Chapter 607 No Appetite
"Since you don't want to get married, you should take precautions when you're together. Don't get pregnant, or you'll hurt your own bodies," Tan Xiyuan reminded her.
"Don't worry, we have always taken protective measures."
As soon as she finished speaking, Gu Ya suddenly remembered that she hadn't had her period this month.
However, she didn't think much of it, since they always took precautions.
As they were talking, Huo Jiansheng pushed open the door and walked in. Seeing Li Man slumped in her chair without any proper posture, he smiled indulgently and said, "Did you eat enough just now? If not, I'll have someone bring you some more food."
He knew that Riemann hadn't eaten enough because she only ate a few bites before going to offer a toast.
Feeling a warmth in her heart, Riemann replied, "Indeed, I haven't eaten enough yet."
"What would you like to eat? I'll have someone prepare it right away," Huo Jiansheng asked softly.
"I'd like something light to eat, could you make me some porridge?"
She's been eating lots of meat and fish these past few days, and she's getting tired of it.
"Okay! I'll have the kitchen make you a bowl of bird's nest porridge."
Riemann smiled sweetly and said, "Okay."
With a gentle smile on his lips, Huo Jiansheng looked at Tan Xiyuan and the others and asked, "Do you want some?"
Tan Xiyuan wasn't full either. It wasn't that the food was bad; on the contrary, it was too good. Lobster, abalone, and snowflake beef steak—she got tired of it after just a few bites.
She nodded. "Okay, get some for us too."
"OK!"
As soon as Huo Jiansheng stepped out of the lounge, Tan Xiyuan teased, "It's so sweet! Li Man, did you save the galaxy in your past life? How come you can meet such a good man in this life?"
Unable to suppress a smile, Li Man said, "Don't tease me. Xiao Shanjie is very good to you too."
"He can't compare to Huo Jiansheng's gentleness at all."
Tan Xiyuan pouted and said disdainfully.
“Really? Then I’ll tell him later that you said he wasn’t gentle enough,” Riemann said.
Upon hearing this, Tan Xiyuan immediately became anxious, "No, he's not actually unkind."
"Pfft... Haha..."
Upon hearing this, the group laughed.
After some laughter and commotion, the waiter brought in the bird's nest porridge.
The four of them then ate in the lounge.
Gu Ya hadn't eaten enough either. She wondered if it was because she was too tired these past few days, as she didn't seem to have much of an appetite.
She took a couple of bites, but couldn't eat anymore. She put down her spoon, pushed the bowl away, and said, "I'm not eating anymore, I have no appetite."
She was actually hungry, but she just couldn't eat.
Riemann asked with concern, "What would you like to eat? I'll have someone get it for you."
Gu Ya waved her hand, "No need, I can't eat. My mouth feels bland, and I have no appetite for anything."
Upon hearing this, Tan Xiyuan paused slightly in her movements, and looked up at Gu Ya, "You're not pregnant, are you?"
Thinking that she hadn't gotten her period yet this month, Gu Ya frowned and said somewhat uncertainly, "It shouldn't be, we've always taken precautions."
"Wear a condom or take the pill?" Tan Xiyuan asked.
Gu Ya said, "He wore a condom. Li Jun said that taking medicine was bad for his health, so he insisted on wearing a condom."
Tan Xiyuan said, "Even using a condom isn't safe. Have you gotten your period this month?"
“No!” Gu Ya shook her head, then added, “But my period is sometimes a few days late.”
Chen Xiaohui said, "Why don't we buy something to check? We'll know as soon as we test it."
Li Man chimed in, "Xiao Hui is right, let's buy something to test it."
Gu Ya thought it was impossible and frowned, saying, "It shouldn't be, right?"
Tan Xiyuan put down her spoon. "I'll go buy it for you. It's better to have it checked to put your mind at ease."
After saying that, Tan Xiyuan got up and walked out.
Gu Ya wanted to stop Tan Xiyuan, but Li Man and Chen Xiaohui insisted that Tan Xiyuan go, so Gu Ya let them have their way.
