Chapter 195 I'm just taking what I deserve.
The three-and-a-half-hour trial finally ended, and as Tan Xiyuan walked out of the courtroom, she was stopped by Lu Feng.
Tan's father and mother thought Lu Feng was going to hit Tan Xiyuan, so they quickly shielded Tan Xiyuan behind them.
"What do you think you're doing? This is a courthouse, there are surveillance cameras here!" Tan's mother warned.
"Mom, don't be nervous. I have something I want to say to Xiyuan. Could you two leave for a moment?" Lu Feng said softly.
"Don't call me Mom. You're divorced. I'm not your mother. Say what you have to say here. I won't leave." Tan's mother still held Tan Xiyuan tightly, afraid that Lu Feng would hit her.
Lu Feng kept his eyes on Tan Xiyuan, but Tan Xiyuan turned her face away, deliberately avoiding looking at him.
Unable to get rid of Mr. and Mrs. Tan, Lu Feng had no choice but to say, "Xi Yuan, please, for the sake of our many years of marriage, don't take so much cash with you, okay?"
"Pah! You're dreaming!" Tan's mother couldn't help but spit on Lu Feng. "You cheated on your husband and you still have the nerve to say such things."
Realizing that his words had caused a misunderstanding, Lu Feng quickly explained, "It's not what you think. What I meant was, could Xi Yuan not take away so much of the company's cash? Could she exchange it for company shares instead?"
“Impossible.” Tan Xiyuan finally looked at Lu Feng and said.
A flicker of despair crossed Lu Feng's eyes. "If you take so much money with you, the company is finished."
"That's your problem, it has nothing to do with me!" Tan Xiyuan said coldly.
Just now, Lu Feng warned the old lady not to talk nonsense. Now, seeing Tan Xiyuan speaking to Lu Feng like this, the old lady couldn't hold back any longer. She jumped out, pointed at Tan Xiyuan, and cursed, "You slut! Without my son, would you have so much money? You vixen, you seduced the judge and got him to award you so much money..."
Tan Xiyuan's face turned cold, and she shouted sharply, "Shut up!"
Tan Xiyuan's voice was very loud, which startled the old lady, and the rest of the words she was about to say got stuck in her throat.
The old lady was taken aback when Tan Xiyuan dared to insult her, and was momentarily speechless. When she finally came to her senses and was about to retaliate, Tan Xiyuan warned, "If you dare say another word, I'll sue you for defamation!"
Lu Feng quickly pulled the old lady away and pleaded, "Mom, please don't make things worse!"
The old lady glared at Tan Xiyuan and angrily shut her mouth.
"Do you really have to do this?" Lu Feng asked unwillingly.
Tan Xiyuan remained expressionless and coldly said, "I'm just taking what I deserve."
Lu Feng stared intently at Tan Xiyuan, his eyes filled with resentment.
"Don't look at me like that. You only have yourself to blame for all of this, so don't blame anyone else!" Tan Xiyuan couldn't help but say.
"Let's go, don't waste time talking to him. We'll do whatever the court decides." Tan's mother pushed Tan Xiyuan away.
Under her parents' protection, Tan Xiyuan got into the car and drove away.
As the figure in the rearview mirror receded into the distance, Tan Xiyuan finally couldn't hold back her tears; their ten-year marriage had finally come to an end.
Tan's mother comforted her, saying, "Don't be sad. Take good care of the child from now on."
"Mom, after I finish the formalities, I want to go abroad." Tan Xiyuan finally told her parents about her plans.
"Why do you want to go abroad?" Tan's mother asked in surprise.
“I want to stay away from Lu Feng. I’m afraid he’ll try to take the child from me,” Tan Xiyuan said, touching her slightly protruding belly.
Tan Xiyuan is more than four months pregnant, but she is wearing loose clothes so her belly is not visible.
“But who will take care of you if you go abroad alone?” Tan’s mother said worriedly.
"Gu Ya is abroad, I'm going to stay with her."
Tan's mother knew Gu Ya because Tan Xiyuan had brought Gu Ya home for dinner.
Knowing that Tan Xiyuan had gone to seek refuge with Gu Ya, Tan's mother was relieved. "Then when you are about to give birth, your father and I will come to find you."
"Okay, thank you, Mom. You're the best to me." Tan Xiyuan affectionately took her mother's arm, rested her head on her shoulder, and said in a coquettish tone.
"Silly child, you are my daughter. If I'm not good to you, who else should I be good to?" Tan's mother said kindly.
Tan Xiyuan leaned happily on her mother's shoulder. It was because of her parents' support and understanding that she had more confidence to get a divorce.
