Chapter 100 What happened to Cui'er?

Chapter 100 What happened to Cui'er?

Where did Cui'er go? Su Wenzhen was stunned for a moment, and after a while he came to his senses. He looked at Ye Wanning, opened his mouth, and was unable to say anything.

Seeing Su Wenzhen's gloomy expression, Ye Wanning felt a tightness in her chest and her body became unsteady. "Has something happened to Cui'er?"

"No," Su Wenzhen replied softly.

Seeing Su Wenzhen's hesitant expression, Ye Wanning became anxious. She frowned and asked, "Wenzhen, tell me, has something happened to Cui'er?"

“I already said no.” Su Wenzhen got up and covered Ye Wanning with the blanket. “She was the one who told me you were in trouble. If it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t have known.” As he spoke, Su Wenzhen sighed. “She was the one who informed me. How could something have happened to you?”

"Then call her over." Ye Wanning looked at Su Wenzhen with intense eyes. "I have something to tell her. Call her over."

Su Wenzhen paused for a moment, but resumed his movements after less than half a second. He smiled at Ye Wanning and said, "I just sent her out to do something."

"What is it?" Ye Wanning suddenly stood up. "Tell me, I'm going to find her!"

"Wan Ning!" Upon seeing this, Su Wenzhen quickly held Ye Wan Ning down. He frowned deeply. "Ning Wan Zhi gave you too strong a medicine. The effects haven't worn off yet. Do you really want Cui'er to see you looking so sickly?"

"Tell me if something happened to Cui'er!" Ye Wanning suddenly struggled and shouted, "If nothing happened, why won't you let me see her!"

"No! I didn't!" Upon seeing this, Su Wenzhen immediately hugged Ye Wanning and gently comforted her, "Wanning, don't worry, Cui'er is really alright, it's just... she's just a little injured and it's not appropriate for her to see you right now..."

"What injury did Cui'er suffer?" Ye Wanning looked up at Su Wenzhen, her face full of anxiety. "Tell me, what injury did Cui'er suffer?"

Su Wenzhen bit her lip, "It's not a serious injury, just a leg injury..."

Ye Wanning felt her heart skip a beat. She composed herself, looked at Su Wenzhen, and after a while, closed her eyes and said in a low voice, "Wenzhen, you should go out first. I want to be alone for a while."

"Wan Ning..."

"Get out." Ye Wanning closed her eyes, feeling an intense pain in her heart.

Seeing that Ye Wanning had closed her eyes and looked uncomfortable, Su Wenzhen nodded helplessly, "Okay, then you should get some rest." After saying that, Su Wenzhen left.

The room was silent for a long while before Ye Wanning opened her eyes. She looked outside and, seeing that there was indeed no one there, slowly got up. Unexpectedly, her body went limp and she collapsed back down. Damn it! Ye Wanning blushed and pounded the bed hard. Ning Wanzhi and Su Wenyi! Ye Wanning's eyes reddened. I'm not finished with you!

Ye Wanning gritted her teeth and rested for a while. She felt that she had regained some strength. She tried to move her legs and was able to. Ye Wanning breathed a sigh of relief and then tried to move her arms. Great! Ye Wanning closed her eyes and used her strength to prop herself up. She slowly moved her legs off the bed and stood up. Because she had used a lot of strength, a layer of fine sweat had already appeared on her forehead.

Ye Wanning reached out and wiped her sweat. She let go of the bed and, unexpectedly, fell straight down after only a few steps.

"Bang!" A heavy thud came from inside the room. Su Wenzhen, who had just stepped outside, was startled and quickly pushed the door open and rushed in. "Wan Ning, what's wrong!"

Su Wenzhen entered the house and found Ye Wanning lying on the ground, looking pained. Upon seeing this, Su Wenzhen immediately went over and helped her up. "Wanning!" he asked. "What are you doing?"

Ye Wanning bit her lip and shook her head. If she said she wanted to go out and see Cui'er, he would scold her to death!

Seeing that Ye Wanning remained silent, Su Wenzhen guessed what was going on. He sighed, shook his head, and said, "I just went to Cui'er's room to check on her. The doctor said it's nothing serious, and she'll be fine after a couple of days of rest." As he spoke, Su Wenzhen handed Ye Wanning a small bowl of herbal soup that he had just brought over. "This is the antidote. You should calm down first, and when you feel better, I'll take you to see Cui'er, okay?"

Ye Wanning felt a lump in her throat. She looked at Su Wenzhen, nodded, and said, "Okay." Then she took the bowl, tilted her head back, and drank it all in one gulp.

Seeing that Ye Wanning obediently finished her medicine, Su Wenzhen nodded and reached out to pat her head. "Rest in your room for a while. I'll come to pick you up later."

Hearing this, Ye Wanning nodded, obediently closed her eyes, and fell asleep.

