December slipped away quickly in endless busyness. Some of the work was handed over to Jinnan, including signing, meeting, attending conferences, and drinking. Even Jinnan breathed a sigh of relief when the January holiday came.

Xu Zhiyuan did not report to go out, but Jin Nan gave the bodyguards two days off. The spies were removed from the Jin family's old house, leaving only Xu Zhiyuan and a few surveillance cameras.

Jinnan didn't have time to watch it because he was captured by Lin Jiaze.

Mr. Lin invited his friends to a party, and the venue was chosen to be a Banshan Winery that Li Hongfang had never heard of. It was said that it would open at the end of the year, and this was the first batch of guests to be welcomed.

Jin Nan thought, are you going to breathe out the formaldehyde? As soon as he arrived, Li Hongfang grabbed his shoulder and snatched away his car keys.

"Let me see what car our Anan is driving today."

To Li Hongfang's disappointment, he drove an ordinary Mercedes-Benz today.

"Why don't you drive out the treasures in your garage? I'm about to lose my bet!" Li Hongfang was anxious. When the next friend came in, he went to look at the car again.

F8.

All the friends arrived, and Li Hongfang lost the bet. The number of cars of all the guests in the hall combined today was not as large as the number of cars of Lin Jiaze's new favorite.

"What kind of car can make him so proud?" Jin Nan was also curious for a moment.

"His small, shabby company made a net profit of over fifty last year. Brother Jiayi gave it to him as a reward." Li Hongfang raised his chin and gestured to the new car covered with a red cloth parked in the middle of the golden hall.

Lin Jiayi's actions are much more credible than Lin Jiaze's.

"Can you tell me what it is?" Jin Nan asked in a low voice.

From a distance, it looked like the two of them were whispering to each other.

"When will your husband give you a nice car?" Li Hongfang asked instead of answering.

"He's just waiting for me to make fun of the old man." Jin Nan laughed.

The old man's happiness was fake, and Mr. Xu was really unhappy that he was speeding.

These words resonated with Li Hongfang. Jin Nan's family background was good, but his own was complicated. The young masters in his circle had all had smooth sailing and had never experienced hardship. Who could compare to him?

Not only have I suffered, but there is also someone at home who is eyeing me covetously. No matter how I deal with it, it will be inappropriate.

If he were to leave, people would say he was ungrateful. If he were to keep him, he would be on guard against betrayal and being dragged into trouble.

Jinnan was having a hard time, and his friend Li Hongfang was also unhappy.

"I've strayed off topic." Jinnan patted his shoulder. "You don't know what it is, do you?"

Li Hongfang sneered, "Valkyrie."

Jinnan's eyes widened.

"What was his net profit last year?"

"More than half a million."

“This car…”

"The blue card fell to the ground." Li Hongfang shrugged.

The car is not uncommon, but using it as a reward for earning 500,000 yuan is too extraordinary and bizarre.

Jinnan really felt that the Lin family spoiled their children.

"I heard that he used it to make a pain car." Someone interrupted. Jinnan took a look and saw that it belonged to the Zheng family. What was its name?

I can't remember.

Li Hongfang asked curiously, "Itasha? What's the pain? Jeanne d'Arc?"

"I heard it's Fruity Robo."

Li Hongfang almost spit out a mouthful of wine.

"Talent."

Jinnan nodded in agreement.

Mr. Lin, who was at the center of the incident, was completely oblivious to everything, his hands gripping one end of the red curtain with fascination, as if he was holding not a piece of cloth but the Nasdaq bell button.

The room was filled with a roar, reaching its peak when the red curtain rose. Jinnan clapped and whistled along, not noticing a small spill of champagne. His gaze fell on the car, which, of course, wasn't covered in Fruity Robo. His gaze drifted off course as he studied it.

There was a man standing in the dark behind the car, away from the crowd, talking to someone with his head tilted.

Jinnan's blood froze.

Xu Zhiyuan? When did he come? Bodyguard...

Oh yes, he gave the bodyguard a day off.

