Chapter 21 Poor Ash

"He's the only one."

After returning to the hotel room from the small restaurant, Ash stood by the window, looking at the dark sky in the distance. He seemed to still see Yelena's expression of longing and admiration, as well as her decisive tone when she said this.

The only elf who survived after being transformed into a vampire.

Suddenly I understood how the two malicious titles "rebel" and "fallen elf" came about.

For the free and proud elves, it was right to walk into the sunlight and seek death after being transformed, and it did not violate their beliefs. And Scarlet Moon, the only one who survived, was probably a shame for his original tribe, right?

So they are the rebels who betrayed their faith and the fallen elves?

After hearing Yelena's highly praise, Ash couldn't feel the same admiration as Yelena. He kept thinking about the young man's dark red eyes, and wondering what it would be like if those eyes were the smoky gray color of a moonlight elf.

It might be a bit presumptuous to say this, but when he heard what Yelena said, his heart suddenly tightened, and the first emotion that came to his mind was heartache.

Ash stared at his face reflected in the glass window and blew gently. Then white mist blurred the glass and his lost eyes: "Such a powerful person..." How much suffering and hardship did he go through before becoming so powerful?

Living against one's beliefs and instincts, does it make every day particularly hard?

Definitely.

If it weren't painful, the elves that had been transformed in the past would not have unanimously chosen to die.

"I wish I could see him again..." Ash muttered, his fingers unconsciously running across the glass window, writing the name "Scarlet Moon".

It was the first time for him to leave the village and step into a strange land. He also heard about the various deeds of Scarlet Moon. Now all kinds of thoughts were swirling in his mind, so he had no sleep at all. So he rarely went to bed on time, and just stood by the window, thinking about Scarlet Moon and everyone in Duogu Village... If everyone found out that he had quietly left, would they be angry or sad?

In the next room, Yelena was lying on the bed, also staring at the ceiling with her eyes open, completely unable to sleep.

She was mostly guilty and anxious.

When she did the bad thing, she didn't think about anything and just did it in one go. Now that it was late at night and everyone was asleep, her passion had faded, her rationality had taken over again, and she suddenly became timid.

How...how should I get back? How should I threaten Sigourney with Ash? What should I say when the time comes?

My brother will kill himself, right?

I feel flustered! I feel confused! I can't sleep no matter how hard I try!

Just when Yelena was about to lift the quilt in annoyance, soothing and beautiful music came from across the wall. The notes were like cold moonlight and clear spring water, silently soaking into the heart, bringing with them a hint of sadness and a hint of hope, making people unconsciously calm down and unconsciously raise the corners of their lips slightly.

So gentle...

Yelena closed her eyes, listened carefully to the delicate yet strong melody, and gradually, gradually, she fell asleep.

"Were you playing the harmonica last night?"

The next morning, when Yelena saw Ash, the first thing she asked excitedly was this.

Ash nodded shyly: "Did I disturb you? Sorry, I couldn't sleep last night..."

"No, no, no." Yelena winked at him teasingly, "You're a great blowjob guy! The girls at the wizard academy will be obsessed with you!"

Ash: "...Huh?"

Yelena moved closer to him and looked at his face carefully: "Hey, why didn't I notice it before? Ash, you are quite good-looking." The face in front of her was still a little immature, but in her eyes, when the immaturity faded away and the boy's features became more distinct, it would be a particularly good-looking face, gentle and handsome, totally her type!

"You will definitely grow up to be a good man!" She suddenly had an idea, "If you want to fall in love in the future, would you consider me?"

Ash smiled sheepishly: "But I think I have someone I like."

"Secretly in love?" Yelena raised her eyebrows in understanding. "If you are a man, you should be brave enough to pursue her. Why play the game of secret love? If you don't act quickly and take action early, one day she will be pursued by someone else, and you will cry bitterly watching their sweet backs."

Ash nodded in understanding, "Yeah."

