Chapter 29 Don't go to that kind of place

On this day, a strange scene appeared in Duyang City. Two handsome young men appeared out of nowhere, causing the girls in the city to flutter their hearts and exchange flirtatious glances, making quite a scene.

Cui'er awkwardly tugged at her clothes, then secretly glanced at Ye Wanning, who was laughing and joking with the girls. "Sister...we..."

Ye Wanning smiled as she interacted with the girls, whispering, "Call him cousin." She waved to the girls not far away, "What's up?"

Cui'er looked at Ye Wanning with a somewhat aggrieved expression, and after thinking for a long time, she said, "These clothes are uncomfortable to wear..."

Ye Wanning glanced at Cui'er helplessly, "Stop fooling around. Things are settled today. What kind of clothes do you want?"

Cui'er lowered her head in frustration. What was all this about? She clearly meant to say "go back"... how did she end up saying something like this? She angrily pounded her head. If Granny Sun knew that she and her mistress had gone to such a place, she would definitely scold her to death. No way! Cui'er paused and immediately stopped in her tracks. She absolutely couldn't go along with her mistress's wishes!

Seeing Cui'er suddenly stop, Ye Wanning was startled and turned to look at her in confusion: "Cui'er, what's wrong with you?"

"We..." Cui'er blushed, as if she had mustered up her courage, and stammered, "We...we...we can't go to that kind of place!"

Ye Wanning rolled her eyes, grabbed Cui'er who was about to walk back, and said, "Since we're already here, why don't we just get things done before we leave? Wouldn't that make things easier?"

"But..." Cui'er said, struggling, "That's not a place we should go..."

"What do you mean by 'should' or 'shouldn't'!" Ye Wanning turned around and glared fiercely at Cui'er. "If you keep nagging, I'll find someone to marry you off when we get back!"

Cui'er choked, giving Ye Wanning a wronged look, "I know..."

Having settled things with Cui'er, Ye Wanning strolled leisurely down the street, fanning herself lightly. It had been a long time since she'd gone out to explore. Ye Wanning glanced at the trinkets on the street, thinking that she should take Cui'er out for a walk another day to buy some trinkets, making things more interesting at home. Thinking of Cui'er, Ye Wanning turned her head and saw the girl pouting, looking aggrieved, following behind her. She couldn't help but find it amusing. She closed her fan and gently tapped Cui'er on the head, "What are you thinking about?"

"No..." Cui'er came to her senses, touched her head, and said with some resentment, "I already said I went with you, why did you hit me?"

Ye Wanning pursed her lips and chuckled, "Look!" She pointed to a spot not far away where a girl was blushing and looking this way. "My Cui'er is really something. Dressed as a man, she can attract so many girls. It's a good thing she's not a man, otherwise she would definitely be a menace."

Hearing this, Cui'er blushed. "If you tease me again, I'll... I'll not go with you!"

Ye Wanning chuckled, "Alright, enough fooling around." Then she stopped and pointed to a shop not far away, saying, "Look, we're here!"

Cui'er followed Ye Wanning's hand and saw a plaque with the three large, gilded characters "Yichun Courtyard" hanging above the shop entrance. Outside, several exquisitely made-up girls were seeing off customers, their every move exuding charm. And the clothes they wore... Cui'er blushed and hurriedly covered her eyes. "Sister...we...we...do we really have to go in?"

"I already told you to call him cousin!" Ye Wanning raised an eyebrow and flicked her sleeve. "What are we doing standing here if we're not going in? Let's go!"

As soon as they entered the shop, Cui'er started clamoring to leave. She looked around at the male customers and girls and couldn't help but frown. "Cousin... let's go... if Granny Sun finds out... she'll definitely scold us to death."

"Sigh..." Ye Wanning shook her head. Everyone says that the first place you should visit after transmigrating is a brothel. She'd finally managed to come all this way, and she didn't know if she'd have another chance. How could she go back so soon? She looked around; it was indeed a place of pleasure...

"Are you young masters new to Duyang City? Are you unfamiliar faces?" A woman who looked like a madam suddenly appeared beside Ye Wanning and her companions.

Ye Wanning was taken aback. A strong scent of perfume wafted over, making her feel a little uncomfortable. She then smiled and bowed to the madam, lowering her voice to say, "Mother is right. My cousin and I are new here, so we would appreciate it if you could introduce us to you."

The madam smiled and, seeing that Ye Wanning and Cui'er were dressed like wealthy young masters, asked, "May I ask your honorable surname, sir?"

"My surname is Ye." Ye Wanning smiled. "I wonder if Mother has any famous people here? You must call them out so my cousin and I can see them."

Hearing this, the madam laughed loudly, "If we're talking about celebrities, then you gentlemen have truly come to the right place!" She subtly sized up Ye Wanning and Cui'er. Although Young Master Ye was quick-witted, he clearly hadn't been to such a place before; he couldn't even stand the smell of rouge. Looking at the person behind him, her face was flushed red, clearly not as red as Young Master Ye's. She smiled, "Our Yichun Courtyard does indeed have a rare fairy among us!"

"Oh?" Ye Wanning raised an eyebrow and looked at the madam. "Then, I'll have to trouble you, Madam."

"No need for such trouble," the madam chuckled. "But as you know, young master, this fairy has quite a high opinion of herself..."

“None of that is a problem.” Ye Wanning immediately interrupted the madam, handed her a piece of gold, and said, “I wonder if this is enough?”

"Enough, enough!" the madam chuckled, her eyes gleaming with gold, and raised her hand, saying, "Young masters, please follow me!"

Upon reaching the second floor, as she passed through other rooms, she inevitably heard some strange noises. Ye Wanning coughed awkwardly twice and turned her head to find that Cui'er's face was already as red as a tomato.

The madam noticed the strange sight behind her, turned around, and whispered jokingly, "Young master, is this your first time here?"

Ye Wanning was taken aback, glanced at the madam, and said coldly, "Just do your job, don't ask so many questions." It's her first time here, so what!

The madam scoffed, "Quite the temper." She swayed to the end of the corridor and stopped at a private room. Turning her head, she glanced at Ye Wanning and the others. "Young master, this is it." She then knocked on the door. "Peony, we have distinguished guests!" She looked at Ye Wanning. "Young master, please come in!"

"It's called Peony?" Ye Wanning was taken aback. It was indeed a straightforward name... She pushed open the door and stepped inside. The room was filled with a light and delicate fragrance, which was much more comfortable than the vulgar scent of cosmetics. She looked around and saw that the unique decor was not luxurious, but rather a delicate little residence.

A noise came from the inner room, and Ye Wanning's eyes lit up. A girl dressed in white, as white as snow, slowly walked out. "Greetings, young master."
