Chapter 286 Li Liangsheng is gone
Li Liangsheng lay on the bed with his eyes closed.
His face was sallow, his cheeks were sunken, and his brows were tightly furrowed, as if he were enduring great pain.
Riemann's nose tingled, and her eyes welled up with tears of sorrow. She stepped forward and softly called out, "Dad!"
Li Liangsheng's eyelids twitched, then he slowly opened his eyes and said weakly, "Manman, you're back?"
Riemann sat down on the edge of the bed, gently holding her father's withered hand. Tears streamed down her face as she choked out, "Dad, I'm back. Please don't go."
Riemann lay down, pressed her cheek against her father's hand, and couldn't help but sob.
"Silly child, why are you crying? Everyone has to die eventually."
Riemann shook her head, "No, I don't want you to die, no..."
"I'm leaving. Take good care of your mother..."
Li Man nodded quickly: "Dad, don't worry, I will definitely take good care of Mom."
"You should also take good care of yourself and not overwork yourself."
"I will, Dad."
"Dad left you a dowry, but I never had the chance to give it to you. Not being able to see you in your wedding dress is the biggest regret of my life."
Riemann's tears streamed down her face uncontrollably as she cried, "Dad, wait for me. I'll go put on my wedding dress and show it to you right now, okay?"
As she spoke, Riemann was about to get up.
“No need.” Li Liangsheng took Li Man’s hand and said, “Dad is afraid he can’t wait that long. Sit down and have a good talk with Dad for a while.”
Li Man quickly sat down again: "Dad, is there anything you'd like to eat? I'll ask Mom to get it."
"No need, Dad can't eat anymore."
Riemann was heartbroken, and tears streamed down her face, dripping onto the back of Li Liangsheng's hand.
"Don't cry, Manman. Be happy from now on."
Riemann nodded. "I will, Dad."
After chatting with Li Man for a while, Li Liangsheng said, "Go and call your mother in. I also have something to say to her."
"good!"
Riemann stood up and went out to let her mother in.
Just then, Li Man's phone rang; it was Huo Jiansheng calling.
"Riemann, send me your home address, hurry up, I've arrived."
"OK!"
Li Man didn't expect Huo Jiansheng to act so quickly, so she immediately sent him her location.
Half an hour later, Huo Jiansheng arrived.
He brought Xinyu with him.
"Luckily, I made it in time," Huo Jiansheng said.
When Huang Duoduo saw Xinyu, a hint of hostility flashed in her eyes.
Xinyu also saw Huang Duoduo and nodded to her.
"Xinyu, would you like to come in with me to see Grandpa in a little while?" Li Man asked, holding Xinyu's hand.
“Okay!” Xin Yu replied crisply.
"Mom, I want to go in and see Grandpa too," Huang Duoduo pleaded, not wanting to be left out.
Riemann hesitated for a moment, then said, "Let's all go in together."
At this time, Li Liangsheng was already half-conscious. Zhang Yan had just helped him change into his burial clothes.
Pushing open the door, Xinyu called out, "Grandpa, I've come to see you."
Li Liangsheng struggled to open his eyelids, tugged at the corners of his mouth, and then slowly closed them again.
His hand also fell down.
"dad……"
Riemann's tears fell, and she rushed forward, crying her heart out.
Zhang Yan covered her mouth in anguish and began to sob.
Li Liangsheng is gone.
Overwhelmed with grief, Zhang Yan fainted.
Fortunately, Huo Jiansheng was there, otherwise Li Man really wouldn't know what to do.