Why did Xu Zhiyuan come to Lin Jiaze's party?

Jin Nan hated this unpredictable feeling and for a moment he didn't even care about the car. He broke away from Li Hongfang's arm and wanted to look for the person, but after a closer look, he realized that he had seen it wrong. It was just a very similar profile.

The other person noticed his gaze, and although puzzled, he still raised his glass from a distance.

"What's wrong?" Li Hongfang asked him.

"I thought," Jin Nan said with a shudder, "I thought I saw Xu Zhiyuan."

Lin Jiaze’s new car was unveiled. Printed on the bright red car body was not the word “Orange Fragrance” but a string of English letters.

"This guy is also a brother's treasure. He has his brother's English name tattooed on his car. I'm really impressed." Li Hongfang applauded perfunctorily, "Why should I say that?"

Jinnan: "If you want to curse, just curse. There's no need to beat around the bush."

Li Hongfang smiled: "If you have a habit of calling me brother, I can do it for you."

"Thank you. You are three months younger than me."

After all the flaunting, it was, of course, the first voyage. Lin Jiaze invited people everywhere to sit in his passenger seat, some fearing his epileptic driving skills, others hesitant to steal the spotlight.

Lin Jiaze stretched out his hand to Jinnan, blinked, and said sincerely: "Jinnan, sit in the passenger seat?"

Li Hongfang accompanied him: "Oh, what a great meeting between Ge Baonan!"

"Thank you, I don't have a brother." Jin Nan didn't extend his hand out of fear. "Do you need me to send you to learn opera?"

After so much procrastination, the rain started to fall before the tailwind arrived.

Lin Jiayi also called: "Jia Ze, it will rain in the next half hour, don't drive on the mountain road."

Lin Jiaze didn't dare to act rashly after his parents spoke. Guarding his precious new car, he couldn't resist the hunger.

Li Hongfang and he were ordering food, and Jinnan had some free time, so he went into a corner and turned on the home surveillance.

He wants to know where Xu Zhiyuan is.

Jinnan searched the bedroom, study, and dining room one by one, feeling increasingly depressed.

There are traces of Xu Zhiyuan everywhere. This house has become his business card, but the real owner has not shown up.

After searching everywhere, Jinnan took out his cell phone and when he reacted, Xu Zhiyuan's voice came over.

"Hello."

"Where are you?" Jinnan asked.

On the first morning of the first day after the deregulation, Jin Nan couldn't bear it any longer and called Xu Zhiyuan.

Jinnan heard a vague laugh.

"The mall," Xu Zhiyuan said. "Wan Guo Hui, do you need to bring anything?"

Wanguohui is very close to them.

"What are you going to do?" Jinnan asked again.

"I'm helping Youyi buy things. He's planning to rent a place for his parents to settle down first, and asked me to pick out some furniture."

Xu Zhiyuan was not impatient at all, as if he was not reporting his own itinerary, but the latest program list of the Lido Grand Theatre.

"Have you finished shopping?"

"soon."

Jinnan looked up and around. The people at the table seemed to be looking at him vaguely, and he felt inexplicably nervous.

"Send you the location, come over later."

"What to do?" Xu Zhiyuan asked.

"Have a meal."

The people who were having fun came to the table in twos and threes. Someone who was listening in on the phone leaned over and asked, "Young Master Jin, are you calling someone? Is she pretty?"

Jinnan laughed for some reason.

"Beautiful," he said.

Xu Zhiyuan waited quietly for the answer from the other end of the phone without saying a word. After waiting for a long time, Jinnan only heard a beep.

The phone was hung up.

Jinnan clenched his phone tightly, anger rising in his heart.

Today was his day off, and Xu Zhiyuan had the guts to hang up on him? He had time to choose furniture for Youyi, but no time to have dinner with him?

Jinnan called back and this time the call was connected directly.

Looking at the food on the table, he suddenly lost his appetite.

I opened another software that I hadn't used for a long time, and when the map opened, the flashing red and blue dots were very close, only about one kilometer away.

