Chapter 36 Treating You to Dinner
Riemann was overjoyed to have found a job and shared the good news in her group of four friends:
"Sisters, I have great news to tell you, I finally found a job."
Gu Ya: Congratulations! This is indeed good news and worth celebrating.
Tan Xiyuan: "Congratulations! Congratulations! You found a job, aren't you going to treat us to a celebration?"
Chen Xiaohui: "Treat us! Treat us!"
Riemann: "No problem, it's no trouble at all. See you at our usual place tonight."
Gu Ya: Sprinkle flowers.
Tan Xiyuan: Kiss.
Chen Xiaohui: Happy!

Evening, at a hot pot restaurant.
"Come on, cheers! May Liman find a job and start a brand new life!" Gu Ya raised her glass and shouted.
"Cheers! May Li Man achieve great success in her work and become an economically independent woman of the new era!" Tan Xiyuan said, raising her glass.
"I wish Riemann a speedy escape from that scumbag, and that the next one will be even better!" Chen Xiaohui said, raising her glass.
"bite!"
The four wine glasses clinked together with a crisp sound.
All four faces were beaming with happy smiles.
The four of them downed their drinks in one gulp.
However, since Gu Ya was pregnant, her wine glass contained juice instead of alcohol.
Riemann wiped his mouth, put down his wine glass, and said with emotion, "I'm so happy to finally have a job. It's been almost ten years since I've had a job."
"Ten years have passed. Time flies. Before we knew it, we'd all grown old," Chen Xiaohui said with emotion.
“Old? I haven’t even had a child yet, how am I old!” Tan Xiyuan retorted defiantly.
"Xi Yuan, why don't you find a surrogate?" Gu Ya suggested.
Tan Xiyuan shook her head. "I mentioned it to him, but he was unwilling."
"So what is he saying now?" Chen Xiaohui asked.
“What else can I say? He said to let nature take its course. If it doesn’t work out, it doesn’t work out. When we get old, the two of us will just live in a nursing home,” Tan Xiyuan said dejectedly.
“He’s not in a hurry, so why are you? If you don’t have children, you don’t have children. Some people don’t even want children. Not having children means fewer worries,” Chen Xiaohui comforted her.
“Yes, don’t overthink it. Relax and maybe the baby will come on its own someday,” Li Man added, trying to comfort her.
"I hope so. Alright, stop talking about me. How have you been lately? How's Huang Dehan doing?" Tan Xiyuan asked Li Man.
Li Man picked up a piece of beef and put it into the pot, saying as she cooked it, "The two of them have fallen out. Huang Dehan told me to sue San'er and get back the house and valuables he bought for her."
"My God!" Tan Xiyuan gasped. "Is Huang Dehan trying to get something for free?"
Everyone laughed at that remark.
Gu Ya said, "Isn't your focus off-target? That scumbag Huang Dehan actually gave a house to his mistress. I really regret not letting him get AIDS. A man like that should just die!"
“However, Li Man, you are really ruthless to let Huang Dehan get that kind of disease. I admire you to the core!” Tan Xiyuan said.
"What's so cruel about that? It's kind of you not to kill a scumbag like him. He doesn't deserve to live at all," Chen Xiaohui said angrily.
Li Man said with a smile, "I didn't expect the two of them to fall out. It's a bit unexpected. I thought Huang Dehan truly loved San'er."
"What kind of true love do scumbags have? They love themselves the most," Chen Xiaohui said, pursing her lips.
Gu Ya nodded and said, "Xiao Hui is right. So women, stop fantasizing about love all day long. In this world, the most reliable thing is money, and the most unreliable thing is people's hearts, especially men's hearts, which can change in an instant."
Chen Xiaohui quickly corrected, "You can't generalize. I was talking about scumbags. There are some men who are actually quite good, like my husband. He's very good to me, and even better to my daughter than to me."
Tan Xiyuan chimed in, "My husband Lu Feng is also quite good. He's very considerate to me, and although I can't have children, he hasn't said anything about it."
