Chapter 119 Unwilling to Repent

"repent?"

Dongdong.

My heart suddenly pounded, as if reacting with some kind of resistance to the word.

Ning Feng's heart was suddenly filled with resistance.

It was a feeling so unpleasant that it made him feel disgusted.

His expression turned playful, and his tone unconsciously became unfamiliar. Ning Feng looked at the laughing black cat and asked with amusement;

To whom should I confess?

To the gods?

Or is it some great being?

It couldn't possibly be you, could it?

Ariana was not surprised at all by Ning Feng's arrogant reaction, and laughed:

"Regarding that, I don't know."

“The angels of judgment were all creations of the gods, and they all believed in the gods who created them, so this matter is naturally very simple.”

Angels are born to protect the gods and uphold their authority, and their faith is naturally placed in the gods who created them.

"But now they are all asleep, and none of them can respond to your confession."

"Although they'll be waking up soon, and some of them might respond to your prayers in a half-awake state, however..."

The black cat stared at Ning Feng with a smile and chuckled lazily:

“I think you might be very resistant to this.”

You have never been one to bow down to others.

It has always been like this.

Although Ning Feng didn't particularly like Ariana's all-knowing reaction, he had to admit that she was right about this.

Ning Feng disliked the word "repentance".

Only the guilty will repent.

He didn't feel that he had committed any profound sins other than the crime of potentially being "divided into several parts".

If there really is a day when everything collapses, it will be them who punish him, not some unknown deity.

Moreover...

A crime is a crime, and it will not be lessened by the prisoner's repentance.

The gods have neither the right to forgive them nor the means to decide for them.

No one can find salvation in the confessional.

Those sinners, who called themselves devout believers, gained nothing from that dark room.

All they did was forgive themselves.

True repentance means recognizing the mistakes you have made, not repeating them, and making every effort to make amends for your behavior.

Instead of shifting the blame onto others.

That's just escapism.

But now the ceremony is before Ning Feng, forcing him to make a choice.

"So what do we do now? Are you just going to stay stuck at the peak of Tier 1 like this?"

Lying there nonchalantly, the black cat flicked its tail, brushing against Ning Feng's body.

"I don't think there's any problem with it. Anyway, there's nothing wrong with you being a succubus."

What's wrong with being a happy sea king, casting a wide net and catching small fish?

If you get tired of one pond, you can move on to a new one. Wouldn't that be wonderful?

However, that kind of future was not what Ning Feng expected, nor was it the interesting development that Ariana hoped to see.

"But are you willing to accept this?"

She wasn't being sarcastic; on the contrary, she was asking earnestly:

"The fusion of angels and demons, the intertwining of blood and spirit... I have never seen such an unfolding, but I am certain that this power is not weak."

In past attempts, there have been experiments with part-time lineages.

But at most, they only tried to experiment on hybrids, hoping to bring out the different characteristics of the two bloodlines.

Alternatively, one can learn different aspects of knowledge within a knowledge system, hoping to achieve the ability to apply knowledge to other areas.

Some of these experiments were successful, while others failed.

However, most of them did not achieve the expected results and were ultimately wasted due to the time and effort involved, so overall it was not worth the effort.

Nowadays, unless you figure it out on your own, very few people will try to create a part-time family tree.

Moreover, there has never been an example like Ning Feng, who spans two lineages, angels and demons, light and darkness in complete conflict.

"You may not care when you don't have this power, but if you have the chance to obtain it, would you have the heart to watch it slip through your fingers?"

Everything Ning Feng possesses now is a miracle in itself.

She was eager to see what kind of power this miraculous force would eventually unleash.

Looking silently at Ning Feng, Ariana left her last words unspoken.

You won't accept this.

There was no answer, but Ning Feng knew better than anyone what choice he would make.

Giving up is impossible.

Even if there are no opportunities, we should create them, let alone such a readily available bargain. There is no reason to give it up.

but……

Do we really have to endure this humiliation?

Ning Feng felt extremely heavy-hearted and remained silent with his head down.

By being patient for a while, you can gain greater strength and a brighter future.

Is it worth it?

From a developmental perspective, it's definitely worthwhile.

It wasn't even an unbearable ritual, nor did it make him do anything heinous or unacceptable.

It's just a matter of letting him repent for his sins.

Honestly, it's nothing.

But the more this happened, the more uncomfortable Ning Feng felt.

compromise.

In a sense, this is forcing Ning Feng to make a choice.

One who abandons their so-called pride and bows down to a higher level of existence.

I'm very unhappy.

In fact, apart from Ning Feng himself, no one cares about his thoughts.
