Chapter 149 Awakening

Chapter 149 Awakening

An Xin quickly lowered her head, not daring to look at Wang Junfeng again. She shrank into the crowd. At this moment, she was somewhat glad that she was in the car with many people around, so Wang Junfeng wouldn't dare to do anything to her. If she had encountered Wang Junfeng alone outside, she didn't know what she would have done.

She gripped the handrail tightly, her palms sweaty.

The bus kept stopping and starting, and with only two stops left to get home, An Xin became increasingly nervous. She didn't know whether she should get off the bus or not. What if Wang Junfeng got off with her?

But if she doesn't get off, is she just going to follow the bus like that?

An Xin was so anxious she didn't know what to do; there was only one stop left before she had to get off the train.

She mustered her courage and looked up in Wang Junfeng's direction, but unexpectedly saw no one.

Where are they?

An Xin quickly looked up and searched around for Wang Junfeng, but couldn't find him.

Did he get off the bus?

Or was I seeing things?

Regardless, as long as Wang Junfeng wasn't there, An Xin breathed a sigh of relief. Just then, she arrived at her stop and hurriedly got off the train as if fleeing.

After getting off the bus, she didn't dare linger on the road and ran all the way home.

Opening and locking the door were done in one smooth motion.

Looking at the door she had locked, An Xin let out a sigh of relief and collapsed onto the sofa.

At this time, Chen Xiaohui and Li Man had not yet left work.

After sitting for a while, An Xin got up to cook. She started cooking the rice first, waiting for Chen Xiaohui to come back from work and buy groceries.

However, sometimes it's Chen Xiaohui who buys it, and sometimes it's Li Man who buys it.

They agreed to split the rent, utilities, and gas bills, and whoever got off work earlier would go grocery shopping.

Even the best of friends need to settle accounts clearly, otherwise conflicts will arise over time. After all, no one wants to be the one who suffers the most.

Not long after, Chen Xiaohui returned from grocery shopping. An Xin had locked the door from the inside, so she pounded on it and shouted, "An Xin, why did you lock the door? Open it now!"

Upon hearing Chen Xiaohui's voice, An Xin quickly ran to open the door.

As soon as the door opened, Chen Xiaohui asked, "Why did you lock the door? What happened?"

An Xin wanted to tell Chen Xiaohui that she had just seen Wang Junfeng, but she was not sure and was afraid that she had imagined it.

Afraid of worrying Chen Xiaohui, An Xin decided not to tell her mother, so she said, "I accidentally locked it from the inside."

"You clumsy child," Chen Xiaohui said with a laugh, not taking it to heart. She entered the room and asked, "Have you cooked?"

“It’s cooked,” An Xin replied.

"Has your Aunt Liman not returned yet?" Chen Xiaohui asked as she changed her shoes.

"No."

"Alright, go do your homework. Mom will call you when dinner is ready."

"OK."

An Xin responded and went back to her room to do her homework.

She shared a room with Chen Xiaohui, while Li Man had her own room. However, sometimes Chen Xiaohui would go to Li Man's room to sleep, and the two always had endless topics to talk about.

After dinner, Anxin took a shower and went to bed.

In her sleep, An Xin vaguely felt a pair of hands stroking her face. Wang Junfeng's face involuntarily appeared in her mind, and she screamed in fright, waking up.

Chen Xiaohui was startled by An Xin's reaction. She saw that An Xin had been listless and lethargic all night, and worried that she was sick, so she touched her forehead to see if she had a fever. As soon as she touched her forehead, An Xin was startled awake.
