The scene changes.
The woman grabbed a tall, upright man and pointed at him while talking to a black fire turtle in front of them.
"Either choose me as your master or choose him. Anyway, my Dahua has taken a liking to you. You'll have to be her live-in son-in-law whether you want to or not."
The man helplessly raised his hand to his forehead, and said with a wry smile, "Let's not do things that force people to do the impossible."
The woman shrugged and said, "I'm not forcing anyone; it's not a person."
man:"……"
Then, the scene shifts again.
In a dark cave, a woman covered in blood knelt on the ground.
Blood dripped down her hair and the hem of her clothes, drop by drop.
On the ground in front of the woman lay two broken Xuanhuo Turtles.
And a blood-soaked, lifeless man.
Blood and tears streamed down the woman's face. Her blood-soaked hands held a large pile of glowing stones, and her fingertips trembled as she pieced them together one by one on the ground.
...
These scenes are all too realistic.
It's so real it's chilling.
When Rong Zi came to her senses, she felt as if her heart was being gripped tightly by a pair of large hands, the pain almost making it hard for her to breathe.
Seeing that the tortoise shell had slowly flown to the top of the Crimson Fire Spring, she clutched her chest and suddenly spoke.
"Wait a minute."
The turtle shell stopped moving.
Turning to Rong Zi, it asked, "Are you talking to me?"
Rong Zi took a deep breath and then nodded.
"There's something I want to ask you, if you can answer it."
She knew that the tortoise shell would be affected by the constraints of the Heavenly Dao in this celestial realm.
But what she wanted to ask wasn't about that woman.
Seeing that Rong Zi seemed a bit off, Gui Ke asked in confusion, "What's wrong?"
Rong Zi pointed to the patterns pieced together from glowing stones on the cave wall and asked, "Isn't one person missing from the patterns on this cave wall?"
She had clearly seen that there was a man in the pattern the woman had pieced together.
But now, there are only two Xuanhuo Turtles and a woman on the cave wall.
Why did that man disappear?
Seemingly surprised that Rong Zi would suddenly ask such a question, Gui Ke was somewhat taken aback.
After hesitating for a moment, it replied, "There is one person missing."
"Is he your master?" Rong Zi asked again.
Rong Xuan is the owner of the tortoise shell, and the person missing from these patterns must be him.
Sure enough, the tortoise shell replied, "That's right."
Why did his pattern disappear?
“Because…” the tortoise shell’s voice hesitated, but still replied, “It was erased.”
Was it erased?
Who is it?
Rong Zi frowned and continued to press, "Who erased it?"
This time, the tortoise shell did not answer her.
It's obvious.
It cannot answer this question.
Seeing this, Rong Zi knew that he wouldn't get any results from this matter, so he changed the subject and said, "If you can't answer, then forget it. I'll ask you one last question."
Tortoise Shell: "Go ahead and ask."
"Is Rong Xuan really still alive?"
Even Rong Zi herself didn't realize it.
How nervous was she when she asked that question?
For some reason, she had a gut feeling.
The man lying on the ground, covered in blood and lifeless, whom she had just seen in her mind was Rong Xuan.
But the turtle shell had clearly told her that before.
Rong Xuan is still alive...
Happy New Year, my darlings!
