Huang Duoduo glanced up at her, casually called out, "Mom," and then went back to watching TV.
"Where's Mr. Huo?" Zhang Yan glanced at the doorway. "Didn't he come back with you?"
Riemann said, "He's resting at the hotel, so I didn't let him come over."
Zhang Yan put down the snacks in her hand, stood up and walked towards the room, saying, "Come with me."
Li Man, unaware of what was going on, followed Zhang Yan into the room.
Zhang Yan closed the door.
"Mom, what are you doing?" Li Man couldn't help but ask.
Zhang Yan sat down on the edge of the bed. "Sit down, Mom has some things to ask you."
Seeing her mother's serious expression, Li Man felt inexplicably uneasy, like when she was a child and had made a mistake and was waiting to be scolded.
After sitting down on the edge of the bed, she asked cautiously, "What is it, Mom?"
Zhang Yan stared at Li Man, her eyes filled with heartache. "Tell Mom, did Huang Dehan hit you?"
Riemann frowned slightly, puzzled, and asked, "Mom, why are you suddenly asking this?"
"Just tell me, is it true?"
"Did Duo Duo tell you?"