Xu Zhiyuan had Jinnanzhuang's location in his cell phone, which he used frequently. However, after he put Xu Zhiyuan under house arrest, it was never used again.

Xu Zhiyuan did not lie.

"Jinnan?" Li Hongfang leaned closer. "Your favorite dishes are here. What are you busy with?"

The phone was off, and Li Hongfang took in the contents. He just smiled and said nothing. Jinnan's "special attention" was not a bad thing for him.

Jinnan picked up his chopsticks and ate something casually. Li Hong was just pouring soup for him when a phone call came in.

It’s Xu Zhiyuan.

Jinnan picked up the phone, but before he could say anything, he heard someone ask, "Where is it?"

He looked down at his watch and saw that only ten minutes had passed since the phone call.

Perhaps thinking he hadn't heard, Xu Zhiyuan said again, "I'm downstairs. Which room are you in?"

"Jinnan, soup." Li Hongfang placed the soup in front of him. "Be careful, it's hot."

Jinnan pushed his chair away and left, apologizing all the way.

Lin Jiaze held up his chopsticks, his face full of confusion: "Is his father back to life? Is he in such a hurry to leave?"

"Who knows?" said Li Hongfang.

I don’t know whether I came or not, but there was a wild boy who came uninvited.

Xu Zhiyuan drove along the hill above the speed limit. Luckily, there were few cars, so he didn't have time to park. He tossed the keys to the doorman and called Jinnan, who thankfully answered quickly.

He came so quickly that when he stood in front of him, Jinnan even forgot that he was still holding chopsticks in his hand. He looked a little funny.

Xu Zhiyuan stood in front of him and showed him the red battery indicator on his phone, which was about to shut down.

"An urgent call just came in." Xu Zhiyuan said.

He wanted to tell Jinnan, "I haven't left, I won't leave, I'll always be within your reach." But their relationship wasn't one in which loyalty could be expressed.

He could only give such a pale explanation, hoping that all the messy details would have a little more sincerity.

Jinnan looked at the rain soaking him. Xu Zhiyuan wasn't wearing much. He wanted to ask him why he didn't run, to say that if he died, so what? But all the words got stuck in his throat, and turned into a simple greeting: "Have you eaten?"

Of course I didn’t eat it.

Jinnan led the people back to the dining room, sat down quietly, and called the waiter to bring some food. The whole table became quiet along with the two of them.

The soup Li Hongfang had prepared for him had only been sitting for a while, and it was already a little cold. It was January, and it was hard to get a hot meal.

"Just sit down?" Lin Jiaze winked at Jinnan, "Don't you want to introduce yourself?"

Most of the people in Lin Jiaze's circle are playboys, and they may not be able to match this face with Xu Zhiyuan.

If Jinnan hadn't introduced himself, Xu Zhiyuan would have been quiet, as if he was just a little follower who was here to eat for free.

Jin Nan took a long time to remember, put down his chopsticks, and said dryly: "This is Xu Zhiyuan."

The same way of introduction as Li Hongfang made it seem as if the whole world should know Xu Zhiyuan like a big star.

Silence, the whole world is silent.

Some people adjusted their collars to cover the kiss marks, some coughed and cleared their throats and sat up straight, and some grabbed their wallets and keys and tried to run away.

Oh my God, I hope this guy won’t go back and complain to their parents.

Unable to figure out Xu Zhiyuan's attitude, Jin Nan, who was always easy to talk to, said nothing and just buried his head in his food.

He did not intend to let Xu Zhiyuan fall into a dead end alone. It was just that he himself was stuck in a dead end of thinking and could not get out for the time being.

Why did Xu Zhiyuan come to see him? Why did he hang up after explaining to him? One kilometer was true, but it was all uphill. Jinnan could imagine how fast Xu Zhiyuan was driving.

It was still raining outside. None of the second-generation rich kids who were planning to speed today succeeded. The only one who almost exceeded the speed limit was Xu Zhiyuan.

Why? Jin Nan desperately asked himself, why?
