Blame me for her?
After dawn, Luo Yuwen made his first call to Yan Ying.
"Just say it if you have something to say!"
Luo Yuwen rubbed his brows; staying up all night made his stubble grow a little longer.
"How did your brother die? I don't know anything. How can I help you find out?"
"You don't think I'm so powerful that I can even find information that the police haven't released, do you, Mr. Yan?"
After a few minutes of silence on the other side, Yan Ying told Luo Yuwen that he actually didn't know how his brother died.
The autopsy report showed that Yan Ming died of suffocation alone in the office. When the secretary discovered the abnormality, Yan Ming had no heartbeat and fell on the sofa. The forensic doctor found a suicide note in the inside pocket of Yan Ming's suit and concluded that he committed suicide.
When Luo Yuwen heard this, his temples jumped twice.
"He was alone in the office, suffocating?"
"Boss Yan, what else is there to investigate? No matter how powerful Jiang Shuiying is, she couldn't possibly have suffocated Yan Ming to death in his office from a distance, right?"
"You even prepared a suicide note, you..."
Luo Yuwen's words were met with a roar of anger, "Stop talking nonsense to me, you bastard! My brother said he wouldn't commit suicide and that's it!"
"Do you still want to know about your brother?"
Luo Yuwen held his forehead and thought for a few seconds before speaking:
"What about surveillance? You should have surveillance, right?"
"I'll go through the surveillance footage from that day. Maybe I can find something."
Unexpectedly, Yan Ying's previous irritable attitude reversed, and she began to stammer, "The surveillance... the police seized the surveillance. They said they can't return it to us for two weeks."
Luo Yuwen felt his solar plexus was beating even more violently.
"Huh? You're not kidding?"
"Where's the backup? A group this big should have surveillance backups, right?"
Yan Ying’s reply was that the surveillance backup that day was accidentally damaged.
Luo Yuwen threw the phone back on the coffee table, rubbed his temples with both hands without saying a word, but Yan Ying on the other side of the phone began to get angry again.
"What a crap attitude you have! Can't you investigate without these? Didn't I tell you Jiang Shuiying is the biggest suspect? Go investigate her!"
"I told you I'll only give you one month, figure it out for yourself!"
"Think more about your brother!"
After Yan Ying finished yelling, he hung up the phone with a snap.
Luo Yuwen threw himself on the sofa and cursed fiercely:
"Hold!"
After calming down a little, Luo Yuwen got up and took a shower. After having a few bites in front of the refrigerator, he changed his clothes and went out again. His goal was very clear.
Yan's house.
Luo Yuwen parked the car in a more secluded spot than last time. He then crouched down near a large tree. From his perspective, he could only see the rather exaggerated gate of the Yan residence. The vast forest was incomparably silent, with only the occasional bird call and the rustling of leaves as the only sound.
He squatted for a while, and when his feet became numb, he changed his posture and simply sat in the grass.
Luo Yuwen smiled self-deprecatingly. He knew he looked very funny now, stalking a widow whose husband had died like a pervert.
But he had no choice. The only clue he had now was Jiang Shuiying. All he could do now was wait.
Luo Yuwen originally thought that Jiang Shuiying would be like most wives, keen on going out to socialize or go shopping, but Jiang Shuiying didn't. Luo Yuwen waited until dark, but Jiang Shuiying didn't go out.
Luo Yuwen waited until late at night, and only after making sure that no one had entered or left Yan's house all day did he start the car and return home.
The second day was exactly the same as the first day. Jiang Shuiying didn't even leave the house. Luo Yuwen couldn't help but wonder if the Yan family had some back door that allowed Jiang Shuiying to go down the mountain without anyone noticing.
But Luo Yuwen quickly rejected this idea because there was only one way down the mountain and Jiang Shuiying could not escape his sight.
Fortunately, on the morning of the third day, just as Luo Yuwen was getting impatient, the familiar nanny car appeared at the gate. He didn't hesitate any longer and started the car and followed.
In the nanny car, Jiang Shuiying was wearing a black corseted long dress today, with a pair of pointed black mid-heeled shoes on her feet. Her hair was loosely tied with a golden ribbon and hung in front of her chest. She was touching her newly done nude manicure.
In fact, Luo Yuwen was already very careful. There was a considerable distance between the two cars, so he almost lost them, but he was still discovered by the sharp driver.
"Miss, Luo Yuwen is following us again, should we..."
Jiang Shuiying looked at her nails and didn't take the driver's words to heart.
"He's been living in Yan's house these past few days. Since he has so much gas money, just let him go and ignore him."
"Yes, miss."
Luo Yuwen followed Jiang Shuiying all the way. It started to drizzle, and the drops of rain hit his helmet. Jiang Shuiying drove for a long time, through the entire city, and took Luo Yuwen to another suburb.
Only when the car stopped did Luo Yuwen know where the river water came from.
It's a cemetery.
Jiang Shuiying got out of the car, holding a black umbrella and talking to the staff. Then the staff took Jiang Shuiying to a relatively far place. From Luo Yuwen's perspective, Jiang Shuiying had turned into a small black dot.
