Xiao Shanjie suddenly smiled seductively and poked Huo Jiansheng's chest with a skewer of grilled meat. "Since everyone outside is saying we're gay, let's just confirm it, shall we?"

"Eat up, even eating won't shut you up!"
"Hmph! You know perfectly well that I don't like barbecue, yet you still bought it for me. You have no conscience!" Xiao Shanjie rolled her eyes at Huo Jiansheng.
Huo Jiansheng laughed heartily: "You may not like it, but I do!"
"No, I remember you didn't like barbecue either. When did your taste change?" Xiao Shanjie looked at Huo Jiansheng, who was eating with his mouth full of oil, with a surprised expression.
"I'm not telling you!" Huo Jiansheng said with a smile. "Mmm, it's really delicious. Do you want some more tomorrow night? I'll bring you some more."
"I won't eat it! I won't eat it!" Xiao Shanjie pointed at Huo Jiansheng with the kebab, "Tell me, do you like him or not?"

"You're just being stubborn. Look at your face in the mirror. Your mouth is practically splitting to the back of your head. I saw you looking like this more than ten years ago."
Huo Jiansheng touched his face. "What do I look like?"
"Look at you now, acting like a lovesick fool!" Xiao Shanjie said, pointing at Huo Jiansheng's face.
Huo Jiansheng glared at Xiao Shanjie, "Eat up, or it'll get cold!"
Xiao Shanjie pursed his lips, reluctantly took a bite, and said, "Hmm, it's pretty good. Where did you buy it?"
"Is it delicious?" Huo Jiansheng said smugly. "I'll bring you more tomorrow."
"I don't have to work the night shift tomorrow, so how about I go with you tomorrow?"
"Forget it, just leave me alone!"
"You stingy bastard!" Xiao Shanjie said angrily, taking a big bite of the kebab and chewing hard.
Huo Jiansheng glanced at Xiao Shanjie and happily ate his kebabs.
Xiao Shanjie has red lips and white teeth, a male body with feminine features, and speaks softly. Because Huo Jiansheng often comes to keep him company during night shifts, people in the hospital assume that he and Huo Jiansheng are gay.
However, he is not actually gay; it's just that his appearance makes him look effeminate and unattractive to girls.
