Chapter 34 House Arrest
After being led to the bedchamber, Ye Wanning realized that she had no close relatives by her side. She frowned. She had rushed out and, seeing that it was getting late, had left Cui'er at the mansion. But then she thought that it was for the best. She didn't know when they would be able to go back, and someone at the mansion would be there to look after them. Besides, if something really happened, it would be good to be spared from harm. Thinking of this, Ye Wanning couldn't help but let out a long sigh.
Turning her head, she saw a palace maid tidying up her things. She composed herself and asked softly, "What's your name?"

“Wenzhen is unruly and mischievous, I’m afraid he has bothered you, sir.” Ye Wanning smiled, then took a purse from her waist and handed it to the eunuch. “I still want to thank you for taking Wenzhen to find something to eat. Consider this a small token of my gratitude for your help.”
"Your Highness is too kind to say that." The eunuch smiled. "You are the master, and I am the servant. There is no need for me to bother you. I am still relying on the Prince and Princess's care!" As he spoke, he took the purse. "This servant thanks Your Highness."
Ye Wanning pursed her lips and smiled, "Alright, it's getting late, you can leave now!"

Leading Su Wenzhen into the bedchamber, Ye Wanning felt a surge of annoyance upon seeing Qiu Shan standing to the side. The eunuch had probably sent Su Wenzhen here to prevent him from discovering their purpose for coming today!
