Chapter 51 Ancient Style Belly Dance
Ye Wanning stood up and walked towards the center. Looking at the expectant eyes of the people around her, she couldn't help but feel guilty.
Seeing Ye Wanning's evasive look, Cui'er thought that her young mistress was shy, so she immediately clenched her fists and silently cheered Ye Wanning on.
Seeing Cui'er's excited appearance, Ye Wanning couldn't help but feel annoyed. Usually, the two of them were very in sync, so why was she like this today... She sighed helplessly and shook her head.
Su Wenxuan smiled and said, "Does your sister-in-law need some accompaniment? Wenyan plays the flute quite well."
Upon hearing Su Wenyan mention him, Su Wenyan immediately chimed in, smiling at Ye Wanning, "What elder brother says is true. How about I accompany you, sister-in-law?"
"No need!" Ye Wanning was startled when she heard them say that, and loudly refused. While playing the flute and doing a belly dance, Ye Wanning was a little embarrassed. She really couldn't imagine that scene.
After a pause, seeing the puzzled looks from those around her, Ye Wanning smiled and said, "I choreographed this dance myself, but I haven't found a good accompaniment yet, so it's probably unnecessary."
Without giving anyone else a chance to say anything, Ye Wanning stood still and shouted in a strong voice, "I'm starting!"
Angle your hips, tuck in your waist, lift your buttocks, raise your arms, and draw the figure "8" in one smooth motion!
Ye Wanning twisted her whole body with abandon, as if she had returned to the days when she practiced dancing, full of enthusiasm and vigor.
Since it was the transition between spring and summer, she wasn't wearing much, and her sexy and charming dance made her figure look exceptionally alluring. Her beautiful face and graceful dance captivated everyone's attention, making their eyes follow her every move, unwilling to look away for even a moment.
One pair of snake-like arms, one shaking hips—a perfect ending!
After the dance ended, Ye Wanning stood there, slightly out of breath.
Composing herself, she looked up and saw the amazed looks on others' faces. A touch of pride welled up within her; although she hadn't learned the dance for long, she had performed it exceptionally well! She raised an eyebrow. "I haven't disappointed everyone, have I?"
Unexpectedly, Ye Wanning's response was silence.
Ye Wanning was a little confused and was about to ask something when Cui'er, her face flushed, pulled her aside and whispered, "Sister, what were you dancing just now...?"
"Huh?" Ye Wanning was taken aback and asked, somewhat puzzled, "What's wrong?"
She turned her head and realized that everyone was whispering. The amazement she had just felt was only momentary. Ye Wanning was a little confused. Had she... done something wrong?
Cui'er blushed and whispered, "How can a young lady like you dance like that... If others see it, they might think..."
Upon hearing Cui'er's words, Ye Wanning immediately realized—oh no! She had completely forgotten that this was ancient times! Although the Chu Kingdom was known for its open-mindedness, it couldn't possibly tolerate such unrestrained passion...
She swallowed hard, looking around at the people around her with a guilty conscience.
Su Wenyan stood not far away, watching Ye Wanning with some surprise. When his sister-in-law first started moving, Su Wenyan felt something was off; it didn't seem like a common dance. But once she officially began, Su Wenyan regretted it. Sure enough! He couldn't think of his sister-in-law with normal human thinking!
He angrily pounded his head, but felt the air pressure around him getting lower and lower. He turned his head and saw Su Wenzhen with a dark face, head down, seemingly lost in thought.
Su Wenyan's heart skipped a beat. He was the one who suggested dancing; his second brother wouldn't...
Perhaps sensing that someone was watching him, Su Wenzhen raised his head, glanced at Su Wenyan casually, and then lowered his head again.
Su Wenyan slumped onto the table, on the verge of tears. Good heavens! Every time his elder brother made that face, it meant he was angry. He was doomed! That henpecked brother of his would tear him apart!
He glanced resentfully at Ye Wanning not far away; his sister-in-law was truly her nemesis!
