Yan Qingqing looked at the girl sitting in front of her and listened as she told her about her experiences in the Northern Secret Realm.
She looked at the vividly expressive face before her, a gentle smile appearing on her exquisite features.
"So you really are her?"
A hint of joy appeared in her eyes, and she stretched out her two fair hands, her eyes filled with excitement as she looked at Sheng Ning.
Sheng Ning looked down at the cold little hand holding hers, and when she looked up again, the smile on her face was a little forced.
"Yes and no."
“You should know about Zhuzhao. It was it that told me that I perished in the ancient war, my body was destroyed, and my soul was torn apart.”
"I may be the reincarnation of your friend, but I have no memories of the past, and my cultivation level is not as good as before."
Sheng Ning's words were undoubtedly humble.
Her natural talent was exceptional, reaching a level that others could never achieve in their entire lives, yet in her words, it was merely mediocre.
Yan Qingqing was surprised. "The candle is still alive?"
But then she remembered something, and the surprise on her face faded. "However, it is different from spirit beasts and divine beasts. After she goes there, there is a good chance that it will survive."
At this moment, Zhuzhao was resting on Sheng Ning's shoulder.
Ever since Sheng Ning flattened it in the tomb, it has never returned to its original state.
Sheng Ning worried several times that it would be blown away by the wind, but it wasn't.
It remained firmly perched on her shoulder, never blown away.
While resting, Candlelight heard someone call its name and slowly raised its head, its voice still somewhat groggy.
Who is calling me?
Sheng Ning raised her hand and pinched it in her palm, shaking the little white ball awake with a flick of her wrist. "Look who this is."
The little white dumpling and Yan Qingqing both paused for a moment.
When the former saw Yan Qingqing, astonishment flashed in his dark eyes. 'She...she is...she is that person!'
Yan Qingqing frowned slightly, looking at Sheng Ning with uncertainty, "Young friend Sheng, are you speaking with Zhuzhao?"
From Yan Qingqing's perspective, all she could see was Sheng Ning holding a ball of air in her hand. She shook her wrist, and the words she spoke weren't directed at her.
Sheng Ning first looked up and nodded to Yan Qingqing, then lowered her eyes and said to the little white dumpling, "You know her."
Zhu Zhao had not seen an old acquaintance for a long time.
It was originally the only sacred beast in the world, Zhuzhao.
They are partners who advance and retreat together with the creator god.
It had met all of the Creator God's friends, but too many gods had perished in that great war, and most of them had even had their divine souls annihilated.
It never expected that Yan Qingqing was still alive.
The little white ball of fluff began to tremble involuntarily.
Sheng Ning could clearly hear the whimpering sound coming from its body.
Her fingers twitched slightly as she smiled. "Shouldn't you be happy to see an old acquaintance? Why are you crying?"
The little white ball of fluff was embarrassed and annoyed; its tiny white body instantly turned pink. "Can't I cry tears of joy? Why aren't you crying?!"
Sheng Ning pointed to herself, "Why am I crying? Madam Qi is alive and well. Wouldn't it be very impolite for me to cry?"
The little white dumpling, scolded for being rude, '...Why are you still as foul-mouthed as ever!'
Sheng Ning looked at its ruffled appearance and the corners of her lips curled up slightly.
Yan Qingqing never expected that Zhuzhao was right next to Sheng Ning.
She simply couldn't imagine the once mighty, sky-covering sacred beast, Zhuzhao, which, upon regaining its original form, could blot out the sun.
Now it has turned into a small white ball that, when flattened, is just the size of a palm.
Yan Qingqing's body still needs time to recover.
When she learned that Sheng Ning was going to return to the mainland first to discuss the search for a new totem with her master, she asked, "Who is my master?"
"My master is Mo Jingchun."
Recalling the moments she spent with her master, Sheng Ning couldn't help but smile.
She still owes Master a few roast geese. If she makes up for it all at once this time, won't Master suffer from indigestion again?
When Yan Qingqing heard the name Mo Jingchun, a dark glint flashed in her eyes.
She looked up at Sheng Ning, and as she gazed at his features, her worries slowly subsided. "If it is him, then I am relieved."
"It's getting late. If you don't mind the trouble, you can bring Yao'er along too."
“He came from my belly. He’s not particularly intelligent, but he’s kind-hearted and has some skills. If you encounter any difficulties, he can help you out.”
Seeing that Yan Qingqing wanted her to bring Qi Wenyao along, Sheng Ning blinked, puzzled, and asked, "But you just woke up, don't you need to spend more time getting to know him?"
The mother and son had not seen each other for a thousand years. When Yan Qingqing learned that there was a little life in her womb, she must have been looking forward to his arrival.
Unfortunately, war broke out later, and most of the gods perished. If it weren't for Master Qi, the mother and son probably wouldn't have survived.
Now that she has finally woken up, and Qi Wenyao has just returned from the secret realm, the mother and son haven't had a proper chat to build their relationship.
Yan Qingqing wanted her to take Qi Wenyao to the mainland...
Yan Qingqing was naturally reluctant to part with it.
"No matter how reluctant I am, my son, Yan Qingqing, has always aspired to travel far and wide. His father neglected Yao'er, which led to Yao'er developing his current personality."
"If my husband and I were to pass away in the future, how could he, with his childlike heart, possibly bear it?"
"But it's different when you're around. You've always had the attribute of 'encountering danger as soon as you go out,' which will definitely be a good training ground for Yao'er."
Whether she was being praised or criticized, Sheng Ning: ......
She chuckled and completely forgot about the question that had just been on the tip of her tongue.