It turned out that she was choosing a cemetery for her late husband, and Luo Yuwen understood.
Over the next few days, Jiang Shuiying handled her husband's funeral alone, from claiming the body at the police station to cremation and burial. Luo Yuwen was surprised to find that Yan Ying hadn't shown up during this time, and when he called, no one answered.
So strange.
But before he could think about it, Jiang Shuiying revealed the news to the reporters, telling the public that Yan Ming's funeral would be held in four days and hoped that the major media would not disturb them at that time.
This news made Luo Yuwen feel even more puzzled, because if he really didn't want to be disturbed, he would not have told the media about this. Since he had told it, then this purpose was not the ultimate goal.
Luo Yuwen watched the news on TV and chuckled twice.
Jiang Shuiying is becoming more and more interesting.

Yan Ming's funeral was held as scheduled. The sky was gray and it looked like it was going to rain.
In the auditorium, Luo Yuwen, wearing a black suit and black sunglasses, hid in the corner and watched Jiang Shuiying coming and going. He chatted with this lady and then talked to that gentleman, and was very busy.
Luo Yuwen looked around but still didn't see Yan Ying. He also found that there seemed to be several cameras in the corner?
Logically speaking, this brother who cares so much about his brother shouldn't even show up at the funeral. But in order to avoid attracting attention, Luo Yuwen chose to hide in a corner, pretending to be a stranger, and observe what would happen next.
After the guests finished their eulogies, Jiang Shuiying came on stage and delivered her final remarks, and then it was time for dinner.
Luo Yuwen looked at Jiang Shui on the stage, tears welling up in her eyes. She cried with a trembling voice as she spoke of the kindness of her late husband and how reluctant she was to let him go.
To anyone who looked at her, she didn't look like a woman who would kill her husband.
After all the ceremonies were over, the guests were silent in the audience. Jiang Shuiying wiped her tears and was helped down the stairs by her bodyguards.
At this moment, the back door of the stage began to clang. It sounded like someone was kicking the door from inside. Jiang Shuiying and the guests were all startled.
After a loud bang, the door was kicked open, and a man with a scar on his face came out angrily from the backstage. He ran to Jiang Shuiying, pointed at her nose, and roared:
"You didn't even tell me about my brother's funeral! Jiang Shuiying, are you looking for death?!"
Luo Yuwen recognized him, it was Yan Ying.
This scene shocked everyone. They held a funeral for their deceased husband without informing their brother-in-law! Especially in the Yan family, if this were put on the gossip page, it would definitely be the headline.
All the guests, including Luo Yuwen, stopped and watched what would happen next.
Luo Yuwen hid in the crowd, straightening his sunglasses, hoping Yan Ying wouldn't recognize him. Inadvertently, he caught a glimpse of someone holding a camera in the corner, seemingly raising it a bit.
The bodyguards around Jiang Shuiying were quick-witted and agile. They dealt with Yan Ying as easily as dealing with a chick and captured Yan Ying.
Yan Ying was obviously not convinced. Even though his arms were handcuffed behind his back, he still looked fierce.
"Let me go if you have the guts!"
"Why did my brother marry someone like you? Who the hell do you think you are?"
Yan Ying's words made Jiang Shuiying's eyes widen. She covered her mouth and stepped back repeatedly, tears flowing out like a flood.
"How could you say that to me..."
"It's obviously your fault that you didn't know about the funeral... How could I not inform you..."
Jiang Shuiying cried so hard that she bent over with her hands covering her waist, and her sobs echoed in the empty auditorium.
The steward appeared at the right moment, helped Jiang Shuiying up, and said to Yan Ying:
"Second Young Master, there's no way Madam would forget you. It's impossible that everyone sent letters and only you were forgotten!"
"The lady has just lost her husband, please be considerate of her!"
Yan Ying's face was filled with disbelief when she heard this. "You...you blame me for her???"
"You're my housekeeper! Not hers!"
After Yan Ying finished yelling, he turned around and looked at the people in the audience. They all had shocked and alienated expressions, as if they were the ones being unreasonable!
This feeling of isolation made Yan Ying collapse instantly. He broke free from the bodyguards with great force, picked up the vase on the stage and wanted to smash it at Jiang Shuiying!
Jiang Shuiying hid aside, frowned and buried herself in her arms.
Fortunately, before the flowerpot fell, several policemen rushed in and, together with the bodyguards, pinned Yan Ying to the ground.
The leading policeman raised his baton and pointed it at Yan Ying's head.
"Don't move!"
"Yan Ying, you're causing trouble and endangering public order. Take you back to the station!"
"yes!"
Yan Ying was carried out of the auditorium by the police, cursing, and kicked down several flower baskets before leaving.
Jiang Shuiying was supported by the housekeeper and walked to the microphone and spoke to the guests in a trembling voice:
"I'm sorry everyone, I made you laugh... Let's go to the thank-you banquet first..."
After saying this, Jiang Shuiying disappeared backstage, accompanied by the housekeeper. Luo Yuwen saw the camera in the corner quietly put away. He raised an eyebrow, followed the flow of people out of the auditorium, and disappeared into the crowd.
