Chapter 92 My daughter wants to travel to Thailand
For several days, Huang Dehan remained silent, his attitude towards Riemann neither warm nor cold. Life seemed to have returned to its original tranquility, as if nothing had happened.
However, Riemann knew that this was just a facade of calm, and Huang Dehan was definitely preparing a major move to deal with her.
On Friday evening, Huang Duoduo returned from school, and Huang Dehan unusually went home early.
In the living room, the father and daughter were chatting about something, their laughter occasionally drifting out.
Riemann was cooking in the kitchen when she heard the two laughing, and a sudden wave of irritation washed over her.
Suddenly, Huang Duoduo ran in excitedly, "Mom, Dad said he'll take us to Thailand when I have my vacation."
"Smack—"
Riemann's hand trembled, and the porcelain bowl slipped from her grasp, shattering on the ground.
"Mom, what's wrong? Don't you want to go to Thailand?" Huang Duoduo asked, looking at Li Man with a puzzled expression.
Looking into her daughter's innocent eyes, Li Man smiled bitterly and squatted down to pick up the broken pieces.
"Mom, don't pick it up with your hands, you'll hurt your hands. Wait a minute, I'll go get a broom to sweep it up."
Huang Duoduo brought a dustpan and a broom and swept up the debris on the ground.
"Do you really want to go to Thailand?" Riemann asked her daughter.
"Yes!" Huang Duoduo grinned excitedly. "I've never been abroad before. I've heard that Thailand has a lot of ladyboys, and they're very beautiful. I want to go and see what's different about ladyboys compared to us."
"Was it you who suggested going to Thailand, or was it your father?" Riemann asked again.
"It's Daddy." Huang Duoduo frowned. "Mom, you seem unhappy. Don't you want to go to Thailand?"
It wasn't that she didn't want to go to Thailand, but that she didn't want to go with Huang Dehan. Once they were abroad, it seemed easy for him to do whatever he wanted to her, including killing her!
Thinking of this, Riemann couldn't help but shudder.
“You and Dad can go. Mom has to go to work, so she won’t go,” Li Man said, turning on the gas stove and starting to cook.
Upon hearing this, Huang Duoduo's face fell. "Mom, please take the day off. It's a rare opportunity for our family to go out and have fun. Don't be such a spoilsport, okay?"
“You and Dad can still have a lot of fun even if Mom doesn’t go,” Li Man said while cooking.
"No, Mom, please come with us, please, I'm begging you," Huang Duoduo pleaded, clasping her hands together.
"Mom really doesn't want to go."
"Why don't you want to go? Have you ever been to Thailand?"
Riemann shook her head. "No."
“You’ve never been before, why don’t you want to go?” Huang Duoduo said sadly, “Don’t you want to go with us, Mom? Do you really want to divorce Dad?”
Seeing her daughter's tearful expression, Li Man's heart softened, and she gently coaxed her, "No, don't think too much, Mommy just has to go to work."
“We rarely get to go out, can’t you ask for leave?” Huang Duoduo’s eyes welled up with tears, and she was on the verge of sobbing.
Riemann was exasperated. "Can't we just travel within the country? Why do we have to go abroad? Thailand is too far away."
"But I've never been abroad before. It's rare for Dad to take us out to play. Mom, I've never been out to play as a family of three before. I really want to go to Thailand."
Previously, Riemann had to take care of her bedridden mother-in-law, so they had never gone on a trip.
But she also knew that traveling to Thailand was fraught with danger.
However, as long as I'm careful, nothing should happen.
Riemann didn't want to disappoint her daughter, so she finally agreed.
