Chapter 15 Black Cherry decides to cheat on Gin. Do you want to be my boyfriend...?
Is it him? The person who makes me feel uneasy.
Chinatsu Takanashi has been blessed by Lady Luck since childhood. Not only does she often encounter things that bring her small moments of happiness, but her intuition often gives her early warnings when danger comes, helping her avoid a lot of trouble.
Now, after her initial unease, Takanashi Chinatsu meets a boy.
Without any hesitation, Takanashi Chinatsu lightly touched the ground with her toes and rushed towards the boy, grabbing the magic wand in his hand.
For the first time, Tong Ze Elio's eyes showed surprise.
His magic transmission was interrupted.
“I have not seen you in the prophecy,” Tongze Elio said.
Alarm bells rang in Takanashi Chinatsu's mind, and she immediately tried with all her might to snatch the magic wand from his hand.
But Tongze Elio's hand seemed glued to the wand, and no matter how hard Takanashi Chika tried, the wand wouldn't budge.
Tong Ze Elio continued, "You are not part of her destiny."
No, absolutely not.
In the "Fate" segment, the Kinomoto family interacts with many people, and Sakura makes many friends, but in no segment is Chinatsu Takanashi ever seen.
That's impossible.
The fact that she is not in the fate segment indicates that she never appears in front of anyone in the Kinomoto family.
But she showed up anyway, and even stayed at the Kinomoto house.
"What do you want to do to them?" Takanashi Chika pulled out a dagger and stabbed at Tongze Elio without hesitation.
"Bang—"
A powerful force struck, instantly sending the dagger and Takanashi Chika flying.
The dark magic circle lit up, and Tong Ze Eriol stood in the center. He glanced regretfully at Sakura's window and said, "Let's call it a day."
As soon as he finished speaking, Tong Ze Elio's figure quickly disappeared into the magic circle.
"Wait!" Takanashi Chinatsu rushed over immediately, but the magic circle disappeared too quickly, and there was nothing left in front of her.
Sakura's window suddenly opened, and Sakura, wearing a bunny doll pajama, rubbed her eyes and looked outside.
"What happened... Eh? China-neechan, why did you go outside?" Sakura exclaimed in surprise.
At the same time, Touya opened the door and ran out one after the other with Yukito.
"Chika, are you alright?" Touya put his hands on Chika's shoulders, his body still tense even though he saw that she was safe and sound, his eyes scanning the surroundings warily.
"It's nothing." Takanashi Chika shook her head.
"Sakura, go back to sleep." Touya called out to Sakura upstairs, then pulled Chinatsu into the room as well.
"It's so cold outside, be careful not to catch a cold." Yukito draped a coat over Takanashi Chika and said, "I'll go to the kitchen to make some ginger soup."
"Thank you for your help," Takanashi Chinatsu said.
Sakura fell asleep again, and Yukito went into the kitchen.
Chika Takanashi, wearing a Yukito outfit, sneezed from the cold and, seeing Touya glaring at her, rubbed her nose guiltily.
“There was someone outside just now, this tall, a boy, about the same age as Sakura, and he seemed to know magic.” Takanashi Chinatsu lowered her voice and compared Eriol’s height to his.
Touya pressed one hand on China's shoulder, and upon hearing this, he subconsciously tightened his grip, but then released it before China could feel any pain.
"It's none of your business. Just don't go out alone again," Touya whispered, giving a gentle reminder.
"So you know?"
"That's none of your business."
Chika Takanashi reluctantly sat down on the sofa, having roughly understood what was going on.
Do you think she can't help with matters related to magic?
"I don't have magic, but did any of you sense him before me?" Takanashi Chinatsu played with her long hair with her fingers, her tone nonchalant: "Because he's a very powerful villain, you're worried something will happen to me? But Touya, what's the difference between him targeting your family and him targeting me?"
The Kinomoto family are all her family members.
She didn't really know anything about the magic side, but she also knew that the Kinomoto family was no ordinary family.
Dad's physical abilities are better than Gin's, my brother can see ghosts, and even Sakura is becoming more and more mysterious.
Magicians, huh? They're really something.
“Touya…” she drawled out, adding in a very soft voice, “Brother.”
Touya's eyes lit up slightly.
"Tell me, maybe I can help. I know a lot of important people."
"Okay." Touya's quick and decisive agreement delighted Takanashi Chinatsu.
But the smile on her face quickly disappeared.
“An equal exchange, and you tell me about your own affairs. I’m quite interested in the important people you know.”
Chinatsuko: ...