"If you need any help, feel free to come to me. I'm pretty good at assisting!"

"Ah...thank you?"

"Ha, you're welcome!"

The two of them went to the restaurant next door for breakfast again and talked about their next plans.

"I thought about it. Ash, you just came out and you are still unfamiliar with Iluf, right?" Yelena sat upright.

Ash nodded.

"If we go back right away, you'll probably have to go to the academy to study, and you won't have a chance to go out and have fun." Yelena said seriously, "So I thought I could take you around the area first to broaden your horizons. What do you think?"

In fact, I really want to enter the academy right away. Ash sighed in his heart, but seeing Yelena's tense expression, he still said the answer Yelena wanted to hear: "Sure, I have no objection."

"That's fine!" Yelena seemed relieved and smiled brightly, "After dinner, let's go to the hotel and check out!"

In the following time, she excitedly introduced to Ash the place they were about to go.

"We can take a train here - Ash, you don't know what a train is yet, right? You'll be able to see it later. The tracks of the Stonehenge were laid a long time ago. Originally, they led to many places, but they were abandoned for too long. Recently, emergency repairs were carried out to restore a route that leads to the nearest territory of the Flint Throne."

"Once we get to the Flint Throne, the transportation network will be much more convenient. I'll take you to any territory of the throne you want to visit!"

Yelena told Ash a lot of beautiful, delicious and fun places, and he couldn't help but feel longing for them.

After breakfast, when Yelena was paying, Ash seemed to remember something and took out a few silver coins from his bag: "Yelena, I can't let you spend all the money forever. We have to go to other cities later, so please give me some of the food and accommodation." He forgot about it last night because of his emotional ups and downs, but he had to share some of the burden today no matter what.

"You are such a gentleman." Yelena did not accept his silver coin. Instead, she took out another silver coin from her pocket and showed it to Ash. "Although there is no difference at first glance, your coins are still different from ours."

Ash looked carefully and found that they were indeed different.

The silver coin he held was smaller and thicker, with a scale printed on it, and the workmanship was very crude. But the silver coin of Ilufu was very finely crafted, thin and shiny, with a book printed on it.

"So I'll pay for it." Yelena said with a smile, "Just treat me a few more times in the future."

Ash took back the silver coins unhappily, realizing that he was now a pauper.

They returned to the hotel and found the owner to check out.

The boss was an elderly man, his skin wrinkled and aged due to the erosion of the wind and sand of Stonehenge, but his eyes were as bright and sharp as a falcon circling high in the north.

Ash heard last night that the boss was a native of Stonehenge and was one of the old men who stayed behind to guard the land after Stonehenge fell.

"Oh, are you leaving?" The boss collected the room fee and chatted with them. "It's a good thing for you to leave early. In a day or two, the Stone Castle will be in chaos again."

Yelena leaned on the counter and asked with interest: "Old man, what happened?"

As an aboriginal boss, he must be better informed than the average person.

The boss didn't mean to hide it and told them directly: "The Wizard Association has notified us that from today, we will start the battle to seize the tower of Stone Castle."

Ash was particularly sensitive to the word "tower capture", and Yelena's reaction was even more intense. She stood up straight by holding onto the counter and asked in surprise, "Is the tower capture battle about to begin?"

After getting a positive response from her boss, she grabbed Ash and said, "No, no, this place is too dangerous. We have to leave quickly. Ash, if you get hurt, I will never be his disciple again."

disciple?

Before Ash could understand the connection, Yelena pulled his wrist: "Ash, is there anything you forgot to bring?"

Ash shook his head.

"Very good!" Yelena said hurriedly, "Thank you, old man, for the reminder," while pulling Ash out.

"Yelena!" Ash staggered. "Wait a minute, you..." He wanted to say "You grabbed too hard" because his arm was clearly burning. But soon, he realized that how could a grabbing sensation produce a burning pain? And Yelena grabbed his wrist, but the pain was in his arm...

Where the leaf mark is!
