Chapter 41 Securing the Order
Riemann goes out to run business every day, even on weekends, and she never rests, no matter the wind or rain. She runs from morning till night, and when she gets hungry, she just grabs something to eat outside, and when she gets thirsty, she drinks the boiled water she brought with her.
With such intense work every day, Li Man's old back pain flared up again. She went to the pharmacy to buy some plasters to apply and then continued to go out to run her business.
That day, while she was introducing a product to a customer, a sharp pain suddenly shot through her lower back. She gritted her teeth and persevered, but the intense pain still made her furrow her brow. Her clothes were instantly soaked with cold sweat, but she endured it and managed to finish introducing the product.
The boss noticed that she looked unwell and asked with concern, "Are you feeling unwell?"
Riemann's face was frighteningly pale as she replied, "Yes, but compared to the hardships of life and survival, what is this little pain?"
How could she not work hard? Huang Dehan really didn't give her any household allowance this month. She only has a few hundred yuan left. If she doesn't work hard to promote the products, she'll starve next month.
The boss was probably someone who had experienced hardship, and Riemann's words touched him. He readily signed an order worth 100,000 yuan with Riemann.
Riemann hadn't expected her boss to be so agreeable, and kept saying, "Thank you."
The boss waved his hand and said, "No need to thank me, you should thank yourself. It is your persistence that moves me, and it is your persistence that reminds me of my own youth. I was just like you, struggling to make a living and enduring all kinds of hardships. Young man, work hard, life will not let you down, and your efforts will one day be rewarded."
Riemann broke down instantly. She blinked, trying not to let the tears fall, and choked out, "I will."
And so, Riemann finally secured an order before the end of the month.
...
Soon the day of the trial arrived, and Li Man and Wang Junfeng appeared in court together.
Neither San'er nor Huang Dehan appeared in the dock.
San'er knew that she would lose the case whether she went or not, so she simply decided not to go. After all, being a mistress wasn't exactly a glorious thing.
Even if the mistress doesn't come, it won't affect the court's judgment.
After hearing the case, the court held that the defendant, knowing that Huang Dehan was still married, maintained an improper relationship with him and accepted gifts of real estate and property, which violated public morals and constituted a violation of the law. Therefore, the court ruled that the defendant should return the property and the gifts.
Hearing the court's verdict, Li Man breathed a sigh of relief. She decided to put the house she had recovered in her daughter's name, because even if she got the house back, it would still be their joint property, and Huang Dehan would take half of it in the event of a divorce.
If the property is registered in the daughter's name, it is a gift from them to her and is her own property; they have no right to divide it.
That evening, Riemann arrived at apartment 1003 in the Tianze Lakeside residential complex with practiced ease.
She knocked gently on the door.
The door opened quickly, and San'er, with her hair down and wearing a sexy nightgown, looked a little nervous when she saw Li Man. "What are you doing here?"
Riemann's lips curled into a mocking smile. "This is my house. What do you think I'm doing here?"
San'er glared angrily at Li Man, but dared not speak out.
"Is Huang Dehan inside?" Li Man asked, looking into the room.
San'er shook her head. "He's not here. Look for him somewhere else."
After saying that, San'er tried to close the door.
Just as San'er was about to close the door, Li Man raised her hand to block the door, forcefully pushed the half-closed door open, and stepped into the room.
