Chapter 202 Has the Doctor Been Here?

Chapter 202 Has the Doctor Been Here?

Lu Feng went to the neonatal department and took some photos of the babies sleeping in incubators.

After taking the photos, Lu Feng didn't go back to the ward to tell San'er; he went home alone.

When the old lady saw Lu Feng return, she asked, "How is she? Did she ask you to take responsibility?"

“I haven’t told her yet,” Lu Feng said.

The old lady pursed her lips and said, "If we can keep it from her, we should try to keep it from her."

They truly are a mother and son with hearts connected; their thoughts are exactly the same.

Lu Feng didn't say anything. He went to his room, grabbed some clothes, and went to take a shower. His clothes were covered in San'er's blood.

The old woman asked again, "Did you see the child? Was it a boy or a girl?"

"It's a boy."

After Lu Feng finished speaking, he slammed the bathroom door shut with a loud bang.

The old woman's face immediately turned pale, tears streaming down her face as she murmured, "My poor grandson..."

After taking a shower and having a meal, Lu Feng took a few of San'er's clothes and returned to the hospital.

When they got back to the hospital, it was almost 10 p.m., and San'er was nearly frantic with worry.

Upon seeing Lu Feng, San'er complained, "I asked you to take some pictures of my son, why did it take you so long?"

“When I brought you to the hospital, my clothes were covered in your blood, so I went home and changed my clothes,” Lu Feng explained.

San'er said unhappily, "Why didn't you ask Mom to bring you clothes?" Speaking of her mother-in-law, San'er asked again, "By the way, why didn't I see Mom come to see me?"

"Uh... Mom's watching the kids." Lu Feng made up an excuse.

San'er asked doubtfully, "Can I go in and take care of the child?"

"No, Mom is worried about the child, so she's waiting outside."

After telling lies so many times, Lu Feng just got used to it.

"Is the baby really okay, born so many months premature?" San'er asked worriedly.

"It's nothing, don't overthink it."

The more Lu Feng said everything was fine, the more worried San'er became. She was so anxious that tears were about to come out of her eyes. "Lu Feng, please don't lie to me. Is something wrong with the child? Otherwise, why would Mom be waiting there?"

"There's really nothing wrong. It's just that the baby was born too early and his organs haven't fully developed yet, so Mom was worried and stayed there to watch over him."

"Is that really true?" San'er asked, somewhat incredulously.

"Yes, stop overthinking. Just focus on recovering and wait until your wound heals in a few days before you go see a doctor."

Hearing Lu Feng say this, San'er finally felt relieved. "How long will the child stay in the incubator?"

"It's hard to say, it depends on the child's situation."

"By the way, did you take pictures of the child? Let me see them quickly." San'er couldn't wait to reach out and ask Lu Feng for his phone to see the photos.

Lu Feng took out his phone and showed the photos to San'er.

"Why was the photo taken from so far away? I can't even see the child's face," San'er complained, looking at the photo.

"The doctor wouldn't let me in, so I took the photos from outside."

San'er pursed her lips and didn't say anything more.

San'er looked at the photos for a long time and couldn't bear to put them down.

Seeing San'er like this, Lu Feng felt a pang of sadness. The doctor wouldn't cooperate with him, and he didn't know what to do. He could only wait it out, one day at a time.

Thinking of the doctor, Lu Feng quickly asked, "By the way, has the doctor come by?"

"Yes, I have."

Upon hearing that the doctor had been there, Lu Feng immediately became nervous. "When did he arrive? Did he say anything?"
