Chapter 207 Sent to the Emergency Room
Upon seeing someone approaching, the men scattered and fled, disappearing into the crowd.
Riemann was beaten black and blue, his head was bleeding, and he collapsed to the ground unconscious.
"Riemann!"
When Huo Jiansheng saw Li Man lying on the ground covered in blood, his heart suddenly clenched. He didn't care about chasing after her anymore, and rushed forward in a panic, picking up Li Man. "Li Man, how are you? Are you alright?"
Huo Jiansheng himself didn't notice that his voice was trembling slightly.
"Huo Jiansheng..."
Li Man leaned limply against Huo Jiansheng's chest, her consciousness somewhat hazy, her eyes swollen and bruised. She opened her eyes slightly, her lips twitching as she tried to force a smile so he wouldn't worry, but the pain made her gasp, tears mingling with blood as they streamed down her cheeks. "It hurts so much!"
Bright red blood streamed down her forehead, blurring her vision. Huo Jiansheng frantically tried to wipe it away, but the more he wiped, the more blood flowed, smearing his hand in the process.
He was panicked, his voice trembling: "Don't be afraid, I'll take you to the hospital right away."
With that, Huo Jiansheng picked up Li Man and ran towards the parking lot.
He had never been so panicked before.
Chen Xiaohui and An Xin ran behind.
Li Man was bleeding heavily, and Huo Jiansheng was terrified. He slammed on the gas, running red lights all the way to the hospital. When they arrived, he picked up Li Man and rushed into the emergency room, shouting incoherently, "Doctor, please save her!"
Riemann was taken to the emergency room.
Huo Jiansheng, Chen Xiaohui, and An Xin stood guard at the door of the operating room.
Huo Jiansheng lowered his head, looking at his blood-soaked hands, his fingers trembling slightly uncontrollably.
He clenched his fists tightly, the anger in his heart almost consuming him.
How could those people be so cruel to an unarmed woman?
That's absolutely outrageous!
He looked up at the operating room, his heart pounding with panic.
Xiao Shanjie rushed over after receiving the news. Seeing Huo Jiansheng's panicked and helpless appearance, his delicate brows furrowed slightly, and he asked, "How is he?"
"She hasn't come out yet."
Huo Jiansheng's slightly trembling voice made Xiao Shanjie frown even more. He had never seen Huo Jiansheng so nervous before.
He looked thoughtfully toward the operating room.
"You're not actually serious about her, are you?"
"Shut up, what time is it, and you still have the mind to joke around!" Huo Jiansheng glared at him and said irritably.
Xiao Shanjie clicked his tongue twice and said, "I've never seen you so nervous before."
"Now that you've seen it, can you get lost?" Huo Jiansheng said rudely.
"Hey, I haven't even seen my patient yet, and you're already telling me to get lost?" Xiao Shanjie shouted in dissatisfaction.
"The patient doesn't know you at all, what are you doing here?"
"Hey, who called me crying?" Xiao Shanjie sneered.
"Who's crying?" Huo Jiansheng asked, annoyed.
Did I say anything to you? Why are you yelling so loudly?
"..."
"Shut up, you're so noisy!"

Listening to their conversation, Chen Xiaohui gave Huo Jiansheng a strange look.
She asked Li Man what her relationship with Huo Jiansheng was and why Huo Jiansheng often came to see her.
Riemann replied, "We're friends, what other relationship could we have?"
She added, "Don't get the wrong idea. Our friendship is very pure. Besides, a man as outstanding as him would never be interested in me. I have that much self-awareness."
