Chapter 549 Falling from the Building

Chapter 549 Falling from the Building

Huang Duoduo was already flustered, after all, it was her first time doing something like this. When she heard Zhang Yan call her, she was so frightened that she trembled, her hand slipped and she lost her grip on the rope, and she fell down.

"Duoduo!"

Seeing Huang Duoduo fall from above, Zhang Yan was terrified. She quickly ran up with open arms, trying to catch Huang Duoduo. But Huang Duoduo wasn't a child anymore; she was taller than Zhang Yan, and there was no way Zhang Yan, an old woman, could catch her.

With a scream of "Ah!" from Huang Duoduo, Zhang Yan was pinned down by Huang Duoduo.

The immense impact instantly rendered Zhang Yan unconscious, causing her to fall into a coma on the spot.

"Grandma, Grandma, are you alright?"

Huang Duoduo was terrified when she realized what was happening. She quickly stood up from Zhang Yan and cried out.

But no matter how much she cried and screamed, Zhang Yan did not respond.

It was as if he were dead.

Huang Duoduo was so frightened that she trembled all over and quickly took out her phone to call Li Man.

As soon as the call connected, she cried out, "Mommy, come back quickly, Grandma is dying..."

Upon hearing this, Li Man was so frightened that her hand went limp, and she almost dropped the phone. She quickly caught it and shouted excitedly, "What did you say? What happened to Grandma?"

"I fell down the stairs and landed on Grandma! Mom, come back quickly, I'm so scared... Waaah..."

Without blaming Huang Duoduo, Li Man quickly hung up the phone and dialed 911 for emergency medical assistance.

Without having time to explain things at the store, she ran out while making a phone call.

Huo Jiansheng brought her to work this morning.

She didn't drive.

So she ran all the way home.

Fortunately, the restaurant wasn't far from her home, and she ran home in less than ten minutes.

When she saw Zhang Yan lying unconscious on the ground, she was so frightened that she almost fainted.

She stumbled forward, threw herself on Zhang Yan, and cried out, "Mom, Mom, wake up, what's wrong, Mom..."

Huang Duoduo was so frightened that she didn't dare to breathe and squatted to the side wiping away her tears.

Seeing Zhang Yan's pale face, bleeding lips, and lack of response, Li Man reached out with trembling hands to check her breathing.

Sensing a faint breath still lingering, she wept with joy.

Just then, the ambulance arrived.

Several doctors got out of the car, carrying a stretcher.

After examining her, the doctor lifted Zhang Yan into the car.

Riemann quickly grabbed a doctor and asked in English, "Hello, how is my mother?"

The doctor replied, "Don't worry, she's not in any danger; she's just unconscious."

Upon hearing this, Riemann breathed a sigh of relief.

She quickly got into the ambulance.

Huang Duoduo quickly got into the car as well.

Riemann glanced at her and followed her.

Upon arriving at the hospital, Li Man asked Huang Duoduo to look after Zhang Yan while she went to complete the admission procedures.

After diagnosis, Zhang Yan was found to have fractures in both hands, a dislocated right kneecap, three of the four ligaments in her right leg were torn, and she suffered a mild concussion.

Looking at her grandmother lying in the hospital bed, Huang Duoduo felt extremely guilty.

Tears kept falling.

If Grandma really did die from being hit by something, she would never forgive herself for the rest of her life.

She will live with self-blame for the rest of her life.

Fortunately, Grandma didn't die.

That's wonderful!

After Li Man finished the formalities and returned, she didn't even look at Huang Duoduo, but went straight to the bedside and sat down.

The mother and daughter each sat on one side.

Seeing that Riemann was ignoring her, Huang Duoduo didn't dare to say anything.

She sat on the stool with her face pale and her head down.
