Chapter 193 Your Excellency, you don't want this either... (Please don't leave this book unfinished!)

With his head held high, Ning Feng stared intently at the pastor standing outside his window, his expression serious but without any fear.

"As a guest, I have been treated this way, and you should give me a reasonable explanation."

The tall priest fell silent. Through the tangled bandages, he scrutinized Ning Feng for a long time with his rotting eyes, from which worms were constantly crawling out.

Ning, however, remained unmoved by the horrifying scene and stared back without fear.

The two stared at each other, neither giving an inch.

After a while, the priest was the first to avert his gaze and look at the eye through the crack in the door behind Ning Feng.

clatter.

The green eyes, which had been filled with resentment, trembled and vanished instantly at the doorway.

Ning Feng did not turn around, but kept staring at the pastor without shifting his gaze even slightly.

The priest's gaze did not shift; instead, he continued to stare at the door and spoke in a chilling tone:

“...Jack, do you know that this behavior is extremely rude?”

After saying that, he raised his arm and threw a chain forward.

Bang!

The door, which had been half-open, was suddenly pushed open, and a large, fat body was dragged in by an iron chain.

Fat Jack, his hair thinning and his appearance resembling a bloated, rotting corpse, tumbled in, screaming shrilly:

"My lord! Your Excellency! Please let me explain!!"

"That's not true! I wasn't spying on him, I was just on patrol!"

The rotting face, devoid of any discernible expression, contorted in agony. Jack, as if grasping at a straw, kept shouting:

"Yes! I'm just here on patrol! You've misunderstood me!"

A terrified scream echoed through the quiet night, but the entire town of Greywater remained eerily silent, offering no response whatsoever.

"lie."

Anger flashed in the priest's eyes as he heard Jack's cries of agony, and he yanked hard on the chains binding him.

Kakaka!

The sound of chains grinding together mingled with the cracking of bones, and a popping sound like liquid bursting...

"Aaaaaah!!! Sir! You have to believe me! I'm doing this all for everyone's safety! I...aaaaah!!!"

Howling in agony, the horrifying monster was utterly powerless against the seemingly ordinary cast iron chain, its body being constantly squeezed and bent.

Faced with the horrific scene, the priest remained unmoved and spoke coldly:

"The gods will not forgive believers who lie."

The chains tightened further, wrapping around Jack's body and almost digging into his flesh!

Kakakaka...

Amidst this eerie sound, Ning Feng finally turned around and looked at Jack, who was not far behind him.

After enjoying the sight of the other party's miserable state for a while, Ning Feng nodded in satisfaction, then turned to the priest and smiled:

"Your Excellency, I think... how about we just stop here?"

Card.

The chains stopped, the priest's cold gaze paused, and he looked down at Ning Feng.

"Anyway, I wasn't hurt, and Jack was punished for his recklessness. I think that's enough for now."

After speaking, Ning Feng ignored the other party's strange gaze, turned back to look at Jack, who was strangled beyond recognition... resembling a rotting corpse, and asked seriously:

"Promise me you won't do this again, okay?"

Cough cough.

The grotesque, rotting corpse began to writhe, shouting excitedly:

"Yes, I can! Cough cough... I promise I won't do it again!"

Jack had almost resigned himself to his fate, but unexpectedly, he discovered a chance of survival at that moment. Overwhelmed with emotion, he cried out to the priest, "Your Excellency! Please believe me!"

"I've done my part for the village, please let me go!"

Using Jack's wailing as soothing background music, Ning Feng said to the pastor with a face full of compassion:

"Your Excellency, since he has agreed and I have forgiven him... why don't we just let him go?"

"I imagine you wouldn't want to lose a soldier who is so dedicated to protecting the village over something so trivial, would you?"

Staring silently at Ning Feng's expression, the priest seemed momentarily bewildered, unable to discern the true nature of the person before him.

Splash...

There was no answer; instead, the chains binding Jack suddenly loosened and were quickly retracted by him.

“You are…a kind and benevolent adult.”

Shaking his head, Ning Feng raised his right hand to his chest and slowly bowed to the priest, saying:

"No, it is you who are truly kind. It is your tolerance that has forgiven his mistakes. I think Jack will be very grateful to you."

Thump thump.

Jack, who was behind him, reacted at that moment, quickly scrambled over, and shouted loudly to Ning Feng and the priest:

"Thank you for your kindness!"

Despite Jack's arms, covered in acidic liquid, wrapped around his calves, Ning Feng listened to the hissing and corroding sounds coming from his clothes and trouser legs, his smile unchanged.

He reached out and touched Jack's thinning hair, soothingly saying:

"Alright, you should go and rest now. The village still needs your protection, doesn't it?"

After finally getting Jack to release his arms, Ning Feng silently shook off the few dry blades of grass he had accidentally plucked...

"What a dedicated soldier."

My hair is so thin from exhaustion.

After thinking for a moment, Ning Feng bowed apologetically to the pastor:

"Excuse me, could you please arrange another room for me? I can hardly sleep in this unsafe room anymore."

This time it's Jack, who will it be next time?

"...So what do you want?"
