Chapter 22 Poolside Farce
Even though Ye Wan Ning wanted to take a proper walk, her wish was ultimately thwarted. She hadn't gone far into the garden when she heard a scream, followed by a heart-wrenching cry for help: "Help! Help! Quick, save the Second Miss! The Second Miss has fallen into the pond!"
Upon hearing this shout, Madam Ye felt a sudden darkness engulf her.
"Auntie!" Ye Wanning reached out to support the swaying Madam Ye. Had Ye Wanyi fallen into the pond? She couldn't help but frown.
Madam Ye snapped out of her daze, her voice choked with emotion. She looked at Ye Wanning, her eyes moist, "Wanning, Wanyi...she..."
"Don't worry, Auntie." Ye Wanning looked at her. After all, she was a model youth who grew up under the glory of the five-star red flag. Although Ye Wanyi hadn't treated her well in the past, Ye Wanning still chose to repay evil with kindness in this situation. She frowned and said, "Let's go and see what's going on first. Second Sister will be fine!"

She was about to say something when she suddenly realized something was amiss. The branches the maids held were too thin; even if they were extended to Ye Wanyi, they would break easily with the slightest force. What was even stranger was that no one had run out to call for help after Ye Wanyi fell into the water… They were just extending branches a couple of times and letting out a few shouts. Who were they trying to impress? Ye Wanning sneered. They weren't even going to finish the act. She glanced at Ye Wanyi, who was struggling in the water, with amusement. Her sister had certainly made a big sacrifice today, but she wondered what her purpose was!
"Madam, Miss...please save Second Miss!" Upon seeing someone approaching, the maid who seemed to be the leader immediately dropped the branch in her hand and knelt down in front of Ye Wanning and the others with a "thump." She looked at Ye Wanning with teary eyes, "Third Miss, please save Second Miss!"
"You don't even want the branches anymore?" Ye Wanning sneered. This acting is really something… She looked at the kneeling maid, her eyes darkening, and feigned surprise. "After this incident, instead of calling for help for Second Sister, why are you kneeling here before me! I can't swim!" At this point, Ye Wanning sobbed twice. "Hurry up and call for help! If anything happens to Second Sister, I'll make you regret it!"
Upon hearing this, the maid was stunned. She turned to look at Su Wenyan and kowtowed repeatedly, pleading, "Fourth Prince, please! Please! Please save my Second Miss!"
Seeing that the maid didn't call for help and even threw away the branch she was holding, Su Wenyan knew something was amiss. Who knew if this second young lady could swim? Two shrill screams suddenly rang out from the garden of the Prime Minister's residence. Ye Wanning was seen holding Madam Ye's hand, her whole body suspended in mid-air on the surface of the pond, while Madam Ye was being held tightly by the maids behind her.
Ye Wanning was stunned, her face turning bright red. "Help...help..." Just as she was about to say something, Ye Wanning felt her ankle being grabbed suddenly, and a strong force pulled her towards the water. She looked down in horror, but she didn't know when Ye Wanyi had run to the shore and was holding her ankle tightly, refusing to let go.
Ye Wanyi gripped Ye Wanning's feet, finally able to breathe fresh air. She gasped for breath, her eyes blurry with tears as she looked at Ye Wanning, "Wanning...save...save...save..."
Seeing Ye Wanyi's soaking wet appearance, Ye Wanning inexplicably thought of the water ghost, and her heart skipped a beat. Before she could finish speaking, she screamed, "Help! Ghost!" As she screamed, Ye Wanning kicked downwards. With a muffled groan, Ye Wanning felt her footing give way and immediately climbed up using the hand offered to her. Once ashore, Ye Wanning was still somewhat shaken. "I was so scared! I thought I'd seen a ghost!" she said, glancing back at the pool with lingering fear.
"Your Highness, Your Highness..." Seeing Ye Wanning safely ashore, Cui'er's eyes reddened slightly. She was about to step forward to check if her young mistress had any scratches when a dark figure darted in front of her. Looking at the two embracing in front of her, Cui'er couldn't help but feel a little melancholy. This prince's speed was a bit too fast...

He slowly walked up to Ye Wanyi, "Second Miss, are you alright?"
Ye Wanyi didn't look up. She clearly remembered the scene in the main hall earlier and knew that the Fourth Prince's visit was definitely not just to offer words of comfort. "It's alright," Ye Wanyi said, her voice somewhat cold.
"Oh?" Su Wenyan raised an eyebrow and smiled. "Miss, you'd better go back to your room as soon as possible and change into some dry clothes to avoid catching a cold!"
Seeing that Su Wenyan showed no sign of sarcasm, Ye Wanyi was somewhat surprised. She looked up at Su Wenyan and found him smiling at her. Her face flushed. "Thank you for your concern, Fourth Prince."
