Chapter 243 Feigning Calm
Although Huang Dehan has submitted his resignation, he cannot leave immediately. He must wait for the company to appoint a new general manager before handing over his work to the new general manager.
At the earliest, it will take about a month to get there.
Huang Dehan sat in his office, his brow furrowed, looking uneasy.
Suddenly, the landline on his desk rang, startling Huang Dehan. After regaining his composure, he answered the phone.
"Mr. Huang, Mr. Liu requests your presence."
Upon hearing this, Huang Dehan's hand holding the microphone trembled uncontrollably, and fear instantly gripped his heart.
What was bound to happen has happened.
He closed his eyes in despair, never expecting that even though he was being so careful, he would still be discovered.
"OK."
Huang Dehan responded weakly and hung up the phone.
He stood up from the sofa, his calves trembling slightly.
He tried his best to suppress his fear and walked towards the boss's office.
When he arrived at the office door, he took a deep breath and gently knocked.
"Please come in!"
A deep, powerful voice came from inside the office.
Huang Dehan forced himself to remain calm as he walked in with a smile. "Mr. Liu, you wanted to see me?"
Liu Jun sat at his desk, looked up at Huang Dehan, and his sharp gaze seemed to pierce through him.
Huang Dehan was so nervous that his palms were slightly sweaty, and he felt like he had a rabbit in his chest, his heart pounding. However, he still pretended to be calm and his face showed no emotion.
He lowered his eyes, adopting a respectful demeanor, waiting for Liu Jun to speak.
Liu Jun stared at Huang Dehan for a long time, then suddenly threw the USB drive in his hand onto the desk.
Upon seeing the USB drive, Huang Dehan's heart skipped a beat, and cold sweat instantly broke out on his back.
"I wonder what brings Mr. Liu here?" Huang Dehan asked respectfully, his voice steady.
Do you recognize this?
Liu Jun spoke slowly, his eyes fixed on Huang Dehan, not missing a single subtle expression on his face.
Huang Dehan shook his head, looking blank. "Don't know him? What's wrong?"
Seeing Huang Dehan's composure, Liu Jun frowned. If he didn't have evidence to prove that Huang Dehan was the one who did it, he would have been fooled by Huang Dehan.
The person in front of me is incredibly strong-willed; even when faced with evidence, they remain completely unfazed.
He's a talented person, but he's misdirected his efforts.
Liu Jun then showed those photos again.
Upon seeing the photo, Huang Dehan's expression changed slightly, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes, but he quickly regained his composure.
However, Liu Jun still caught the slight change in Huang Dehan's eyes.
A mocking smile curled at the corner of his lips as he asked, "How do you explain this?"
Huang Dehan looked bewildered and said, "Mr. Liu, I really don't know what you mean. Who took this picture? I was just throwing out the trash, is there a problem?"
Liu Jun leaned back in his chair, sneering at Huang Dehan. "In the company, besides you, there are a few other R&D technicians who have the password to log into this system. I've investigated them thoroughly, and there's no one else besides you. I'm asking you, why did you do this? The company has treated you well, hasn't it?"
Huang Dehan tried to argue, "Mr. Liu, I really don't know what you're talking about?"
Liu Jun's eyes suddenly sharpened. "If you don't tell me, I'm calling the police. You know, there are fingerprints on this USB drive."