Perhaps feeling the awkward silence had lasted too long, Su Wenlan cleared his throat and said, "Sister-in-law, what a beautiful dance..."
"Such passionate and unrestrained dance moves do have some of the charm of women from our Qiang Kingdom!" Su Wenliang raised his wine glass and glanced at Ye Wanning lightly. "If you didn't know better, you'd think she was from our Qiang Kingdom!"
"Hehe." Ye Wanning chuckled awkwardly, and seeing that there was a way out, she immediately replied, "Actually, I'm quite curious about the culture of the Qiang Kingdom. I've been researching the Qiang Kingdom recently, so I choreographed this dance."
"Oh?" Su Wenliang drawled, his voice unusually languid. "It's such a pity that my sister-in-law married my second brother. She'd be better off with me..."
"Wenliang!" Realizing what Su Wenliang was about to say, Su Wenliang immediately interrupted him sharply, frowning. "You've had too much to drink."
Su Wenliang raised an eyebrow, but didn't reply. He just gave Su Wenzhen a somewhat provocative look.
Even the most obtuse person would understand the meaning behind their words. Ye Wanning's face turned cold, she bowed to Su Wenzhen, and strode towards him. What a good younger brother he really is!
They all roughly understood Su Wenliang's unspoken meaning, and the atmosphere became awkward.
Su Wenliang didn't mind at all. He just stretched and smiled shamelessly, "Your Majesty is right. I'm afraid I'm drunk. I'll have to trouble Your Majesty to stay here for the night."
Ye Wanning smiled, her eyes revealing no emotion. "It's no trouble at all. If Third Brother doesn't mind, please stay here!"
After this commotion, everyone lost their appetite and dispersed.
Ye Wanning held Su Wenzhen's hand, her eyes somewhat vacant, lost in thought.
"Wife..." Su Wenzhen glanced at her and called out in a slightly coquettish tone.
"Huh?" Ye Wanning came back to her senses and looked at the tall man beside her. Speaking of which, the four princes of Chu each had their own characteristics. The crown prince was refined, the third prince was forthright, and the fourth prince was effeminate. However, she couldn't quite figure out Wen Zhen. She smiled and raised her eyebrows: "What's wrong?"
Su Wenzhen shook Ye Wanning's hand and said in a slightly coquettish tone, "How about I sleep with my fourth brother tonight?"
Ye Wanning was taken aback and looked at Su Wenzhen with some confusion. This guy... why does he always want to sleep with Su Wenyan? He doesn't want a soft and warm woman in his arms... why does he like to stick to a grown man?
As if suddenly realizing something terrible, Ye Wanning's expression turned somewhat unpleasant. Could these two be...? She said with some difficulty, "Wenzhen... do you really dislike being with me that much...?"
"No!" Su Wenzhen waved his hands repeatedly to explain, "Today..." He looked at Ye Wanning somewhat shyly and said, "Just now, my fourth brother taught me how to become stronger so that I can protect my wife..."
Protect... her... Ye Wanning was taken aback, a strange emotion welling up inside her. She gently touched Su Wenzhen's face, "Okay, go ahead!"
Su Wenzhen smiled and happily hugged Ye Wanning. "Yay! My wife is the best!"
Ye Wanning smiled helplessly. She looked at Cui'er, who was standing aside and secretly laughing, and said softly, "Cui'er, why don't you take Wenzhen there? It's getting late, and I'm afraid he'll fall."
Cui'er was taken aback, "But sister, you..."
"It's alright." Ye Wanning waved her hand. "It's not far from my room, you can go ahead."
Cui'er nodded and left with Su Wenzhen.
Seeing the two figures leave, Ye Wanning felt relieved. Just as she was about to head back to her room, she suddenly saw a dark figure appear not far away. Ye Wanning was startled. Could she be so unlucky?
She composed herself and asked somewhat cautiously, "Who?"
