In the evening, Huang Dehan returned home and saw Li Man sitting on the sofa with her legs crossed, watching TV. He walked over and sat down on the single sofa next to her.
"Did you go see Zhao Yalin yesterday?"
Riemann watched TV and casually hummed in agreement.
"Where did you take her things?" Huang Dehan asked again.
Riemann, his eyes still glued to the television, said, "I sold them all."
"Sold them?" Huang Dehan was surprised that Riemann had actually sold those things. He quickly asked, "How much did you get for them?"
"Three hundred thousand!"
"What?" Huang Dehan could hardly believe his ears. He had spent no less than a million on those items, yet Riemann only sold them for three hundred thousand?
Huang Dehan was heartbroken!
"Do you know how much I spent to buy those things? You only sold them for 300,000?" Huang Dehan was furious and shouted.
Riemann finally shifted her gaze from the television to Huang Dehan, looking completely innocent. "These are all used secondhand goods. How much do you think they can still be sold for?"
“Even if those gold and jewelry were sold secondhand, they couldn’t possibly be this cheap, right? Just that diamond ring I bought alone cost over two hundred thousand.” Mentioning the diamond ring, Huang Dehan suddenly realized what had happened and quickly asked, “What about that diamond ring? Did you sell it too?”
Riemann nodded. "Sold."
"How much did you sell it for?" Huang Dehan asked nervously.
"It sold for around 50,000, I think," Li Man said honestly.
"What?!" Huang Dehan was furious, his voice rising involuntarily, "You sold that diamond ring for fifty thousand?"
Riemann blinked and nodded, saying, "Yes, it sold for fifty thousand."
"Are you crazy? Who gave you permission to sell those things? I bought them with my own money, what right do you have to sell them?" Huang Dehan stood up angrily, pointed at Li Man, and shouted, "Go and redeem all those things for me right now!"
“I can’t redeem it!” Riemann said calmly. “How can I redeem something that’s already been sold?”
Huang Dehan was furious, his eyes filled with rage, and he raised his hand to slap Li Man.
Fortunately, Riemann reacted quickly and dodged to the side. Huang Dehan's slap missed, and he became even angrier. He wanted to pounce on Riemann again, but Riemann saw this and quickly jumped up from the sofa, holding up her phone and shouting, "I have Officer Chen's number. If you dare to hit me, I'll call him right now."
As she spoke, Riemann made a gesture as if she was about to make a phone call.
Huang Dehan, fearing the consequences, calmed down, but he was still very unwilling. He had originally intended to give the diamond ring to Xiaoxiao, but now Li Man had taken it and sold it.
"Where's the money from selling the goods? Hand it all over!"
Huang Dehan reached out to take money from Riemann.
The items are gone, but we must get our money back!
Riemann spread her hands and said, "That's all!"
"Gone?" Huang Dehan almost choked on his breath. "How could it be gone?"
"I bought insurance for your daughter and paid for it in full at once."
Even after paying the premium in one lump sum, there was still some money left. Li Man deposited the rest into her daughter's account.
Unless Huang Dehan specifically investigates, he will not discover this money.
Although Huang Dehan was very angry, he didn't say anything when he heard that the money had been used to buy insurance for his daughter. After all, he loved his daughter very much; otherwise, he wouldn't have spent so much money to send her to a prestigious school.
"I can handle that house; you can't interfere anymore!" Huang Dehan warned with a gloomy face.
