Estrangement

Estrangement

On the way back, Jinnan slept all the way as usual. The first thing he did when he arrived in Lido was to take Xu Zhiyuan to the law firm.

Young Master Jin sat down at Lawyer Chen's desk, acting like a young master. "Property notarization? Can't I just give him half of mine?"

Lawyer Chen wiped his sweat. "Boss Jin, this... this isn't how it's done. Not to mention how a large equity transfer will affect the group's stock price, just transferring all the properties under your name will take quite a while. And then there's the other real estate, investments, and trusts. There's really no way to get it done all at once."

"Can't we get voluntary guardianship without notarization?"

"Of course I can, but..." Chen Lu looked at Xu Zhiyuan with a troubled look, looking for help. Xu Zhiyuan turned his head away silently, pretending not to see it.

Jinnan was still blinking, his face full of hope. Chen Lu was helpless, and after much persuasion, he finally sent this love-brained young master away.

Seeing his grim expression, his colleagues jokingly asked, "Law Chen, what are you busy with that makes you so worried?"

"Alas." Chen Lu could only sigh.

Jin Nangang asked him how to legally marry his brother in the country.

Where can I seek justice?

Jinnan, having hit a wall, was actually quite happy and had already started thinking about where to hold the wedding. He sent a voice message to Li Hongfang, hoping that the expert tailor might make a wedding dress or recommend a designer, but ten minutes later, he was blocked.

"Oh, these people are so stingy." Jinnan sighed helplessly.

Xu Zhiyuan laughed at this: "That's about it. What do you want to eat tonight?"

"Have a big meal."

After the big meal, I was already exhausted.

Jinnan drank a lot of wine while there was wine in the store, saying that he was so happy that he wanted to celebrate. He completely let go of the restraint he had previously had in Liancheng and drank like a happy drunk.

There was no other way, so Xu Zhiyuan had to help him change clothes and take a bath without complaint.

Jinnan was constantly trying to get Xu Zhiyuan into the bathroom. He wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary, he just loved seeing Xu Zhiyuan soaking wet and splashing water all over him while he was bathing her.

Xu Zhiyuan never got angry. When Jinnan forgot about playing with bubbles, he helped him fish the duck out of the water.

"The water will get cold if you soak in it again." Xu Zhiyuan rolled up his sleeves, but Jinnan didn't show any intention of coming out. He casually rubbed his hair twice and turned on the shower head in a daze.

He jumped up instantly like a wet cat. Xu Zhiyuan quickly caught him and, laughing, rinsed his head. He wiped the water from his eyes and ears with his hands. As he was washing, he clung to him, clinging to him and refusing to let go.

"You are retaliating," Jinnan accused.

Xu Zhiyuan looked innocent: "What's wrong with me?"

Jinnan pushed her bangs back, her face a little red, much of which was caused by Xu Zhiyuan while she was wiping the water off.

It was too soft, I couldn't help it.

Now that he was exposed, Xu Zhiyuan chose to play dumb: "Did foam get in your eyes? Let me blow it out for you?"

Jinnan certainly didn't buy it. He pinched Xu Zhiyuan's cheeks as well. Looking at the grimace he made, he laughed first.

"Xu Zhiyuan, why are you so mean?"

Xu Zhiyuan tilted his head: "Hmm?"

Without saying much, his hand grasped Jin Nan's soft spot, which immediately made Jin Nan afraid to act rashly. After begging for mercy for a long time, he was finally freed. He dried his hair and changed into pajamas. Xu Zhiyuan also took a quick shower and came out to sit next to Jin Nan.

The whirring sound of the hair dryer covered everything. Jinnan held the corner of Xu Zhiyuan's clothes in one hand, and Mr. Xu was as quiet as ever.

There were always times when he thought he had seen through Xu Zhiyuan's outward disguise, but all the tiny, subtle details quietly told him that it was not the case.

Xu Zhiyuan always did these things for him smoothly and at ease. He was so familiar with it that if Jinnan picked up the hair dryer himself, Xu Zhiyuan would pout and look grumpy.

He hid his secret thoughts and pretended to be indifferent, only using his increasingly sophisticated skills and a few indifferent words like "Do you want help?" to lure Jinnan into the trap.

Jinnan finally understood that Xu Zhiyuan had always been like this and would not love him more or more openly just because he expressed his feelings.

"Mr. Xu, did Gao Min call you?" Jin Nan tugged at the corner of his clothes.

Xu Zhiyuan turned off the hair dryer and touched the ends of his hair, which was almost dry. "You spoke so badly."

Jinnan laughed: "So what? I've never been to Hong Kong City. I learned this from you."

"Don't slander me." Xu Zhiyuan also laughed, "If you like, you can go and live there for a while, but not in the summer."

"What about summer?" "Typhoons."

"Honestly." Jinnan grabbed his arm and climbed up. "There's this meeting tomorrow. I heard Yiqing say that they only gave me the invitation and Claire didn't even receive it. What are they planning to do?"

What are you doing? A tactic to sow discord.

Jinnan asked knowingly, with a sly fox-like smile on his face.

He showed off and flaunted so brazenly, without worrying at all whether Xu Zhiyuan would feel resentful about it.

He knew Xu Zhiyuan wouldn't.

Xu Zhiyuan wants wholehearted trust, and Jinnan will give it to him.

"You go exercise yourself?"

Xu Zhiyuan freed his hands and blew the hot air, which was very high, onto Jinnan's neck, burning him and making him shiver.

"Okay, then I'll use your name to cheat people and ruin your reputation."

