Chapter 102 Thorough Investigation
When Su Wenyan arrived at the study, he realized that something was off about the atmosphere.
He glanced at Su Wenzhen, then at the silent Jiang Hai, and asked with a grin, "What's wrong, Your Majesty and Brother Jiang? It seems like you just had a fight." His brother and Jiang Hai really had a fight? He didn't believe it!
Su Wenzhen snapped out of his reverie, glanced at Su Wenyan indifferently, and said in a deep voice, "No."
"Seeing you two like this, it's as if you have a deep-seated grudge." Su Wenyan squinted and sat down to the side. He said with a smile, "Why did you call me here but not say anything? What are you doing just standing here?"
"Are you in a hurry?" Su Wenzhen stepped forward and sat down gently next to Su Wenyan. He glanced at Su Wenyan. "Are you in a rush to take care of something?"
"Brother, what are you saying?" Su Wenyan glanced at Su Wenzhen with some displeasure, then said, "I'm not in a hurry to do anything, I'm just afraid you'll be anxious! You're always clinging to Sister-in-law whenever you see her, but now that she's in trouble, why aren't you with her? Why are you calling us two men to the study for a heart-to-heart talk?" As he spoke, he looked at Jiang Hai, "Jiang Hai, don't you think so?"
Jiang Hai was taken aback. He looked at Su Wenyan, but couldn't very well not nod. He then looked at Su Wenzhen beside him, but still couldn't nod. So he pretended not to hear and sat opposite the two brothers without saying a word.
“I never thought you were so talkative before.” Su Wenzhen raised an eyebrow and glanced at Su Wenyan. “Where did you learn this personality from?”
Hearing the teasing tone in Su Wenzhen's words, Su Wenyan became somewhat displeased. He glanced at Su Wenzhen and said angrily, "Brother, what do you want with me? If there's nothing else, I'm leaving now! I want to go see Cui'er!"
"Nonsense!" Upon hearing Su Wenyan mention Cui'er's name, Su Wenzhen became anxious and quickly grabbed Su Wenyan's sleeve. "Who gave you permission to go!"
Su Wenyan was taken aback, looking at Su Wenzhen with some confusion, "Second brother, what do you mean by this?"
“I…” Su Wenzhen was taken aback, then realized that his behavior was a bit too extreme. He quickly withdrew his hand, his eyes flickering. “Your sister-in-law has gone to Cui’er’s room. You’d better not disturb them.”
"Really?" Su Wenyan looked at Su Wenzhen, puzzled. What was wrong with his elder brother today? He'd never seen him in such a hurry before. After a pause, he looked at Su Wenzhen again, "When did my sister-in-law go there?"
“It’s been a while,” Jiang Hai interjected, glancing at Su Wenzhen. “Fourth Prince, don’t be surprised. The Prince has always kept a close eye on the Princess, so his haste is understandable.”
“That’s true.” Su Wenyan smiled mischievously at Su Wenzhen. “Second brother is also very lucky. If Cui’er could marry me, I would treat her just as well.”
As soon as Su Wenyan finished speaking, the temperature in the study immediately dropped a few degrees.
Seeing that the two people in the room had suddenly fallen silent, Su Wenyan was taken aback and looked at them blankly. "What's wrong with you two? Why aren't you saying anything?"

Su Wenyan frowned, looked at Su Wenzhen, and after a long while said, "Second Brother, don't make wild guesses..."

"Greetings, sir." Su Wenzhen returned the bow, then looked up at the eunuch. "May I ask what business you have with me, sir?"
"His Majesty just gave the order." The eunuch paused, then took out a jade pendant from his sleeve. "His Majesty said that you are in full charge of the assassination attempt. You only need to tell him the result."
Su Wenzhen was stunned. When he came to his senses, he found that the eunuch had already disappeared, leaving only the cold jade pendant in his hand.
The ministers nearby had also heard the eunuch's words. They looked at Su Wenxuan with some surprise before regaining their composure. "Then please, Your Highness, refrain from speaking rashly." Su Wenzhen glanced at Su Wenxuan and chuckled, "You should know that the more you talk, the easier it is to make a mistake!"
"You!" Su Wenxuan clenched his fists tightly, but seeing that all the important officials were around, he could not lose his temper and had to swallow his anger.
Seeing Su Wenzhen's aggrieved expression, Su Wenzhen found it amusing. After a pause, he looked around at the people, "Now that Father's health is not as good as before, no one knows..."
