Chapter 228 Borrowing a Daughter
After hanging up the phone, Huo Jiansheng drove to his sister Huo Peiqing's house.
Huo Jiansheng has three siblings. He is the second oldest, with an older brother Huo Jianguo, a younger brother Huo Jianping, and a younger sister Huo Peiqing.
Huo Peiqing was somewhat surprised to see his second brother suddenly come to find him, and teased, "What wind blew you here today?"

The sweet lie was ruthlessly exposed by his younger sister. Huo Jiansheng touched his nose with boredom and asked, "Where's Xinyu?"
Huo Peiqing's daughter, Liu Xinyu, is also eleven years old. He wants her to pretend to be Li Man's daughter. In any case, Li Man's parents have never met Huang Duoduo.
Besides, Huang Duoduo and Li Man have fallen out. Even if we let her go, it would be a hassle and might even make everyone unhappy.
In fact, Huo Jiansheng knew that the person the old man most wanted to see was not Huang Dehan, but the child.
"What do you need Xinyu for? She's studying."

"Didn't you have your eye on a villa in Phoenix City? I'll give it to you, so now you can lend me Xinyu, right?"
Huo Peiqing's curiosity was immediately piqued by Huo Jiansheng. What could make her second brother so generous as to give her a villa so readily?
"No, I won't lend Xinyu to you unless you tell me why."
Huo Jiansheng was too embarrassed to tell his sister the truth, so he softened his tone and said, "Please don't ask so many questions, okay?"
"No way!" Huo Peiqing refused.
The less Huo Jiansheng told her, the more interested she became and the more she wanted to know.
Huo Jiansheng knew that his sister wouldn't agree unless he gave her a reason, so he had no choice but to tell her the truth: "I want Xinyu to pretend to be my friend's daughter."
Huo Peiqing looked completely bewildered. "Why would he pretend to be your friend's daughter? What about his own daughter? No, doesn't he know what his own daughter looks like?"
"Her father is seriously ill, and the old man wants to see his child. However, her child is not available, so she wants to find a child to go and comfort the old man," Huo Jiansheng explained succinctly.
Huo Peiqing was immediately drawn to the "he" Huo Jiansheng mentioned. Was it a male "he" or a female "she"?
"Who is 'he'?" Huo Peiqing couldn't help but ask curiously.
Huo Jiansheng rolled his eyes at her and said impatiently, "I've already told you, are you going to lend it or not?"
Seeing that Huo Jiansheng was showing signs of losing his temper, Huo Peiqing had no choice but to suppress his curiosity and said, "I can lend you the person, but I have to ask Xinyu's opinion first. If she doesn't want to go with you, there's nothing I can do."
“Okay, let her come out, I’ll talk to her,” Huo Jiansheng said.
Huo Peiqing had no choice but to have the servants bring Xinyu down.