A pair of fair arms climbed onto Xu Zhiyuan's shoulders, as if about to kiss him. However, Jin Nan looked tired of the kiss and was considering whether to find something else.

He took off Xu Zhiyuan's glasses and put them on his nose. They were too high, and his eyelashes hit the lenses.

Before I could look at him for a moment, Xu Zhiyuan was already very close.

"Mr. Jin, the car has arrived."

Lu Yiqing, holding coffee in one hand and coat in the other, knocked on the lounge door.

"Come in."

Jin Nan inside was still fiddling with his tie. There were five or six of them hanging by the mirror, but none of them seemed to catch Jin's eye.

The one he was wearing now was the least noticeable one among them, a royal blue so deep that it was almost gray. Lu Yiqing felt like she had seen it somewhere.

Jinnan took the coat from her hand and put it on. He casually adjusted his hair, and the earrings on his ears shone brightly.

No matter how much decoration he has, his face can still overshadow it.

"Let's go. First, call Assistant Gao and tell him we're leaving." Jin Nan took a sip of the coffee, and it was so bitter that he stuck out his tongue on the spot. "Yiqing, did I offend you?"

Lu Yiqing waved her hands repeatedly: "Boss Xu sent it to you. He said it would cheer you up."

Jinnan scoffed, holding the cup and continuing to drink, frowning after each sip.

After getting in the car and finishing their coffee, the driver in the front seat, who was wearing white gloves, greeted them. Jinnan glanced at the starry sky above his head and thought that the people of Gaomin were quite polite.

The car arrived at Lucerne Bay. Gao Min's hotel had a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its renovation. Xu Zhiyuan had to report to Jin Nan before attending. Jin Nan got out of the car and saw Mr. Gao's usual fake smile, feeling a mixture of emotions.

Jin Nan didn't interact with him much. On the one hand, this person was close to Xu Zhiyuan, and on the other hand, Jin Nan didn't like his kind.

Before Gao Min could say anything, a middle-aged businessman next to him spoke first: "You arrived quite early, Mr. Jin. I thought there would be traffic jams for a while, but it seems the traffic conditions are kind to you today."

Jinnan stared at it for a while, and said something polite, but he couldn't remember who the person was at all.

Gao Min obviously saw what was going on and interrupted, "Boss Xu, Xiaonan and I have something else to talk about. Can you guys talk after the meeting?"

Jin Nan's heart moved. The surname was Xu, and he looked very familiar. Could he be from Xu Zhiyuan's side?

After looking at it again with some clues, Jinnan suddenly felt that this person looked like Xu Xingwen.

Gao Min didn't say anything, and led Jin Nan inside. Anyone who could recognize Gao Min's face was no ordinary person. Most of the people present today were from the media, and many of them recognized Jin Nan, so the greetings became a little subtle.

Gao Min arranged a not-so-conspicuous seat in the front row. Jin Nan turned around and saw that there was an acquaintance sitting next to him.

Liu Rui raised her hand and waved generously: "Hi, long time no see."

Jinnan turned around and saw Gao Min watching the fun with a sly smile.

Gao Min was deliberately causing trouble, but Liu Rui was a clear-headed person. During the meeting, there was not much talk, and only through occasional small talk did Jin Nan learn about some minor matters that were beyond his reach.

A few months ago, when Jinnan was busy celebrating Xu Zhiyuan's birthday, Xu Zhiyuan finalized a cooperation with Liu Rui.

It wasn't the Liu family, but Liu Rui. Liu Rui had already left the family and left with a group of young backbones to form a new company.

Liu Rui worked overtime for more than two months to complete her first big order with Hua Lin, and only now did she have time to socialize.

"Thank you and Mr. Xu so much for all this time. My friend has a holiday villa in the suburbs. When you have some free time, come over and visit. I will definitely treat you well."

Jinnan said with a smile, "When the project is over, Zhiyuan and I will definitely come."

The boring leader's speech was finally coming to an end, and Gao Min sent a message asking Jin Nan to have a small dinner in the evening.

Now comes the point.

Xu Zhiyuan's call also came at this time. Jinnan avoided the crowd and heard the sound of oil sizzling in the pot on the other end when he picked up the phone.

Xu Zhiyuan: "What time will you be back?"

Jin Nan glanced at his watch. "Nine o'clock? We're having dinner later. Will you come pick me up tonight?"

Xu Zhiyuan answered immediately: "Where?"

Jinnan heard footsteps and lowered his voice: "I'll send it to you later."

After the call ended, Liu Rui stood in front of him, her handbag in hand, her beautiful red lips raised slightly: "Mr. Jin, there are some things I want to tell you."

Jinnan nodded: "You say."

"It's all about the project. Can you give me your phone number? We can discuss it in detail next time we go to Hualin?"

Jinnan thought for a moment and said, "Let's add WeChat."

Xu Zhiyuan is in charge of all projects related to the Liu family, and he is also in charge of Liu Rui's affairs. Daily trivial matters cannot go through Jinnan's hands and are only given to him when the decision is made.

I don’t know if Xu Zhiyuan paid attention to it, but he was definitely on guard against him.

Jinnan only left his work number and said goodbye to Miss Liu politely. Gao Min happened to come back with several partners and introduced them to Jinnan one by one.

They were all people Jin Nan had heard of. He shook hands and exchanged pleasantries, greeting each of them one by one, and finally stopped in front of the only person who was a stranger.

Gao Min did not introduce this one.

"Hello, Jinnan."

The man wore a restrained and friendly smile on his face: "Hello, I am Wen Qi, the editor-in-chief of Lido Business News."
