A brief summary of Volume VI, "Darkness"

first--

Once again, thanks to Bachren, who, while not exactly hardworking, is certainly not lazy, for completing another volume of his journey.

Clap clap clap, clap clap clap.

I am in so much pain.

I'll say it again, I'm in so much pain.

This volume is the one I have ever written that has caused me the most mental anguish.

Um.

Previously, it was only physical damage, but this time it is both physical and mental damage.

Volume 6, 180,000 words, is longer than I expected.

How should I put it? I wrote far too many endings for this volume.

By comparing the beginning and end, echoing the preceding text, and repeatedly combining them, I finally achieved the effect I wanted.

I have provided a summary explanation and foreshadowing of many places that you might call pitfalls and riddles.

This includes Ariana's unusually close relationship with Ning Feng at the beginning, the previously mentioned figure of the Prophet, the revelation of Ning Feng's past identity, and the question of who the Stargazer really is and why he shows such favoritism towards Ning Feng. And so on...

It even explained the setting of the useless system that you complained about the most.

I want to make this clear: this is not a temporary "patch".

The system itself had an initial concept.

For example, the succubus system in my previous book was one of the female protagonists (a certain bad woman), and it only played a certain role in the early stages, but was completely changed later.

This time, the system was set to seal Ning Feng himself; this was something that had already been decided.

From the very beginning, Ning Feng was like a veteran who kept reincarnating and eventually cleared the game. But in the very end, he discovered that although he had won, he had lost everything... He didn't want to accept this ending.

So before clearing the game, he chose to restart everything, returning to the very beginning to start over... in order to find a way to achieve a happy ending.

The system is the embodiment of his own divine power, or rather, the answer he arrived at through countless cycles of reincarnation.

Foresight, or the ability to predict the future to a certain extent.

By the way, one of my initial ideas for this book was titled "I'm Really Not a Prophet," and I even paid for a cover design, but the editor rejected it, and it was changed to "Dragged into a Room by a Succubus at the Start"...

It's all tears.

And going back to the previous topic, around this time last year, I had already decided on these things.

Another thing I want to complain about is that when I was almost finished writing this volume, just as I was about to reveal Ning Feng's "background"...

Brother Feng next door finished writing the Abyss and Blazing Sun storyline, and Sister Crow even pushed Huai Shi away, so I happily went to read the dozen or so chapters I had been waiting for.

Then, the more I looked at it, the more familiar it seemed, and then... I became withdrawn.

(Sobbing)

It's so beautiful!

(Sobbing)

All I can say is... Feng Gege is the most awesome.

What I'm trying to say is—jpg, at most gif.

What they're conveying—imax 4k

I have once again deeply realized the gap in our abilities.

Of course, I also admit that there are many pitfalls that shouldn't be explained at this point in time.

But there's nothing we can do now; it's come to this.

This book is still not doing well, and the average daily subscriptions are steadily declining. I don't know if it will still have 900 average subscriptions left when it's finished.

In order to stop the losses, I have been accelerating as much as possible. We have reached the penultimate volume, and I have no choice but to make painful decisions.

I didn't want my final volume to be filled with revelations of what came before, so I had to stretch that out and do it in the penultimate volume.

Personally, I think it's quite suitable.

As for the plot, this volume tells the story I most wanted to tell.

In short, this volume tells a story that I personally quite like.

"Stories of the Past"

About man, about God.

Stories about how humans rebelled against the gods.

I have said long ago that the world should not be ruled by gods, and that humanity should rebel against them.

Ning Feng's role as a prophet and seer is to point out a direction for everyone, especially those who previously couldn't figure out how to proceed, and guide them forward.

Regarding character development.

In this volume, I devoted a great deal of space to describing several important characters:

【Habaron】, an unusually optimistic warrior.

His admiration for Ning Feng was genuine; he enjoyed writing thirteen-line poems, singing, and writing letters.

It represents the largest group within the Prophets, a group that blindly believes in the prophets.

In a sense, he is the epitome of a prophetic fanatic.

【Jaslin】, a noblewoman in my mind who is conservative but not old-fashioned.

His identity dictates that his style of doing things is different from others, and he often makes decisions that seem ruthless to ordinary people.

He would step forward to speak with the prophet when the city of nobles faced despair, and he would also promise to personally destroy everything if they betrayed him.

They might even choose to sacrifice their own child's life in an attempt to save others when they are in despair.

Of all people, he was the most idealistic, and also the most tormented.

He upheld the dignity of the nobility, yet he also loved his children. When these two conflicted, he was torn but ultimately chose his children.
