Chapter 251 Keep an eye on him
In the spacious office, Huo Jiansheng sat upright on the sofa chair, his tall figure encased in a simple yet sophisticated shirt and trousers, exuding an air of superiority and awe.
“Mr. Huo, we’ve been following Huang Dehan for the past two days, and the police are looking for him everywhere. Should we give the police some information?” Private investigator Awei asked.
"No need for now."
He wanted to consult Riemann.
“Okay, shall we continue to keep an eye on him?” Ah Wei asked again.
Huo Jiansheng hummed in agreement, then asked, "Where is he hiding now?"
"He is now homeless. Last night he slept in the park, but his wallet and phone were stolen by a homeless man. He is now penniless."
Huo Jiansheng tapped his long, slender fingers lightly on the table, seemingly deep in thought. After a while, he said, "Keep a close eye on him. Don't let him die easily."
"OK."
"Alright, you can go back now. Tell me if anything comes up."
"OK."
Ah Wei responded and then left.
Huo Jiansheng picked up his phone and called Li Man.
But Riemann's phone was turned off.
...
Riemann's phone rang as soon as he got off the plane.
Seeing that the caller ID showed Huo Jiansheng, Li Man quickly answered, "Huo Jiansheng, what's up?"
"What happened? Why has your phone been off?" Huo Jiansheng asked anxiously, his voice filled with worry. He had been so worried when he couldn't get through to Li Man that he almost booked a flight to fly over to find her.
“I’m back in Shenzhen,” Li Man said.
"You're back? Did you see the news? Do your parents know?" Huo Jiansheng asked repeatedly.
“My mom knows, but my dad doesn’t. We’re keeping it from him because we don’t want him to worry.”
"Your mom...didn't scold you, did she?" Huo Jiansheng asked worriedly.
"No, I already told her."
"So you came back because of Huang Dehan?"
"No, I came back because I was worried about my daughter. Huang Dehan ran away, and I was worried about leaving her here alone."
Where are you now? Are you home yet?
"No, I just got off the plane."
"Then wait for me, I'm coming to pick you up now. There's something I want to tell you."
"What's up?"
"I'll tell you slowly when we get there."
"All right."
After hanging up the phone, Li Man found a random spot at the airport and sat down to wait for Huo Jiansheng.
She came back empty-handed, without any luggage.
Half an hour later, Huo Jiansheng arrived. He was wearing a white shirt and black trousers, which made him stand out in the crowd, especially his long legs, which made him look tall and charming.
He searched for Riemann in the crowd. Riemann quickly stood up and called out softly, "Huo Jiansheng, I'm here."
"I'm sorry to have kept you waiting. Are you hungry? I'll treat you to a meal." Huo Jiansheng stepped forward quickly and said apologetically.
Riemann said with a smile, "If anyone should be treating, it should be me. I still owe you so many meals."
Huo Jiansheng smiled and said, "Okay, then you're treating me today."
"No problem, it's nothing."
The two walked out of the airport side by side, chatting and laughing.
When getting into the car, Huo Jiansheng very gentlemanly opened the passenger door for Li Man.
"Thanks!"
Riemann politely thanked him and got into the car.
After the car drove away from the airport, Riemann asked, "What did you want to tell me just now?"
Huo Jiansheng gripped the steering wheel, looking straight ahead, and said, "I know where Huang Dehan is. Do you want to hand him over to the police?"