No, this is completely different!
How could I introduce someone from the organization to Touya? They're all ruthless killers!
Ordinary people should live their lives in an ordinary world and stay out of her business!
"I can tell from your eyes that you're not going to talk. What? We're your family, but you're not ours?" Touya pressed one end of the sofa with one hand and placed the other two hands on either side of Takanashi Chinatsu's head, his eyes flashing with complex emotions.
I feel both relieved and worried.
Anxious yet indulgent.
"Either we exchange, or neither of us says a word." He straightened up, removing his hands from either side of her head, his voice resolute and leaving no room for negotiation.
Although she was very worried about the Kinomoto family, Takanashi Chika could only keep quiet because of the current situation and decided to investigate in private.
She refused to believe that, given how many important people she knew, she couldn't find out about a little kid.
The next day, Chinatsu Takanashi began her operation.
Because she needed to utilize the organization's intelligence network, Takanashi Chinatsu naturally wouldn't start her investigation from the Kinomoto family. Instead, she drew a portrait of the boy. Fortunately, she was quite skilled at sketching, so she could easily find the boy by taking the portrait with her.
In just one day, by evening, Bacardi brought news.
“Tong Ze Elio, British, orphaned but left behind a large sum of money, arrived in Japan about six months ago.” Bacardi handed her the detailed file and asked, “Why are you investigating this person?”
"Don't you think he's very handsome?" Takanashi Chinatsu replied flippantly as she casually flipped through the pages.
Bacardi suddenly fell silent.
When Takanashi Chika looked up, she saw him looking at her with an incredibly strange gaze, seemingly wanting to say something but then stopping himself.
"What?" Takanashi Chika raised an eyebrow.
Bacardi sighed and earnestly advised her, "Don't go overboard. Gin likes you so much and is willing to wait for you to grow up. Try to pay more attention to him and don't upset him."
Chinatsu Takanashi shuddered and retorted, "Don't you think the phrase 'willing to wait for you to grow up' is inherently perverted?"
Bacardi was speechless. They were an organization, and there were plenty of perverts who were willing to wait for the child to grow up, but not for Takanashi Chinatsu to grow up!
"Don't get me into trouble! If you like being with him, I'd better stay away from him." Takanashi Chinatsu always felt a chill down her spine. She thought that anyone who was willing to pair her up with Gin was also very perverted.
Is Gin someone you can trust to date?
Seeing that Bacardi still wanted to speak, Takanashi Chinatsu retorted with a single sentence: "Rum has always been at odds with Gin. You want me to team up with him? That's aiding the enemy. If I side with Gin, Rum probably won't be able to sleep."
Now that things have come to this point, Bacardi certainly can't persuade him anymore, otherwise who knows if Black Cherry might suddenly complain to Rum about him, he's not ready to die yet.
"I was just saying it offhand. If you don't like it, that's fine. I'm leaving." Bacardi turned and left, giving Takanashi a hostile look as he went.
"Chinatsu-chan." A gentle voice came from behind.
When Chika turned around, she saw Scotland walking towards her carrying a lunchbox. He was wearing a light blue denim jacket and smiling brightly in the spring breeze.
"Was that your friend? Your friends don't seem to like me much." Scotland's voice softened, her eyes filled with helplessness and a hint of grievance.
Fine tea!
Freshly picked Biluochun tea!
Having witnessed the organization's work on biodiversity, Chika Takanashi was naturally not fooled by such a manipulative statement. However, when it came to someone she liked, she was willing to play along: "Bagas doesn't like you because you're too handsome and your cooking is too delicious. It's not your fault."
"So you're from the organization. I've never seen you in the organization before."
"Because you're one of Gin's men, and Bacardi is Rum's confidant, it's normal that you haven't met him."
Scotland was taken aback. Rum's confidant? Bourbon hadn't mentioned him before. It seemed Bourbon was still on Rum's radar.
His gaze involuntarily fell on the file folder that Takanashi Chinatsu was holding.
"Would you like to see your information?" Takanashi Chinatsu casually handed it over.
Scotland gently pushed the hand back, smiling helplessly, "No need, I know myself quite well."
He glanced at the sky; the sun had already set, and the moon was about to rise.
"It's getting late, Chinatsu-chan, see you tomorrow." Scotland waved to her.
Takanashi Chinatsu watched him leave, then suddenly called out, "Scottish, would you like to be my boyfriend?"
Scotland suddenly turned around.
Under the sunlight, Chinatsu Kotori's smile was like a handful of clear, icy spring water on a summer day.
