Chapter 231 You Will Die in His Arms

"His Majesty!"

The ghostly queen called out softly to the figure of Lai Enhart, her face filled with anxiety:

"Your Majesty, what's wrong? I woke up and you weren't here... How did you get injured?"

She drifted away from the ruins in a panic, seemingly wanting to rush to Ernst's side to ask about his condition.

Fifty meters, twenty meters...

As she approached Lai Enhart, Ning Feng couldn't resist biting his lip hard.

Tsk!

He took a deep breath, stepped between the two, raised his weapon towards the Ghost Queen, and spoke solemnly:

"Stop, don't go any closer."

We cannot allow her, who is likely a vessel for a deity, to come into contact with the current Lai Enhart; it would cause a huge problem.

"Who are you!?"

But compared to the Queen's reaction, the other one came much faster and was much fiercer!

Although the pressure from behind only lasted for a brief moment, Ning Feng's hair stood on end, feeling as if he were being stared at by a brutal wild beast.

!

!

The moment Ning Feng raised his weapon against the Queen, the pressure from behind surged dramatically, as did the pressure from his teammate, Lai Enhart.

He was watching his every move, ready to intervene before he could react otherwise.

They might even directly destroy it!

Damn it, this guy.

Without turning around to look at Enhart's expression, Ning Feng, facing the seemingly bewildered Ghost Queen with a furrowed brow, slowly followed Enhart and said:

"She...is also a possibility."

Ning Feng was subtly reminding Lai Enhart to be careful; saying "definitely" was already a very polite way of putting it.

The suspicion surrounding the incident is extremely high, almost to the point of being confirmed.

Why was she the only one who remained conscious while the other undead were being controlled?

And why did they arrive so late at this time?

The reasons are almost self-evident.

The facts are clear, and no amount of explanation will change anything.

"Get out of the way."

A completely emotionless voice sounded from behind, causing Ning Feng's serious expression to change once again.

Leonhardt made no further move; he simply repeated himself once more:

"Please move aside."

However, this time the voice sounded softer and gentler than before.

Judging from his voice, he was not in despair because of the loss of his close friend; instead, his voice was filled with exhaustion.

Lai Enhart was already very tired.

Now is truly the best time!

The vessel of the deity is right before us; if we destroy her, everything will be...

Ning Feng's cheek twitched a few times, but he finally frowned and lowered the blood sword he had raised.

He couldn't bring himself to harm an innocent woman, and besides, Leonhardt behind him wouldn't allow him to do so.

The situation was the same as before; even Karninfon couldn't stop Leinhardt, let alone his wife.

To his close friend, who was also a hero, Leinhardt could readily tell Karl to die for him like a hero, but Ning Feng didn't think Leinhardt could say such cruel words to his queen.

Even though the two had only known each other for less than an hour, Ning Feng still had some understanding of Lai Enhart's personality.

This is a true hero.

Even setting aside the embellished and fabricated aspects, he was still a respectable heroic king.

He is tenacious and resilient, possessing the admirable demeanor of a so-called king.

But even such a beloved being could not defeat the gods, and could only eke out a living under their irresistible power.

He resisted the assimilation of the false gods with his own will and did not become part of the collapse of this world.

In a sense, it was Lai Enhart who kept the world from collapsing; once he was destroyed, everything would be irreversible.

Fate is so regrettable.

Leonhardt is like a tragic hero.

However, Leonhardt is not without his flaws.

Limited by his mortal perspective, he had no way to truly resolve this tragic fate.

The arrogance of a king was fully displayed in him.

Arrogant, bearing all of their fate on their own shoulders.

No one else's interference is needed.

"…………"

I don't care anymore.

Ning Feng really didn't want to get involved in this kind of thing anymore.

They keep ignoring me, and in the end they make a mess of things. Am I supposed to clean it up?

I don't want to serve you anymore.

After Ningfeng stepped aside, the anxious queen rushed towards Lai Enhart, who was standing still.

Illusory tears slid down her cheeks as the queen looked anxiously at the heavily wounded king, swaying back and forth in a flustered manner.

Her arms passed through Ennhart's body time and time again, but in the end she grasped nothing.

"Your Majesty, are you alright? This spear!?"

"Is it an assassin? The one who tried to assassinate us before?"

For once, the usually gentle queen showed panic on her face and began to shout incoherently:

"Where's Carl?! Where is he? This is dereliction of duty!"

"Your Majesty! Please speak!"

Glaring at the silent king, Queen Mary finally couldn't help but shout out:

"Come to Enhart!"

!

Cough cough cough.

Amused by this, the king, who had been silent since the beginning, finally responded.
