Chapter 305 Going to the Hospital

Chapter 305 Going to the Hospital

Upon hearing this, Huang Dehan immediately became anxious. How could he go to the hospital with so many goods on his hands?

This money is really not so easy to earn.

After the village doctor left, Huang Dehan looked around the farmhouse in front of him. The yard was very clean. Inside the corner of the gate, there were two rows of firewood, each taller than a person, stacked neatly. There were also several potted plants that looked quite nice against the wall.

This place is not bad. Huang Dehan looked at the driver, wanting to get closer to him, "Sir, what's your name?"

The driver was probably in his fifties. He said his name was Da Fu and that Huang Dehan should just call him Uncle Fu.

Through conversation, it was learned that Dafu has two sons and a daughter. Both sons have bought houses and settled down in the city, and his daughter is married and currently lives in the county town. Now, only he and his wife live at home.

Huang Dehan told Dafu that he came to find his relatives, but he didn't find them and twisted his ankle instead.

The simple-minded Dafu didn't suspect anything and even asked him what he planned to do.

"Do you have any rooms left?" Huang Dehan asked.

“Yes,” Dafu said.

Huang Dehan asked, "Can I stay at your place for a few days? I'll leave once my leg injury has healed. Don't worry, I won't stay for free; I'll pay your rent, okay?"

Hearing that he could get money, Dafu was very happy and readily agreed, telling Huang Dehan to just give him the money.

When he was about to leave, Huang Dehan asked Yi Bing to withdraw five thousand yuan for him, gave Dafu two thousand yuan, and added that he had spent more than a thousand yuan yesterday, so he only had a little over a thousand yuan left in his wallet.

He took out another thousand yuan from his wallet and handed it to Dafu: "Uncle Fu, I'm sorry to trouble you these next few days. Could you please take me to the hospital?"

Dafu happily accepted the money and said, "Okay, I'll take you to the hospital now."

Huang Dehan looked at the suitcase in his hand and asked, "Where is the room? I'll put my luggage away before I leave."

Dafu pointed to the second room in the house and said, "You can stay in that room. That's my youngest son's room. He hasn't come back to stay here for a long time."

"Thank you, Uncle Fu."

Huang Dehan thanked him and struggled to his feet, holding onto the stool.

When Dafu saw that Huang Dehan had injured his leg, he kindly offered to help him with his luggage. However, before he could even touch the suitcase, Huang Dehan nervously hugged it to his chest, as if afraid that Dafu would snatch it away, which made Dafu very embarrassed.

Huang Dehan realized he was too nervous and quickly said, "I'm sorry, I can do it myself, thank you!"

As he spoke, Huang Dehan, carrying his suitcase, limped and struggled toward the room.

The room was small and messy, piled with all sorts of odds and ends. The wooden bed was empty, with nothing on it.

Dafu walked over and said, "I'll have my wife make your bed in a bit."

Huang Dehan nodded, looked at the door, and asked, "Do we have a key to this room?"

Dafu said awkwardly, "I'm sorry, this room doesn't have a lock."

Huang Dehan frowned. How could he feel at ease leaving the box in the room without locking it?

"Um, could you help me find a lock? You can buy one too, I'll pay you," Huang Dehan said.

Dafu waved his hand and said, "No need to buy it, I'll go find one for you."

As he spoke, Dafu began rummaging through drawers and cabinets in the house.

Finally, we found an old-fashioned padlock.

All the doors here are locked with padlocks.