Seeing Ye Wanning slowly close her eyes, Su Wenzhen felt a surge of warmth in his heart. He leaned down and gently kissed Ye Wanning's forehead. Su Wenzhen stood up, but his gentle eyes suddenly darkened. The people in this mansion were becoming increasingly unruly. Did they really think the Prince Jin's mansion was easy to mess with? Thinking this, Su Wenzhen waved his sleeve and walked out of the room toward the main hall with a gloomy face.

Upon entering the main hall, Su Wenzhen's eyes darkened further upon seeing the group of people kneeling before him. He walked forward in a deep voice and sat down without uttering a word.

Seeing someone approaching, one of them finally couldn't hold back any longer and asked in a low voice, "Your Highness, what is the reason for summoning us here today...?"

"You want to ask me what's wrong?" Su Wenzhen suddenly interrupted the man, saying fiercely, "I'd like to ask you what's wrong!"

Seeing Su Wenzhen's hostile attitude, everyone in the main hall was startled. One of them looked at Su Wenzhen tremblingly and asked, "Your Highness...we really don't know..."

Su Wenzhen suddenly stood up, walked up to the person, grabbed her chin, narrowed his eyes, his gaze full of danger, and asked, "What's your name?"

The woman turned pale with fright and answered in a trembling voice, "I...I...I am called Shu Ruxue..."

"A good name." Su Wenzhen smiled, then suddenly tightened his grip and changed the subject, "Where did Ning Wanzhi go?"

Shu Ruxue's face paled, and she looked at Su Wenzhen, somewhat at a loss. "Your Highness... what does Your Highness mean... this servant... this servant doesn't know..."

"What do you mean?" Su Wenzhen raised an eyebrow, looking at Shu Ruxue with a playful smile. "I remember you two were quite close before. What? You don't know what I'm talking about after just a little while?"

Shu Ruxue felt a chill run down her spine. Her body trembled, and her face turned pale. "Your Highness... Your Highness... This servant... This servant really doesn't know..."

"I'm asking you," Su Wenzhen stared at Shu Ruxue, his face as cold as ice, and said, word by word, "Where did Ning Wanzhi go?"

Seeing Su Wenzhen's appearance, Shu Ruxue was startled. She broke free from Su Wenzhen's grasp and repeatedly kowtowed, begging for mercy, "Your Highness! Your Highness, spare my life! I don't know what Ning Wanzhi did! I'm not familiar with Ning Wanzhi!"

As she spoke, Shu Ruxue burst into tears. "In the past, Ning Wanzhi was the most favored by the Crown Prince and the Third Prince. The other sisters were all extremely envious, hoping to learn some lessons from Ning Wanzhi and share in the Crown Prince and the Third Prince's favor. But..." Shu Ruxue sniffed, "But Ning Wanzhi has always been quiet and reserved. We've only met by chance. Even when Ning Wanzhi spoke up for me that day, I was surprised for a long time..."

Upon hearing this, Su Wenzhen frowned. Was he deeply favored by Su Wenzhen and Su Wenliang? Su Wenzhen's eyes darkened, as if something was about to burst forth from his heart. After a pause, he clenched his fist and said, "You may all leave."

Shu Ruxue was taken aback, thinking she had misheard. She looked up at Su Wenzhen, full of confusion, "Your Highness..."

"Get out of here, all of you! Didn't you hear me?!" Su Wenzhen roared.

Upon hearing Su Wenzhen's words, the people in the main hall hurriedly scrambled out, as if afraid that anyone who was slow to escape would be caught and punished by Su Wenzhen.

Seeing that everyone had dispersed, Su Wenzhen slumped into a chair, looking unusually dejected. "Your Highness," said Steward Li, standing to the side, quietly, noticing Su Wenzhen's exhausted appearance, "what are you going to do with these people?"

"Get them all out." Su Wenzhen rubbed his head, feeling a terrible headache. If he hadn't acted rashly and taken those people into his residence, none of this trouble would have happened. Now that things have turned out this way, he truly regrets it.

Upon hearing this, Steward Li frowned. He looked at Su Wenzhen and said hesitantly, "If we really drive those beauties out of the manor, how will we explain it to the Crown Prince and the Third Prince..."

"Do I need to explain anything further?" Hearing those two mentioned, Su Wenzhen felt a surge of anger. He said loudly, "Su Wenliang dared to do such a rebellious thing today, does he think he can get away with offending me? Besides, you heard what Shu Ruxue just said. This matter is definitely related to Su Wenliang!"

"Yes!" Seeing this, Steward Li nodded repeatedly, afraid that the anger would be transferred to him. He composed himself and said, "Then Your Highness, I will go and take care of this matter first."

"Go." Su Wenzhen waved his hand impatiently. His eyes darkened. Su Wenzhen, I'm not done with you about this!
