Chapter 23: Damn Gu Yu (Middle Finger Version)

Chapter 23: Damn Gu Yu (Middle Finger Version)

Zhao Mingzhu began to doze off while copying, her head drooping again and again.

When Gu Qingheng looked over, she was already asleep.

The study was quiet and silent, with only the occasional crackling of the lamplight reminding us that it was already late at night.

Gu Qingheng put down his brush, stood up and walked towards Zhao Mingzhu, his wide sleeves of white robe fluttering as they brushed past the table.

The silver moonlight shone on him, and he stood tall with his clothes fluttering in the wind.

Zhao Mingzhu had stopped sleeping with her head down and now lay completely relaxed on the table. Half of her face was hidden, and the rest of her beautiful complexion was shining in the flickering candlelight.

Gu Qingheng stood in front of her, lowered his eyes, and no one knew what he was thinking.

An early spring breeze rushed into the room, creating ripples wherever it passed. Finally, when it passed by the two of them, the edge of the skirt fluttered and touched the wide sleeves, like a dragonfly skimming the water.

Gu Qingheng took this scene in. He stepped back when they collided again, and at this moment a scarlet jade hairpin slipped out of his sleeve.

He held the jade hairpin, rubbed it, and pointed the tip at the fair and soft neck. The pale blue blood vessels were beating faintly. He only needed a moment to take the other person's life.

Zhao Mingzhu, who was dreaming, felt her hair entering her neck. She unconsciously reached out to push it away, and this action woke her up.

But what she saw was Gu Qingheng holding the jade hairpin, and Zhao Mingzhu tensed up instantly. Was he preparing to attack her suddenly?

She was so frightened that she suddenly looked up and turned her body. Zhao Mingzhu stretched out her index finger to push away the hairpin and laughed dryly:

"I just fell asleep accidentally. Your Highness, there's no need to be so harsh to wake me up."

Zhao Mingzhu swore familiarly, "I will never doze off again, or I'll be struck by lightning."

Gu Qingheng didn't explain. Seeing that she was jumping around again, he put away the hairpin with a calm expression and gave her the stack of poems.

"It's late now. Changhe must have finished copying it. Ask him for it when you get back."

Finished copying so quickly?

Zhao Mingzhu stretched lazily and boasted before leaving: "Your Highness is truly an exceptional talent. He can even copy books faster than us!"

After she finished speaking, she went to find Changhe with the Book of Songs in her arms. But the moment she turned around, the smile on her lips disappeared.

Gu Qingheng wanted to kill her.

She frowned, unable to understand why. What prompted him to suddenly become murderous?

Zhao Mingzhu couldn't figure it out, and finally concluded that he had always wanted to kill her and had never given up on that idea.

Zhao Mingzhu felt such a miserable life. She looked at the moon and consoled herself: "Everything will work out when the time comes."

But the dead mouth didn't let her go: "The light boat has hit the iceberg."

"Crown Princess, what did you say?"

Changhe looked at her strangely. He had been standing there just now, but Zhao Mingzhu didn't react at all.

"Oh, nothing, give it to me." She said in a gloomy tone.

After getting it, he left, and walked faster and faster, leaving Changhe confused.

With the coming of spring, the willow branches are dotted with green, and a thrush alights on them, singing melodiously.

Zhao Mingzhu found Master Lin.

"You copied the entire Book of Songs by yourself?"

Lin Dishi looked at the thick stack and said in surprise.

Zhao Mingzhu withdrew her gaze from outside: "Didn't the Imperial Master say that if I make the same mistake again, I will have to copy it all?"

She looked confused, and when Lin Dishi saw this, he stroked his beard and said happily:

"Who told you that? I meant for the three of you to copy a portion each."

The Book of Songs is divided into three parts: Feng, Ya and Song, and the three of them copied one copy each.

"Gu Yu said..." Zhao Mingzhu changed the subject halfway through her sentence. Damn Gu Yu!

