Chapter 64 The Old Man's Prophecy
Su Wenzhen threw Ye Wanning onto the bed, making her back ache. Ye Wanning rubbed her back and said irritably, "Are you trying to kill yourself? Why did you hit me so hard!"
Su Wenzhen did not reply, but instead stared at Ye Wanning with a meaningful look in his eyes.
Being stared at for so long made Ye Wanning feel uneasy. She licked her dry lips nervously, her voice becoming unsteady, "You... what are you going to do..."
"What am I going to do?" Su Wenzhen deliberately dragged out the last syllable, his voice becoming even more seductive. He looked at Ye Wanning, slowly climbing onto the bed, his eyes deep and unfathomable. "My wife, guess what I'm going to do?"
The more Su Wenzhen acted this way, the more uneasy Ye Wanning felt. She subconsciously shrank back and said nervously, "I... how would I know what you're planning to do..."
Su Wenzhen didn't reply, but instead moved closer and closer to Ye Wanning. Ye Wanning's heart skipped a beat, and countless thoughts flashed through her mind, ultimately settling on a strange and awkward word: Could it be that he wanted to...
Ye Wanning blushed and waved her hands, "No, no, I don't want to!"
Seeing Ye Wanning like this for the first time, Su Wenzhen found it amusing. He stopped what he was doing, sat down beside her, and looked at her with a playful glint in his eyes. "What does my wife not want?"
"Me!" Ye Wanning suddenly raised her head, only to find that Su Wenzhen was still far away from her. Remembering what she had just thought of, Ye Wanning was extremely embarrassed and choked up, unable to speak for a moment.
Su Wenzhen leaned closer, his voice unusually seductive, "What were you thinking about just now, my wife, hmm?"
Su Wenzhen's deliberate provocation left Ye Wanning completely defenseless. Her face flushed crimson, almost bleeding, and after thinking for a long time, she couldn't find any words to refute him. Ye Wanning couldn't help but feel annoyed. She gasped, her eyes reddening, and her voice trembling with tears, "You're bullying me..."
Su Wenzhen was taken aback, not expecting Ye Wanning to pull this stunt. He was flustered and hurriedly crawled to Ye Wanning's side, gently comforting her, "Wife... don't cry, I was wrong, I'll never say that again..."
Ye Wanning bit her lip and didn't say anything, looking dejected.
Su Wenzhen's heart tightened, and after a long while, he finally spoke, "Wife..."
Ye Wanning gave a soft hum and remained silent, instead turning over and lying down on her side. "Go to sleep!"
Su Wenzhen smiled and slowly lay down next to Ye Wanning. Sensing movement beside him, he immediately shrank back. "What are you doing?"
"Let's go to sleep," Su Wenzhen chuckled, reaching out his right hand to pull Ye Wanning into his arms. "Let's sleep together, my wife."
Ye Wanning frowned and tried to push away the hand on her waist, but it had no effect. Frustrated, she patted Su Wenzhen, signaling him to let go.
Su Wenzhen closed her eyes and said softly, "Stop fooling around, go to sleep."
The night was slightly cool, and the candlelight flickered in the room, creating an exceptionally warm atmosphere. After a while, Su Wenzhen, who had just said he was going to sleep, suddenly opened his eyes. He gently got up, leaned over and glanced at Ye Wanning beside him, who seemed to be fast asleep. After a moment, he gently climbed out of bed.
As soon as Su Wenzhen stepped out of the thatched hut, he noticed that the light in the white-haired old man's hut was still on. He was taken aback at first, then smiled and went up to knock on the door, "Senior."
"Creak." The door opened, and the Taoist-looking man from that morning poked his head out. He looked at Su Wenzhen and gestured for him to come in, "Prince Jin, please come in."
"Excuse me." Su Wenzhen bowed and slowly entered the room. As soon as he entered, he saw the white-haired old man sitting upright on the bed, with a small table on it, where he was eating something.
Seeing the commotion outside, the old man glanced over and, recognizing Su Wenzhen, snorted coldly, "What brings you here?"
"I couldn't sleep, so I came out for a walk." Su Wenzhen smiled. "I noticed the light was still on in your room, so I thought I'd come and check on you."
