don't worry about it. If you don't believe me, go check on them tomorrow morning and ask them what's going on. I guarantee they'll win. I bet you, okay?"
Tian Haiying immediately became interested upon hearing this, and sat up straight, asking with great interest:
"What are you betting on? Tell me quickly, what are you betting on?"
However, Wang Fulin didn't even bother to open his eyes, and slowly said:
"What, you're betting they won't win?"
"No, how could I bet on them not winning? I want them to win the most! Anyway, I don't like any of those other people, so of course I want my favorite girl to win!"
"Isn't that it? You want them to win, and I said they could win, so why bet? Go to sleep, you'll see for yourself tomorrow morning."
After saying that, he simply turned his body away, turned his face to the other side, and stopped paying attention to his wife, afraid that she would go on and on.
Before he fell asleep, he was still thinking that he hoped the two girls could really win, otherwise Tian Haiying would definitely make things difficult for him when she came back.
Tian Haiying was unaware of his thoughts, assuming he was truly certain that Zhu Qinghao and the others would win, so she felt much more at ease and lay down to prepare for sleep.
Meanwhile, Si Tian was in a good mood and wanted to invite Zhu Qinghao to her home for a nice meal, but she declined on the grounds that it was too late, since she had activities in the evening and it was not appropriate to stay too long.
Looking at the sky, Si Tian didn't insist any further, so they agreed to have lunch together the next day, and then went home separately.
When Zhu Qinghao returned home, the rice and dishes in the pot were still warm, so she ate a simple dinner by herself.
Just as they were about to go out again under the moonlight, they suddenly heard a commotion outside the courtyard, which sounded like a fight.
This discovery instantly alerted her. She quietly grabbed a fire poker and slowly walked toward the corner from which the commotion was coming.
The further she walked, the more familiar the voice sounded to her.
That abrupt and muffled cry of pain sounded so much like Chen Hui's.
After listening to the sound twice, it sounded more and more like the voice, so she quickened her pace, fearing that Chen Hui had come to retaliate against Si Tian for bullying her.
However, before she could get close, the people on the other side spotted her first.
"Okay? Why did you come out? Did I disturb you?"
Hearing Sheng Yi's voice, she felt inexplicably at ease.
"No, Sheng Yi, I just heard some noise outside. I thought it was a thief, it scared me."
Sheng Yi turned his head, smiled slightly, pulled the person lying on the ground over, and threw him into Zhu Qinghao's line of sight.
"There was a thief, but I caught him red-handed and gave him a good beating. I'll tie him up in a bit and take him to the police station tomorrow. Don't worry, go back to sleep."
Before Zhu Qinghao could say anything, she heard Chen Hui's hoarse and urgent voice:
"No, I'm not a thief, I'm not! I was just passing by! Don't arrest me! Don't arrest me! I'm not a thief! I don't want to see the police!"