Zhao Mingzhu clutched her chest. "Are these fake sisters?" It was terrifying!

When Master Lin Di looked over the copied Book of Songs, Zhao Mingzhu quickly realized what she had forgotten yesterday.

She forgot to tell Gu Qingheng and Changhe not to write too well, otherwise it would be too different from her poor handwriting.

Zhao Mingzhu prayed in her heart that Master Lin would only read the first part and not flip through the rest, but the other party looked serious, as if he wanted to read it all the way through.

"Imperial Master..."

Lin Dishi looked at her: "What's the matter?"

Zhao Mingzhu forced an awkward smile: "It's okay."

Master Lin was suspicious and lowered his head to continue reading.

Zhao Mingzhu felt hopeless.

Master Lin read faster and faster until he closed the last page. He looked up and saw Zhao Mingzhu standing there.

"Why are you still here? Are you trying to skip class again? Go away."

No one noticed it, Zhao Mingzhu turned around and ran away as if she had been pardoned.

Seeing that she was running very fast, Lin Dishi was afraid that she would be left behind.

He couldn't help but laugh. He had no hope in the first place. He had been punished before, but he had never been asked to copy. This time, at least he copied a few pages by himself.

Thinking of this, Master Lin Di became angry again. He was so old that he couldn't even teach a little girl!

However, Master Lin Di took out a piece of poetry from the pile of poems, and wrote with a pen full of ink, like iron and silver.

This girl is as difficult to deal with as her husband.

Zhao Mingzhu returned to the classroom and sat in her seat. An Yun turned her head and asked, "Mingzhu, why did you go to see Master Lin Di?"

An Yun obviously had no idea what she had escaped.

In response, Zhao Mingzhu turned around and gave someone the middle finger.

Although Gu Yu didn't understand what she meant, he knew from her expression that it was not a good thing. It didn't matter, she was a magnanimous person.

Gu Yu supported himself with one hand, blinked and smiled, "You're going to be pissed off."

Zhao Mingzhu rolled her eyes.

An Yun teased Zhao Mingzhu again, and she leaned closer and said mysteriously:

"Today, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince will give you a piano lesson. You must study hard and don't let Su Lu outperform you!"

Zhao Mingzhu never paid attention to it. She couldn't play the piano anyway, so she just gave up.

"Just keep competing. Losing is the best."

After hearing this, An Yun was very disappointed: "What's wrong with you? You weren't like this before. Now that you're married, you feel relieved after getting what you wanted?"

Zhao Mingzhu had already lain down, ready to go to sleep, and she said:

"What are you afraid of? You're just annoyed by her getting close to Bai Mu. If she marries into the Eastern Palace, it will solve your urgent problem."

An Yun's face didn't show any joy at all. She muttered, "How can that be? I hope you're happy."

If Su Lu married into the Eastern Palace, she would only need to cry twice to snatch away His Royal Highness the Crown Prince.

If Mingzhu is unhappy, she will also be sad.

Zhao Mingzhu opened her eyes, hooked her finger at An Yun, and when someone came closer, she whispered:

"Actually, I've never said this, but I've long disliked His Royal Highness. Now I like high-class women who are challenging."

An Yun couldn't stop smiling after hearing this. She didn't like him anymore. She had been determined to marry Gu Qingheng at the beginning.

Why don’t you like it anymore?

But Zhao Mingzhu looked serious. An Yun asked, "Really?"

Zhao Mingzhu nodded seriously.

An Yun hesitated to speak. No wonder... No wonder the two of them hadn't consummated their marriage for so long. Mingzhu wasn't in a hurry at all.

So that’s it. So that’s it.

An Yun wanted to ask the other party if he had fallen for someone new, but Gu Qingheng stepped into the classroom.

His eyes quickly swept over the area below where An Yun and Zhao Mingzhu were whispering to each other. An Yun didn't know what she heard, but when she looked at him again, shock and understanding flashed in her eyes.

As soon as he came in, Zhao Mingzhu fell into a trance.