"You talk as if it's true." The white-haired old man glared at Su Wenzhen, paused, and then said in a very unpleasant tone, "Now that you've finished watching, can you go back to sleep? No need to see me out!" With that, he turned his head away, refusing to look at him, and continued eating.
Hearing the white-haired old man say this, Su Wenzhen was not angry. He smiled, appearing exceptionally refined. After a moment, he walked to the table inside the room and sat down directly.
Seeing that Su Wenzhen didn't leave but instead sat down, the white-haired old man was a little displeased. He glanced at Su Wenzhen and said with a sneer, "What is it about me that attracts you so much that you can't leave even if I ask you to?"
"No, not at all," Su Wenzhen said good-naturedly. "However, I do have something to ask you, senior."
"No answer!" The white-haired old man withdrew his gaze and said angrily, "Disciple! Show the guest out!"
"It is said in the martial arts world that there was once a He family in this world, who were skilled in divination and altering fate." As soon as the white-haired old man finished speaking, Su Wenzhen interjected, "Who would have thought that the He family, despite their many divinations, could not foresee their own destiny, and were ultimately wiped out when others coveted their family's secret techniques."
As he spoke, Su Wenzhen raised an eyebrow and looked intently at the white-haired old man, "I just wonder, senior, do you have any ties with the He family?"
Upon hearing this, the white-haired old man's expression changed drastically. He stared at Su Wenzhen, as if someone had mentioned something inappropriate, his face full of anger. "You brat, who gives you the right to be so insolent here!" he roared. "Hurry up and show your guest out!"
Seeing that his master was indeed about to get angry, the Taoist-looking man knew the situation was urgent and quickly stepped forward to Su Wenzhen, saying, "Your Highness, please leave quickly, your master is really angry."
Su Wenzhen glanced at the man, stood up, and assumed he was about to leave. But to his surprise, Su Wenzhen suddenly knelt down. "This junior has a favor to ask of you, senior!"
The white-haired old man was already red with anger. He waved his sleeve and cursed, "I won't help!"
Upon hearing this, Su Wenzhen immediately kowtowed deeply. He looked up at the white-haired old man and said, "I hope that you will help me this time for Wan Ning's sake!"
"Looking at her, she doesn't seem to..." Suddenly realizing something, the white-haired old man calmed down and looked at Su Wenzhen suspiciously, "What do you mean by that?"
"During the day, I overheard you and your disciple discussing Wan Ning's destiny, and your tone seemed a bit off." Su Wenzhen looked at him earnestly, "I wonder if there's anything else you haven't said?"
The white-haired old man squinted at Su Wenzhen for a long time, then paused and said lazily, "Heavenly secrets cannot be revealed."
“Wan Ning…” Su Wenzhen bit her lip, her tone suddenly becoming unusually sorrowful, “She was a very kind person. I just want to know, will Wan Ning suffer many misfortunes in the future…”
The white-haired old man sneered. He glanced at Su Wenzhen and said with a hint of amusement, "With your fate of bringing misfortune to your father, mother, and brothers, who wouldn't be unlucky if they followed you?" As he spoke, he poured himself a glass of wine and said slowly, "You're cursed by fate. Did you think you could get away with pretending to be stupid for a few years?"
Su Wenzhen looked at the white-haired old man, somewhat at a loss, and asked, "Senior, what do you mean by that? When did Wenzhen... become a nemesis?"
"You weren't raised by your parents, so naturally you wouldn't know, but it's not like both parents loved you, is it?" The white-haired old man stroked his beard and spoke again, "Also, those brothers who are close to you now might be harmed by you in the future!"
"How could that be..." Su Wenzhen said somewhat awkwardly. He would never hurt Su Wenyan.
"That's hard to say. I think the bad guy that the little kid was talking about was the one you killed." The white-haired old man glanced at Su Wenzhen and said with some pity, "This is just the beginning. I really don't know what it will be like in the future."
Su Wenzhen was taken aback. He looked at the white-haired old man and was speechless.
"However," the white-haired old man chuckled, "I can see you mean well, but it's best to avoid bloodshed in the future. As for that little child..." His tone suddenly shifted, "...that's her fate!"
Her...fate... Su Wenzhen looked at the white-haired old man, "Senior...what do you mean?"
The white-haired old man poured himself another glass of wine, shaking his head as he said, "Heavenly secrets cannot be revealed! Disciple, see the guest out!"
